Well here is what I do everyday :
When I'm at home my WiFi is always on.
The volume is mostly muted or I use my headset.
At home I use the minum screen light.
At home I'm playing apps like : Pocket Legends.(ONLINE GAMES).
Or I'm watching YouTube also I'm online on Windows Live Messenger but mostly skype,
talking with friends.
I use my Archos 3-4Hours/day...
But when I noticed that my battery drowns that fast was when I was flying to Cuba.
The flight from Paris to Cuba was 10Hours =S I thought I'll have enough for like a day but no =( I watched a whole Simpsons season aprox 4hours and I played a few apps...But still drowns to fast !
My friend has a home-tab and his battery life is enough for 3days !!!!!!
He came to stay at my home for 4 days but he forgot his cable .
Plox Help =)
Are you sure that you ever so slightly have read the specs of the A70it?
http://www.archos.com/products/ta/archos_70it/specs.html?country=fr&lang=fr
It says there up to 7 Hours of video, which is under optimal conditions.
If you can watch movies for 4 hours, and play some games then that is perfectly inside of the specs.
If your friend can watch movies for 3 Days, he should try to sell that thing for alot of money.
And for your normal use, Display on, wifi on and Skype are responsible for the fast drain.
Disable skype and syncing that your tab can sleep while off, you can get a week when you just surf a bit.

Thanks =) I never Syncd =S I dont know what that is =S... Nvm.
My friend didnt watch movies he played apps on DARK screen minimum screen light.
Well it seems that my battery is pretty good Thanks =)
You don't have to sync, but you probably didn't switch autosyncing off.
I switched background sync off !
I save up to 3% of battery !! =O !
Thats pretty cool :>.
But anyway's thanks for the help =).
Is this a 250GB version of the A70IT or the 8GB? I have both and the former is ridiculous for battery life!
The problem is that probably the hdd doesn't spin down.
The new G9 hdd versions have a seagate with a small ssd, and that will spin down well.
What sw do you have on that 70H?
thanks for this information mate

Best Sport GPS App?

I like to use my Nexus to track my cycling rides, and I am currently using Endomondo. I think the battery life is fair/great but soon I will be going on a long ride for charity, (210km, about 7-8 hours) And I don't think the battery would last that long, I don't even know if ill be able to record it all on my phone, but do you know what gps app you get the most battery out of? I am unable to compare myself since all my rides are different distance & times.
Both Strava and Map my Ride are pretty good... great features, and in use by some of most serious cyclists I know. GPS is going to drain your device fast no matter what app you use though.

[Q] Endomondo on HOX+

I've decided... almost. I want to buy hox+ international version, but my concern is running endomondo on it. I use it often on 9-10h bicycle trips.
So: screen mostly off (95% of time), power saving on, gps on, data transmision on (endomondo requires it), few minutes of maps checks, maybe some music?
So yes, it is all about battery life.
Are here Endomondo Sports Tracker on HOX+ users? :highfive:

I use runtastic for the same purposes and more or less in the same way as you just described. It gets through a cycling day no problem. Mine is rooted and I'm using Ordroid 4.0 which provides excellent battery life but even stock is fine. I also have a Nexus 4 and I can guarantee you that battery, audio, and camera aren't even comparable to the One X+

I use Endomondo Pro all the time as my work out app. The HOX+ can handle a full day tracking without problem. I recently used mine on an 11 hour cycle, used 3G along the way, a couple of calls and sms and still had 30% left when I got home. I think the battery life on this phone is pretty good.
Odp: [Q] Endomondo on HOX+
Another good news, thank you.
on a further note Endomondo doesn't need data to be on to log workouts. I rarely turn data on and sometimes I even put the phone in airplane mode if I really need to save battery

Magic 2014

I just want to start with I love this game and it runs very well on my Note.
Does anyone else play this game? and if so about how long can you play before your battery dies? Just curious as this app seem to really take it out of the Note.
I got about 35minutes of play before my full battery was down to 20%.

Moto 360 sport information required

Hello.
I was looking to buy a Moto 360 SPORT as it was on sale on amazon.
I just wanted someone using it to tell me if it's worth it.
What features can i use offline and without a phone?
What essential features require me to be connected to the internet or a phone?
How's the battery life?
Is the GPS, heart rate, sport trackings all right?
I've read reviews saying the battery is poor. Any word?
Need help ASAP.
Thanks a ton.
Ashwin
The GPS is SLOW, but works. You need a phone to set it up, and install apps and watch faces without ADB (not 2.0). Battery lasted most of the day for me. If you forget your phone, you can connect to a Wi-Fi connection to go online and even text.

How's texting done? Only voice? Or is there a swiping keyboard? Is android wear 2.0 assured?
Thanks.
Android wear 2.0 is not assured. Swiping keyboard is not available. Battery is not great if you keep it connected to phone. Approximately 12 hrs on mixed usage with ambient display on. GPS and heart rate work superb.
