[Q] Desire X Unusable Screen need data

Hi, Dropped my 2 week old Desire X, shattered screen, unreadable, in fact, its black!
What I want to know is, how to transfer the data from my phone to either my old HTC Wildfire S or on to my netbook? I can hear it booting up.
I don't have lots of knowledge with this type of thing and never went through insurance as last time my sons phone got lost it was cheaper to go buy a new one!
So, please don't get too technical.
Any help would be fab.x
What type of data you need to transfer?
Sent from my HTC Desire X
The data i need is all my contacts, most other stuff is on my sd card.
Hi, I thought someone out there wouldve been able to give me some advice?
Can you try official htc sync software? It can transfer contacts and that stuffs
Flowed from my HTC branded muffin...
Arent some of the contacts already on the sd card
Did u sync your contacts to Google account ?
Sent from my HTC Desire X

[Q] Buy new nano SIM card, or cut old one from HTC Inspire?

I currently have an HTC Inspire. It's gettin old in that many apps that are coming out don't support the gingerbread operating system. I'm at the point where I need to get another phone. I decided on getting a Desire 610, but it uses a nano sim card, and the Inspire uses the old standard sized card. I've seen some do it yourself videos where people are cutting down the edges of their old cards and using them in newer phones. What do you 610 owners think about that? Remember, the inspire uses the old sized SIM cards, and I haven't seen any net successes of anyone cutting those down to nano sized. Or...........should I just foot the bill and buy a new nano card. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
You don't have to buy one. Go to your nearest carrier store, and they'll swap your number to a new card for free. I've done it multiple times.
There are tools that resize SIM to nano SIM with the blink of an eye.
DO NOT use them.
SIM is thicker than nano SIM.
The risk is that you have (big) problems the day you want to take the SIM out because the phone has to go to repair.
If you really want to cut it then do not push it all the way in afterwards or use sand paper to make it thinner before (backside of course).

SD Card not being recongised

I've got the verizon version of Moto Z (Droid) in Australia.
Works great - love the phone. I was using it with my existing MicroSDCard. One day it stopped recognising it.
I assume it was the card gone wrong/corrupted. Bought a new Samsung Evo 128gb card. Just got it and put it in but still doesn't show up.
I've inserted the same card into my Surface Pro and it sees it and is able to read and write files to it. Formatted FAT32.
Any ideas on how to make it work on the Moto Z?

Photos transfer to SD card then disappear.

Hi I bought a (128gb sandisk SD card) for my pocophone F1, at first the files were transfering fine but when I reached 28gb everything I transfer now just disappears.
I have had this problem before from buying cheap SD cards granted they were unbranded SD cards.
This one was branded and not cheap and was fully packaged.
the only explanation I can think of is it's fake, or could it be my phone, people with the pocophonne f1 were saying that thier files were transfering slow but this bug might have been fixed, as there have been lots of updates for the pocophone F1 since, so if anyone can help much appreciated thanks.
Hi just a little update I bought my SD card from eBay and this was my response from the seller.
Hi thanks for informing me please send the card back and I will refund you and when I go to the warehouse I will tell them I no it’s frustrating this is also happening on amazon apologies for the inconvenience.
To me the seller conceded that the SD card was fake very quickly but that might just be my suspicious mind lol so who can I trust to buy from to get a legitimate SD card thanks.
