Hi all,
how can get back my stock boot recovery (or whatever)?
I Stocked my cooperve with odin and just flashed Rafael-Kernel.
Everything was fine.
Then I made only a Backup with CWM 5028 and 6053 and now in Bootloop.
What can I do to boot existing Stock-ROM again without loosing data.
I canĀ“t understand that I couldnt make a Backup with CWM and now device is nearly dead.
Thanks and regards

I used a clockwork 4.0.1.4 with root enabled..i flashed it whit Odin.
Thanks guys

Flash a clean stock rom as your backup is corrupt.

Same issue
I took a full backup with CWM (4.0.0.2) to test a Kitchen ROM. After getting it to work I wanted to switch back to my standard ROM (CF-Root KE7), but it failed with the boot image ("error flashing boot image").
If the backup was corrupt I would expect the MD5 to fail, but it didn't. Like the OP I was able to restore all the other items one by one, which now gives me a Frankenstein ROM: KE7 with the Kitchen-selected Kernel (Ninphetamine) and baseband (KH1).
I'll flash a new stock ROM with CF-Root again, but I am doubting CWM now.
hi,
i got a P7510 working fine, flashed to AOKP Milestone4 4.0.3 (or 404) ... today i was trying to revert back to stock 3.x, but ODIN couldn't flash all the way, it always stuck somewhere when flashing system.img
i tried many ways, with or without PIT file, no luck ... tried on many different version of stock rom, same problem
it can still go download mode, it can still be flashed to CWM recovery ... but when flash stock rom, it stops ... anyway to put custom rom to the internal memory to flash thrugh recovery?
by the way, if i go CWM recovery, i can mount every partitions except /data ... bcoz the partition is broken? how can i repartition it?
thanks in advanced.
thnx for watching, it is solved by just using another pc ...
weird, but yup, it flashed all the to the end, and phone just reboot itself into setup screen ...
Hey there, I'm trying to root my S3 and a first step I wanted to make a nandroid backup, so i downloaded Odin and I used it to install recovery-clockwork-touch-6.0.1.0-i9300 onto my device, i rebooted into the recovery screen and I found myself in the stock recovery menu.
So i tried it once more, to no change in my situation, so I looked through the forums for a while and I found a thread by mskip about installing CWM and thankfully it had this
Stock Recovery being reflashed after a reboot?
There is an auto recovery restore system on stock roms that will reflash the Stock Recovery on a Stock Rom. If the restore files are renamed then CWM Recovery should not be overwritten after a reboot.
You need to be rooted and then delete or rename the following files:
Quote:
/system/recovery-from-boot.p
/system/etc/install-recovery.sh
You can then flash recovery without it being overwritten.
You can also do all this through the S3 ToolKit

My problem being that I can't rename said files bacause my phone isn't rooted and the S3 toolkit requires rooting to do backups and such, and I can't root it because (unless I misunderstood) I need CWM installed.
So my question is : What can I do now? Can I root my phone in any other way ? Is there a way to get past this Stock recovery screen onto CWM?
Already thanks for reading and sorry for it being this long
Also I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 I have Android 4.1.1 And I run Windows 7 on my PC
Ok, so I looked around a bit and I just rooted it without a backup, it seemed safe enough.
Root went well, I backed up right after just in case.
Use cf root and flash via Odin that will give you root and flash cwm. Then you can continue with your nandroid backup. All though you can do the full root procedure using that toolkit, its one of the options. Hope I could help

Hi , I have a question.
Can I LGNPST an encrypted phone.
My device seems to be encrypted and I am not able to boot into the ROM.
I have wiped the device via TWRP , but not I was wondering will I be able to flash Custom roms or stock roms back on it , or Restore backup ??
I am able to boot into recovery though , but the sdcard partition seems corrupted or encrypted.
A help would be appreciated.
EDIT :----------------------------------
This is strange.
I installed CM10.2 and rebooted it works fine , but when I reboot my phone after the CM10.2 has booted up fine , it shuts down .
That is I am only able to boot once after installing Cm10.2 , after which in next reboot the device doesn't boots up.
I have to install Cm10.2 everytime , my device switches off.
Strange .
I encrypted my phone by mistake and LGNPST got me back. I remember .. After flashing it still said phone was encrypted upon bootup and prompted me to factory restore the phone ? Then I went in the recovery and restored my backup

Thanks for replying.
It appears that mine wasn't accepting any custom Roms, giving the trouble as I described it earlier.
I had to lgnpst the alt bins then flash the stock at&t jellybean Rom.
Its working fine now,

Hi. I own a Karbonn Titanium S5 Plus/+.
I was looking to install a stock 4.4 ROM. So I rooted my phone with rootmaster (I do not own a PC).
I download some unofficial CWM for my phone from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2634569.
when Backing up from custom recovery it says Can't Mount/system.
my biggest mistake is that I did not Backup original recovery.
I even went to cyber cafe and tried this method of flashing stock rom of my phone. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2718505 But it didnt work at all.
So my problems are :
1.I cannot Factory reset my phone.when i select factory reset from settings, it boots up in recovery.when i select factory reset from recovery it doesnt change a thing.
2.My phone has a update . when i try to update,it again boots up in recovery.I tried updating from update.zip but it gives STATUS 7 Error.
3.Again due my stupid mistake of not backing up while changing the boot animation I am stuck with a custom boot animation. Is there a way I can revert it back to original.?
The company's website does not provide stock rom its devices.
Is there any way that I can bring my phone back to full Factory State (Without PC)?
