Should I update my baseband? - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a N9005 Note 3, which came from Australia, and has an AU Vodafone baseband. I'm using it in the UK. It has no problems with reception, but I'm wondering if changing my baseband might solve any of these problems I'm having...
I've rooted (towelroot) the phone and every 5.0 and 5.1 roms I install have the following problem. Netflix will not load movies, BBC iPlayer's video is out of sync with audio, and the camera is unable to record video ) and often crashes the phone (regardless if I install Note 3 camera or Note 4/S6 cameras when using a rom that's ported from those devices). Putting back a 4.4.2 custom firmware solves all these problems.
I know that Lollipop has not been released for this Australia handset, and I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

To maintain ICS and fix these problems, you may do a factory data reset; if you want to GB, flash with an official Samsung program an official package to restore GB.

[Q] Problem with the baseband

Hello to everyone! I received as present an LG Optimus Sol (E730). I changed some roms and now I've got the stock SOL LX by poogie with Kernel with sweep2wake,BLN,GPU OC etc by xpaum. Since I put the first rom I always had problems with GPS signal. I tryed all the possible ways to fix it (APGS patch, modified gps.conf file in different ways, ecc...) but it's still not working good. I mean, using "gps test" after 10 min it can get 3 satellites but if I use google maps it is always on searching for gps signal. I come from Italy and the original firmware was the v10b brand vodafone. Now I have the v10b no brand. Are they the same? Because I guess the problem is related with the baseband and I don't want to come back to a vodafone brand version but I want my gps back!! What can I do? Any suggestion? Thank you in advance...cheers!

Rebranding....Vodafone UK

I am trying to switch my OS to the official one supported by Vodafone. In the coming weeks VF UK will be launching wifi calling and I want to get in on that. The problem I have is downloading stock firmware, problem is the firmware also seems to install both German and UK based apps.
Does anyone have any advice to stop this from happening....its not a big problem, I am just concerned I maybe not installing correct firmware, even though I have sourced it from Sammobile.
Any advice?

Some stuttering issues?

Hi guys and devs, I have few questions for you about my S9+ exynos.
It was precedently branded (TIM), but now It is without brand (I used odin to flash no branded stock firmware). I saw that now after the last update (August patch), my phone has some lag (stuttering) in the UI. Could be the no brand firmware? I know that the processor is the same, but I have rooted my phone to try some Rom and kernel, and with other ROMs it has no lag. And also with custom kernel, stock firmware no branded it lags, but other ROMs don't lag. Now, a download from sam mobile is long as 2 years of my life, I could try branded Rom, but I would like to know if someone knows already the answer.

Oreo for Hong Kong Region is out!

https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-c7/SM-C7000/TGY/download/C7000ZHU3CRI5/236514/
But it might be t-mobile rom. I flashed one of open china oreo roms (and it was awesome except chinese stuff) and when i was downgrading i chose the lastest 7.0.
When i flashed the firmware, i realized that it was a t-mobile rom and had t-mobile's settings section (i couldn't even get signal).
Can someone confirm that this is not a t-mobile rom?
No its not tmobile i have updated via software upadte ota. It works fine. No signal problem.C7000ZHU3CRI5
