First off, if I have done anything wrong by starting this thread, please correct me instead of bashing. I ltried simply rooting and installing twrp recovery on my lg vs450pp. Somehow I managed to get twrp recovery, but in the process I completely erased all internal storage, no OS. Then whole trying to save it, I flashed the stock recovery, and no longer have twrp. Can anyone tell me dedinitively if it is fixable or if I'm just up creek without a paddle? If it is fixable, knowing how to would be great, but at this point I really just need to know if it is first. Giant thank you to anyone who takes the time to try to help me.

Hi all. i'm having trouble finding a specific thread to help me solve my problem. (I'm not too good with rooting, and should have not messed with it in the first place!)
Anyways let's get to my problems:
So I needed to take my phone to the Verizon Store, and without thinking went straight to the Factory Reset thing. Now everytime I try booting up my phone it gets stuck on the custom bootup screen and freezes during part of the animation and just stays there.
I have read things that say try going into hboot and doing recovery, but all's it asks me to do is update, then has me reboot. It doesn't update anything as it still does the same exact thing.
My question is, can someone please help guide me through the process of returning my Thunderbolt back to STOCK. I really am unsure of what I need to download, and where I need to put things, and what I need to name them etc: Clearly I need to think twice before rooting my phone again.
Also when I go to plug my Thunderbolt into my computer via USB my computer cannot recognize the device, any suggestions why?
Thanks so much! Really really need help!
First off all it sounds like you have a pg05img.zip file on the root of the sdcard. Only way to remove it now is pulling the sdcard out and putting it in a conputer and deleting that file. Then you should be able to boot and/or get into recovery.
If that's not the case then i don't know what's preventing you from getting into recovery. Although, just a factory reset should not have caused this anyway.

How did you initially Root your device? I assume revo since so many have now. Like mentioned above make sure you check your sdcard and ensure there is no PG05IMG.zip on it. After you have checked your sdcard for that file and deleted it, or maybe it is not there try to get into recovery.
Pull your battery out and then hold Volume down + power. Where does that get you? Hopefully you made a nandroid of your device after you rooted. If you followed a guide that was most definitely recommended. If this takes you to recovery just do a restore.
If you get restored there are some very good guides that Google will lead you to on how to unroot and return to stock.
1Sorry for the super late response, I'm going to try everyone's advice now, thanks so much for the help!
a factory reset will not unroot the phone. If your going back to stock, you have to unroot it. If you bring it to verizon rooted, they may deny you service...
as stated above, just search google or here for instructions how to return to full stock
hi. i have a real big problem. i delete a file or install a app and when I re-boot my phone it returns to the old situation. i enter the android recovery and i make wipe user data/factory reset, wipe cache partition after that i re-boot my phone and its going to return old situation. I've tried deleting everything, but still was the same. and constantly having to force close error. how can i fixed? what should i do? my atrix is international and rooted.
my english is not very good. i tried to explain myself to you. if you understood what i wrote, i will be happy.
There was a thread or two about this already. No solution though. Most suspect a dying storage, ie. a hardware failure.
Can you paste links of the threads? Thank you for interest.

There were more but I can't find them right now for some reason.
help guys please.
i m working on it
thank you. i m waiting for it. please fix it.
Same thing that happened to my HOX (although there it was triggered by a corrupt partition map caused by a kernel bug, I think. /sdcard and /data are overlapping in the partition map. So much for S-On!) I think the eMMC is toast.
Your atrix emmc died. So far, no solution for that problem.
So how can i fix it? Or warranty can fix it?
(My f*ckin mind. I rooted my phone and i cant send the phone to the warranty. I m so sad. Im crying right now guys.)
I assume that you have unlocked bootloader, CWM recovery and custom ROM installed. When you try to restore your previous backup, the phone back to initial state. Same goes to Gobstopper, fastboot and fruitcakes. All these ROM cannot be flashed into your Atrix. I suggest you just try claim for warranty and persuade the service center. Sometime they accept your phone even your phone has been modified.

No my friend. I have not got an unlocked bootloader. Im on the stock 2.3.4 rom. And just rooted for the nebtop app. Please help me.
I m in trouble guys. I definitelly feel terrible.
I had the original post that was linked to you. Came to see if there was anyone else who maybe found a solution.
In general, I would say your phone is toast. There COULD be a solution out there, but I have tried everything I could think of and anything suggested on the boards.
Sometimes if I leave my phone off for a few days, and I turn it on. It functions well for about 3 minutes, and then bam, starts giving me all sorts of read errors and applications start crashing.
I feel like theres a way to solve this, but I am not gonna try hard to do it myself. Once I can afford a new phone... I will buy one.
so i flashed about 3 different zip files of CWM touch and all of them keep on saying "E:Error in /cache/recovery/last_log" and it wont let me wipe the cache or format it either, i dont know if i should attempt to go into odin and flash TWRP, but since i have CWM already i dont know if that would flash right over it or if it will have problems, if at all possible i would like to find a solution without having to go into odin so any help would be much appreciated, THANK YOU.
p.s. can do without snide comments
Read the stickies. Learn more about this phone. Or you're going to brick your device. Just stop flashing things and spend some time reading.
So I screwed up pretty bad....
I have done so many flash's / reboots over the years that I just went through it too quick and wiped EVERYTHING off the device. I am trying to install the factory rom in TWRP now but it is not working...when it trys to install it is saying no MD5 found..it completes the install and then when it asks for a reboot it is saying no OS found!
I don't know what to do...any advice or a thread anyone knows of that can help me get my phone back to a working order???? I have never made such a stupid mistake before.
Or is there a recovery somewhere I can get that will restore the phone to a usable manner so I can at least flash a fresh rom?
Never mind all! I stumbled on someone else's thread and after their experience I ended up rebooting anyway and it actually booted totally normal...Lesson learned about taking my time and double checking I still have a recovery!
Hello,
I tried flashing a custom ROM on my samsung galaxy S7 (by the way I've already done this successfully, although I clearly don't know as much as I should).
Firstly I was getting the Error 7 and "your device is ." I did fix that by deleting lines in the updater-script of the ROM. It seems that this has worked, but I couldn't get out of twrp to test it. At first I thought it was an error with my ROM, so I just tried loading the backup I'd made before, but I still couldn't get out of twrp. And there I am, I can't go in download mode, or even power off, it just puts me back in twrp.
I tried updating twrp from a .img but it just didn't work and I'm still in 3.3.1-0. Very strange.
I don't know much of the science behind this, please explain me, I don't want to brick my phone...
Thanks to anyone who tries to help.
Nevermind ?, I just did an adb reboot, got out of recovery, and my backup was applied so... I guess I won't install that custom ROM. I don't know why I had this problem, but I solved it anyway.
