Moto 360 stained between lugs? - Moto 360 2015

I've got a new moto 360 (2015), but the case between the lugs (on both sides) seems stained.
Is this normal?

Mine looked like that too. I took off the straps and wipoed it with a damp cloth and it went away.

How is your GS2 holding up? (wear and tear)

I swear the black plastic on the bottom back of the phone is engineered to get "scuffed" the first time you set it down . Other than that I have some lint in the little gap between the screen and the metal rim around the front.
I'm not going to use cases or screen protectors so all of this can be expected, just wondering how everyone else's is holding up? Any drops yet?

Wow, then I'm guessing we should all come back to this post in a month because you're proably our best durablity test example.
I HIGHLY recoomend a silicon case; protects the phone greatly, and makes it more sturdy to hold!
I got a complete package when I bought my GS2 for 5 euro.. A white and black silicon case, car charger and screen protector. Even though it isnt beautiful, I always keep my GS2 protected by a case
holding out for invisible shield now...
Absolutely fine for me, no marks whatsoever, no slow down of the software.
Have got a little dust around the edges between the edge and the screen.
i never use cases or screen protectors wether in mint or sh*t condition after 1 year who cares its time to upgrade.
sold my SGS after one year for AUD$350 and i never used a case or anything. (hopping to do the same next year with my SGS ii
Don't have any scratches or scuffs on it yet, but that's pure luck...I've managed to drop it twice and both times it landed on something soft. I love the phone but holding it can be a little awkward at times, it's angular shape and width does mean that I often have to shift my hands to accommodate it.
For that reason, I've put on a screen protector and I'm now waiting for an SGP Ultra Capsule Case to arrive. I'm hoping that will make it a bit more 'grippy' and less likely to slip out of my hands. My biggest concern is the camera lens, it seems terribly exposed there on the back of the device and it feels like I could damage it just by putting it down a bit too strongly.
Dropped mine 12 days ago. A juggle managed to launch it to a height of 5ft and then it landed totally flat screen down onto concrete with small stones on it. Shattered glass and non-working LCD.
Still waiting for Samsung to supply a replacement.

.... .. my condolences. Something like that is the only reason I sometimes fantasize about getting a case.
The dust between the screen, how do we get it out? wet qtip?
I got 1 tiny scratch on the bezel around the headphone jack. It happen the second day I had the phone. I've lost hope in the couple screen protectors I've ordered. I just ordered a zagg full body protector. I've got an a official samsung case coming now.
But I have never heavily damaged a phone besides my hd2. I'm like 48 out of 50 in keeping phones in great condition while not using a consistent case.
I truly hate the silver cheap bezel on all phones. Usually the only thing I tend to scratch.

Mine has a slightly weird hardware quirk since I first got it - the chrome border around the glass is slightly raised above the glass on right, but slightly below the glass on the left. It's like the glass is a bit angled / tilted up on the left.
Anyone else have this?
Nope mine is fine.
No scratches, have been using it for a month. I always put it on a cloth on my desk when I'm at home.
The dust between the glass and the plastic border annoys the **** out of me. I try to scrape it out with a needle, but they're too thick.

To remove the dust between the screen and the border all you need is compressed air. I was trying to get it out tonight by using my fingernail through a microfiber cloth to no effect. I pulled out my compressed air and that got it all out instantly.
On another note, I'm using the official Galaxy S II case until my Invisible Shield arrives in the next couple of days, hoping to convert totally to that and not have to use a case.
Can't you remove the dust in there with a can of compressed air and one of those straw attachments? Actually I might go out and buy one.
I definitely agree with the raised bottom on the back of the phone; mine's scuffed quite heavily although the front of the phone is fine, and IMO that's all that matters. A phone's meant to be used and it'll get scratches and whatnot over time.
I've got a feeling i'll be replacing this further down the track anyway since most of my phones don't look too healthy after the 18 month mark. Also have full insurance/warranty cover...if I happen to lose it they'll issue me a new one. Gotta love Korean telcos.

Leather quick circle case with magnet?

I'm kind of a huge fan of leather cases. I had one for my S4 for the whole time I had it. I really want one for the G3, but the only one I can find that has the hole for Quick Circle doesn't have a magnetic clasp, so it'll just fall open. Does anyone know of a case similar to this one, but with a magnet to keep it closed?

I would recommend waiting for some more circle cases to come out and just get a nice normal case, but if you really want the case with the magnetic clasp and you could always cut the screen protector out.(or in my case a dremel tool cause the plastic is very tough and thick) That's what I did with a circle case I did not realize had a screen protector in.

If you look at the official LG quick case you can see that it does not have a screen protector and that's because you need to be able to touch that portion of the screen to use all the quick circle features like messaging or changing music. The screen protector just gets in the way.

The case I posted doesn't have a screen protector or a magnet. I really don't even need the quick circle part. I just want a genuine leather case. I suppose you are right about waiting though. For now, I ordered the one I originally posted. It's not as bad not having a magnet as I thought it would be, but this one also uses fake leather, so that's kind of disappointing.

the magnet is kinda of a double edge sword. Helps protect it by keeping it closed during a fall but you do have to pry it open a little bit as their probably a little stronger then they need to be. Case has a nice texture and feel to it. The circle window has a very thick clear screen making the screen very unresponsive, I ended up just cutting it out.. Very confident that this cover would protect the phone in a fall. No cut out for the notification light . Also putting a debit card in the interior slot makes the auto/off and circle notifiication seldom work. I have a Zagg glass screen protector and I'm not sure if its it or the lg screen is just picky when it comes to working the circle app. Not a bad case though.

Plastic film on backside?

I got my moto 360 v2 today. The quick guide says "...remove the plastic film from the back of the watch and charge...". On my brandnew moto 360 v2 there was just a plastic film on the front which could be removed easily. But the backside just looks like glass without "plastic film".
Questions:
Is there a plastic film on the back?
If yes, how to remove it?
Or is quick guide just wrong?
Maybe a stupid question... But i don't want to scratch backside trying to remove a "plastic film" which is not there

Mine did not have too, please don't try to remove a slice of glass
my watch did have it. I missed that part of the instructions and found out what happens if you don't remove the film. if you don't remove it, the watch either fails to charge or does so super slowly....
I remember removing mine like three days after i got it.
I also have this doubt
Mine did have one and it's very easy to see. This is what it looks like.
Hm, not on my watch... On front yes but nothing on back.
Mine came in a Motorola tape sealed box and no back film in sight. Just the front film.
Mine had it. It was impossible to see and hard to find an edge to pull it off, but I finally got it to lift a bit and was able to pull it off. I'm betting it's there and you just don't see it yet.
My Moto 360 Sport had it. There was a bubble in mine so it was easy to see but otherwise without this thread if it was on perfectly i certainly could see how people wouldn't know. It is tricky to remove.
This is sad, trying to identify that dammit plastic, I mistaken and took a bit the plastic back part using a little hole in the back. Don't do it, you are going to open the rear side of the clock and letting the circuits open.
Motorola should be more explicit about the dammit plastic.

Bumper Case for Xperia Z2?

I was wondering if there are any good bumber cases for Z2.
Rubberised, aluminium etc etc. It just has to look and feel goodand also protect the phone from falls and stuff. I tried searching on Flipkart, Amazon etc but wasn't sure about the quality of those aluminium bumper cases. If anyone who've tried them can clear my doubts, let alone suggest me one. Thanks
I came to my this a week ago, aluminum, It seems very durable nice and comfortable

Personally I use one of these (see link) from AliExpress. Not the same buyer I used but they are in there if you look for slightly cheaper. This case has a screw to keep the bumper on and my phone has survived MANY drops AND also was run over by a car! Still working though I was also using front and back tempered glass protectors, also my proximity sensor is bust, but took the pressure of the car and front screen survived. I put it down to this lock tight metal bumper.

It covers the phone as well as doesnt cover it completely which normally gives bad look. So i m happy. This is from India i suppose, maybe u can find the same one from ebay.com
I've ordered this one from eBay:

Only 2 GBP, hard matte black rubberized plastic plus a cutout for magnetic charger.
The sellers down to his last one.
Looking at the other case mentioned above I guess the one I've ordered isn't a bumper case as the o/p suggested.

Not necessarily. It depends what part of the phone the aluminum covers. Some only cover the outer perimeter and shouldn't make any difference to signal strength.

yes necessarily ! what you mean is "not at the same degree" . When you put metal all way around your phone you create the Faraday cage phenomenon which leads to degraded signal . If that is 10% or 40% it really depends but i wouldnt risk it. Just buy a plastic or leather one
Lmao

Any good rubber bumpers with the hole for the magnetic charger?

Question Does anything stick to the back ? (so far magnet stickers dont)

I was hoping to attach a magnet ring to use a Magsafe finger ring. But the adhesive basically bounced off the back of the case. (cream color for reference). The ring stuck perfectly right after to my Note10+ so it has to be something about the back glass that has a super slick coating. Just wondering if things like magnet rings or stickers etc are basically useless against this mutant super powered anti stick back cover.

It creates dead spots in the screen. Instead of adhering it to the phone. Maybe a case and attach one to it.
I used to cut holes in the otter box and adhere my magnet directly to the hard plastic. I got those super strong ball and magnet holders for my tool box car and desk. One magnet for 2 different holders. As well one on my tripod for night shots. But it always made dead spots the pen don't work.
Thats the thing. Im trying to go caseless. Not a fan of the thickness coming from a Note10+ which almost fees like half the girth.
You have to get the magsafe ring that is not magnetic. Then your phone should be okay. There are ones that are compatible with magsafe but they're just metal rings. Those will not affect the s pen or the screen. Otherwise you'll have to put the mag safe sticker on a case rather directly than on the phone.
