I accidentally flashed wrong ROM on my Xperia Tablet Z.
I own a SGP311 device and I flashed ROM for SGP321, from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-tablet-z/general/stock-10-7-0-222-customizedde-t3201224.
I successfully installed it with TWRP and after clicking reboot to system the tablet is not responding. Now I can't power on the device, cannot connect it in flashmode, it doesn't charge and so on...
I can only get led to flash after pressing certain key combinations.
Is there any solution?
Thanks for all your help!

Switch it off by holding VOL+Power for about 10 sec.
Let it charge for an hour or two, while it is charging check for all necessary drivers installed on your PC and then flash firmware via Flashtool or restore via pc-companion.
Oh, I just left it charging for a couple of hours (though there was no led on) and then I was able to connect in flashmode (vol- when plugging usb to pc). I then flashed firmware via flashtool. Thanks!
Have a bricked Tablet here too
I was on look for a ROM and on some Point i was in de XPeria Z Forum and havent recognize that....so i have flashed a rom for the xperia z phone
Before flashing the rom i has flashed the dual-recovery for my tablet...after i have root it with kingroot...the recovery works fine and the tablet too after the recovery-flash
It flashed the false rom without any errors....and after complete i have clicked on reboot...
And so i have the same problem as the threadstarter...
But.....when i try to connect my tablet to pc for the flashmode....the flashtool cant find it....i connect it with volume down....but no led...no reaction on pc...on flashtool...
Is there any way how i can re-animate my tablet?

install all the necessary drivers for FlashTool or use PC-Companion to restore your device.
I have the same problem I accidentally installed a SGP-321 costum rom on my SGP-312 and now it doesn't boot anymore. I've already charged it for a few hours and then I tried to repair the software via PC companion but when I connect my device it doesn't recognize it. The Flash Tool doesn't recognize it either. I tried to install the flashtool drivers but it didn't work. I selected the following components to install: Flashmode Drivers, Fastboot Drivers, Xperia Tablet Z drivers SGP311, SGP312, UsbD and Xperia Z3 Device Driver. Some of these drivers couldn't be installed.

So I installed Universal ADB drivers but the Flash Tool still doesn't recognize.
Could anyone help me please?

Check manuals how to properly install drivers (on Win 7/8.1 and especially 10 if you're on it). Also two last drivers from the list are not needed for tablet z. Without properly installed drivers, it's useless to try to restore/reflash tablet. It will not work.

try to change the connection mode from MTP to MSC or vice versa.
make sure you have the latest pc companion installed. if it is there try to re-install the pc companion. also try to be connected with the internet while connecting the phone.
if your phone is able to charge it self, then the phone & cable is fine. its an issue with your pc / drivers installed in PC.
you also try to remove the pc companion, & let windows detect itself the phone as media device & then install the pc companion

"Here is the solution. Right My Computer and select properties. Goto device manager. And locate MTP USB Device. Right click and choose select update driver. Select 'browse my computer for drivers' and then choose "Let me pick drivers to install". You will get two options select the USB controllers and click OK and you are done."

Hi,
I unlocked the bootloader of my SK17i via the testpoint, now I am trying to install a custom kernel (rage kernel).
It seems that there is no way for the device to go to "fast boot mode" it goes to "flash mode". I really don't know what the is going.
I even tried the "Reboot into fast boot" option, nothing happened..
I installed without any error the drivers.exe file that was into the flash tool (OS: windows XP SP3)
The firmware is 4.0.2.a.0.62, flashtool version: flashtool-0.9.10.1
here is the log of the flash tool

Thank you in advance for any info/help
First of all - Did you install the fastboot driver for your phone?
Also, did you hold down volume up button while connecting your phone to pc?
Also again,is your phone have status Bootloader Unlock Allowed : No?If yes,you can't use fastboot sorry...even without unlocking bootloader, the device with yes status can access fastboot

It seems it was an issue with the USB ports! When I connect the mobile to any USB 1.1 port (its an old Thinkpad, as my main system runs win8x64 and its not easy to install non signed drivers there..) the XP did not pop up the info that found "fastboot device" etc etc. After I used an USB 2.0 PCMCIA card everything went well!
Just to reply to your questions, the Bootloader unlock status is YES, I connected the XMP when I pressed the volume UP (notification LED was Blue) and as I mention I installed all the drivers from the drivers.exe that came with the flashtool. It seems that the device cannot connected to fastboot mode using USB 1.1 ports...
I have the same problem. I am in cm10 now with their extended kernel. But now, when I try to flash any kernel, my phone desn't connect with flashboot mood. It always connect with flash mood. I have installed proper drivers.
So, why this is happening?
Please

Hi everyone
i have a very rare problem with my x10 which is stocked at Sony Ericsson logo.
the problem is caused by flashing FeraLab Rom without flashing the FeraKernel before that. I didnt knew kernel is a most and should be installed first and that started to fuc my phone..
after that i tried everything in the net, installed everything that was related to xperia x10 drivers to get it detected by the PC but it just doesnt work and im still having the damn problem.
i tried using sony companion, sony update service ( which i guess doesnt support sony ericsson phones anymore ) to repair and anything els. but they're not helping me either.
I just need some help here to get my xperia x10 get detected by the windows 7 and flashtools/sony companion to repair it and reflash the roms.
right now when i connect it to pc it just says Unknown Device detected and by trying to updating driver with sdk tool and everything els, it still has problems. another message i get during this process is USB Device Not Recognized.
if any expert here have solutions for me, please give it to me, im stuck on this for about 1 week and you may know what that make me feel..
ok, first you must install SEMC flash drivers for X10, this are drivers that I used on my Win7 and Win8.1

thanks for helpin!
you need to connect your device in flash mode in order to install this drivers. To do this, first turn off your X10 and unplug it from your PC. Then press and hold back button and connect the phone to PC USB port. You should see black screen and green LED on, and the PC should find a new device called "SEMC HSUSB Device". Now install on this new founded device drivers from above.

try to disable digital signature requirement using this method:
Method 1.
Go to Start Menu and type "cmd.exe" in the Search Bar and press <Enter>. (Remember you must be logged on as Administrator)
OR you can go to "All Programs", then "Accessories", right-click on "Command Prompt" and choose "Run as administrator".
1. Now type the following and press <Enter> after each line:
bcdedit.exe -set loadoptions DDISABLE_INTEGRITY_CHECKS
bcdedit.exe -set TESTSIGNING ON
2. Restart your computer
3. This will disable your Windows 7 driver signing.
4. Install the driver for your device (X10i)
If this did NOT work for you, here is another way to disable Windows 7 driver signing.
Method 2.
1. During boot-up, continuously press <F8> to get to Advanced Boot Options. Note: On some systems, you need to first press <F2> to go into Boot Menu, then press <F8> to reach Advanced Boot Options.
2. When the menu appears, use the DOWN arrow key to scroll to “Disable Driver Signature Enforcement.”
3. Press <Enter>.
4. Continue the boot process.
5. After your computer has completed the boot process, try to install the driver for your device.
Hope this helps..

Tom
My phone is now bricked because I tried to flash the stock ROM(4.4.2) to my phone(6.0.1). At the time, I didn't know that you must format the phone before I guess, "downgrading" it. After I searched on google that I should format it, I went to SP Flash Tool to format it, and the phone got formatted. Now, all I need to do is to flash the stock ROM right? So I did flash the stock ROM to my phone, made sure that VCOM drivers are installed, using the latest version of SP Flash Tool. BUT, when I connected the phone to my laptop(through USB), the laptop detected it, when I press the Download button on the SP Flash Tool it's just at 0%. I tried to use the Firmware upgrade but still, stuck at 0%. I tried it on another PC and still, no luck. What do I do??? PLEASE HELP. I have until afternoon to fix it on my own because I'll give it to the local mobile repair shop.
BTW, the phone is still charging as I'm writing this thread
First of all install the drivers to your pc
Then, enable usb debugging in developer options in settings
Then, connect your phone
Now check whether pc recognize your phone if yes
Then, power off your phone
Now find the scatter file in sp flash tool and then click on download button
After it connect your switched off phone to pc with a usb cable
You will see that sp flash tool will recognize your device and start formatting and then downloading....
All this process will takes only 4-5 minutes at most.

I fixed mine by connecting the test point
You must open your phone and connect ground (any wire to ground) and find the preloader testpoint
Mine was the second test point near the volume control and power button next to the sim or black cable under the orange plastic covering the connector
I dont have the picture but i can give you an example (not s860 but similar)
WARNING: FOR PEOPLE WHO KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!
BE CAREFUL OR YOUR PHONE WILL BE DEAD!

Those are test points, find a wire (any electrical wire) screw it to the screw that's holding the motherboard (for ground) and try each one of the test point, be careful not to connect the wire to vcc, vcharge or any 4.xx pins (if you were checking using a multimeter)
Here's a video for disassembling the phone : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ry37RjmnZRo
And here's for reference : http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f672/lenovo-a850-dead-boot-how-easy-jtag-1868940/index2.html
http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vbb/f958/a850-lenovo-dead-while-flashing-1888753/
After you find the test point, the phone will be detected by the computer as vcom or something, quickly install the mtk65xx driver (if you haven't install yet) and flash the stock rom using sp flash.
Best of luck.
Heyo
Following situation:
I tried to root and flash my old Sony Xperia Z3 compact which I have been using as an mp3 player. I successfully did so (I think), however when I wiped my data to flash to linage os, it gave me error 7. I assumed it was because my TWRP version was way out of date so I updated that, and hit "reboot into recovery" to activate the new twrp version.
Unfortunately the phone didn't boot into recovery and just wound up stuck at the sony screen without anything else since no OS is installed.
I can't boot into recovery manually either, it just boots into the sony logo and gets stuck there.
I do have a backup in twrp but I can't install that since I can't get into recovery, and I can't manually access the storage since usb debugging is not active while on the sony startup screen.
Is there anything I can do or is my z3c rip?
I can connect the phone in fastboot and flashmode and flashtool does recognize it, however I can't really seem to do anything while in flashmode and fastboot mode doesn't work since flashtool tells me I don't have the right drivers for the device, however when I try to install the driveres it hands out an error message

I've attatched 4 screenshots in my OP, thats all I see, it doesn't actually state what the error is, just that it didn't finish.
Will it go through with win7? Actually that aside, is there a way to force a new os onto the phone via the flashtool to begin with?
Since your Windows computer needs to recognize the Xperia z3 based on Qualcomm chipset once connected, the PC should have installed proper USB drivers. which in no case depends on Windows version or Windows edition. You have to obtain the USB drivers and also the ADB / Fastboot drivers from OEM's / Carrier's website. It's never a good idea to install the ADB / Fastboot drivers elsewhere offered on WEB.
And once installed, restart the PC.
If successful then use

But all of that aside, even if I do get fastboot running, is there even a way to force a new OS onto the phone via some tool?
