Do these exist? I want to protect the phone from falls and seems like a bumper would be the best way to do this. I don't like cases that cover the back.
Also what's the best tampered glass solution? What do you guys think of phantom glass?
I don't believe there is backless bumper case for the Nexus 6. I don't use tempered glass so I don't have an opinion on that.

The weight of Nillkin Bumper for nexus 6 is approx. 19 grams. Which is around 1/2 of the weight of the fusion case.
---------- Post added at 11:46 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:39 PM ----------
For your reference , Ringke slim is 24 grams. Spigen Thinfit is 26 grams. Nillkin Bumper is 19 grams.
Fusion case should weight about 35-40 gram.
I have 3 of the Nillkin bumpers and they are nice. Good grip and look good, especially with a Dbrand skin.
The BEST tempered glass protector (and customer service) goes to Intelliarmor. You can see their replies and how hard they work to solve member's issues here. I bought the Edge-to-Edge tempered glass and there isn't one bit of halo under the glass. They did an excellent job making the edge-to-edge version. You can find the Tempered Glass discussion in the accessories section.
This is the tempered glass protector I use. I love it.

I have a Nillkin bumper too. Waited like 3 weeks for it to arrive from China (before they were available with Prime shipping). I don't like it. Not a fan of how it wraps around the back a little. I wish there was a true bumper, like the CaseMate my wife has on her Moto X.

They already have the Feather, Ultra Thin Snap on case, available on their site.
$24.99
Have you used Incipio cases before?
I would be interested when somebody gets the feather case. On Amazon it's $24.99 with free shipping if you are a prime member. But it says temporarily out of stock, and looks like the neon-blue and gray cases are mixed up (pictures are opposite).
Looks like a nice thin case that doesn't add much bulk; interested to know what the 'soft touch' feels like. Are we talking soft plastic (like back of the DNA), or a suede type touch?
I ordered a black one from day deals.com... They usually ship out of so cal so I should have it tomorrow or Saturday. The incipio soft touch is very similar to the DNA back

Do you think the Incipio Feather case is different then the Nillkin case? One is $8, the other is $25....
Have you previously owned an Incipio case? I'm tempted to get the grey colored Feather case, but I'm just wondering if it's significantly better then the Nillkin.

Looking at the Incipip Feather, it looks identical to the Nilliken slim case for $7 or 1/3 the cost. I love my Nilliken case.
Sent from my Octo Core 1920p HTC Galaxy Droid Incredible 10X with 100Mp camera, 9000 mAh battery & 500Gb of memory.
Main difference is soft touch back versus textured back on my nilkin white. Plus my nilkin is already yellowing. Might have more wraparound coverage. I'll know later today or monday
Sent from my HTC6435LVW using xda app-developers app
It might look identical to the Nilkin ebay case, but overall quality, from the feel of the plastic (more flexible) and the premium soft touch coating throughout are way nicer than the Nilkin.
That said... Whether it is worth the extra money is up to the end user. I am/was happy with the Nilkin, but am slightly disappointed in it yellowing so quickly (it has been used as a day to day case perhaps 7-8 total days, I have a cruzerlite A2 case that i was reviewing and tried an Otterbox Commuter which I use when i snowboard). That isn't great longevity, but again, for the money, no complaints.
I'll put up some pics tomorrow.

I ordered the Nillkin case, once I found one without the dot pattern on the back. I really didn't care for that pattern, and I did manage to find a Nillkin case without it, in black. Figured for $8, why not.
My Nillkin case should arrive tomorrow (tracking shows it's already in L.A.), and, of course, a few days ago I come across the Incipio case!

UAG Case: http://www.amazon.com/URBAN-ARMOR-G...TF8&qid=1384756227&sr=8-3&keywords=UAG+note+3

SUPCASE: http://www.amazon.com/SUPCASE-Samsu...8&qid=1384756364&sr=1-18&keywords=case+note+3
For now, those seem to be the top 3 with minimal weight and good quality protection. UAG will always still be one of the best. I had it on my Note 2 and it protected very well.
Another vote for UAG, good mesh between form and function
I have the supcase and its nice and slim, but I wouldn't say it's the best protection. Corners are not that big and they're firm. If you want something really protective you probably want something with thick rubber corners such as this:

Then, go with the UAG. It has a lift closer to otterbox than the rest. I know UAG was the biggest competitor against otterbox for the Note 2 and other phones. Up to you. I think it's the best case for protection personally.
I also recommend you get a tempered glass screen protector like the Spigen Glas.tr. I have it and it's wonderful. Really a flawless screen protector. No scratches or fingerprints or smudges so far after a month. http://www.amazon.com/Spigen-Samsun...i-Chip/dp/B00DD5TWXK/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top

I don't know which ones you're looking at. The glas.tr is .4mm and the glas.t is .26mm.
I like Otter because they have plugs for the USB and audio jacks. This is important if you spend time in dusty areas. A tight fitting case also helps here because dust can get between the case and your phone and it will mess up the finish!
If Otter releases the Armor for the Note 3 the choice for best protection would be obvious. I don't know if they plan on doing this or not. I would buy one because I'm a case junkie!
I use Case Mate Tough

I'd give another vote for the Nillkin case. It's pretty much perfect. Even though the top and bottom are technically exposed, it has rounded corner covers on both sides so if you drop it, it won't really matter.

New Brush Shockproof Hybrid Dual Layer Armor Case Cover for Huawei Ascend Mate 7

The Best Case Armor For Mate 7
I bought Two Best Cases For Mate 7 From Ali Express:-
1. HUAWEI MATE 7 neo hybrid hard slim armor case.
2. Dirt-resistant soft case Armor Shell.
I have to look at finding a decent case for my Mate7 also.
I don't like the S View case that came with the phone, it's awkward to use and looks horrible.
Just to be quick and get some protection, I purchased 2 cheap S Line covers off ebay, a black one and a translucent blue one. They fit really well and give good port access whilst being secure and grippy. They also don't bulk up what is already a very big phone. The black cover goes nicely with my gold Mate, the blue, not so well, it looks wrong but is handy for an emergency spare. I'm in no hurry for a nicer case now because the S Line works really well. I've found in general, with gel cases, the S Line is usually the best fit and quality. I've used them on 4 different handsets.
It looks like this.

I want to warn you before buying nillkin shield frosted in WHITE colour. After a while wearing jeans the corners of cover became dirty-blue :/. The black one is PERFECT
Privat life:
I bought the black nillkin frosted hardcase. Fine and easy handling and fitting. A little bit slippery as I think about by looking on pictures. But much lower slippery than without the case.
German amazon users: Look at german Amazon for "AceTech" cover case selling by Ace Tech and shipping by amazon.
Just delivered a original Nillkin black frosted Case within shipping by Amazon.
Very slim an quality case. The displaycover I do'nt use, like it the natural way
Been looking for a good quality very protective case for the phone (buying this soon) as most seem to be the very flimsy wallet style cases than offer no protection whatsoever.
Found these 2 so far:

Amazon (UK) : DWay Lenovo ZUK Z1 Armor Case Hybrid Design Detachable and Stand-up Feature Dual Layer Protective Shell Hard Back Case Cover for Lenovo ZUK Z1 5.5inches
Loads of colours, has the excellent Soft TPU + Hard PC = Dual Layer protection including the foam rubber at the corners which means if you drop it on it's corner it usually bounces a little and won't damage it. It also has a lip which will protect the screen if you drop it face down onto a flat surface, obviously dropping it on the corner of a table or similar surface will smash the screen but no case will protect against that. A lot of people don't like these cases because they bulk up a phone which should be "thin and stylish" but to be honest, I'd rather have a safe phone than worry about how it looks. I had a very similar case previously for my Nexus 4 and they are excellent at protecting your phone, I dropped the Nexus 4 a few times (sometimes while inebriated ) and it never got damaged at all in a very similar case to this.
On sale at the moment for £5.99 (Supposedly normally £19.99)
Ebay: AMZER DUAL LAYER RUGGED HYBRID WARRIOR KICKSTAND CASE FOR LENOVO ZUK Z1 - BLACK
Similar case on ebay, looks to have the same build type but next to no info and looks to be only available in black.
On sale for US $6.36 (Approximately £4.19)
They both have lockable kickstands if you like watching videos or listening to music on your phone, I've never really been big on doing so.
I think I'll be going with the first one and try to find a good tempered glass protector but I'm not fond of these as they usually make you lose a bit of functionality/responsiveness on the touch screen.
I had a look on Otterbox too (www.otterbox.co.uk) but there's nothing for this phone, it is quite a standard form factor though and is similar to the LG phones, namely the G4 (which has 2 Otterbox cases), I think the dimensions and button placement are very similar, has anyone tried a G4 case on this phone or another similar case?
That's the case I'm waiting on. Went for the all black. Got an imak to tide me over but it is rubbish. That case is ugly IMO but for protection it's the best out there. Got my glass screen protection today of Amazon. Not a bubble. Fits a bit short but the holes are spot on. I'm in uk too. No way is that £20 normally
---------- Post added at 08:28 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:26 PM ----------
Oh the screen protection is called HD from kingfishing and no loss of touch 5quid Amazon
That's the problem with these phones. The big players with stylish designed cases are not interested. Like you easy protection over looks. My motto too. Always had case and glass screen protection and never broken one yet, despite some big drops where the protection has cracked but not the screen.
I bought one of those cases from Ebay listed as "3D 2in1 Grenade Grip Skip-Proof Rugged Warrior Hard Case TPU Cover KickStand" from a seller called "easysales111" It only cost £2.99 but took a few weeks to turn up from China. It's OK, a bit fuggly but with a certain rugged charm. Not a rubbery as I would like but grippy enough to hold easily. £2.99 is about right.
I did have a very nice dark wood effect case that I got from a seller on Aliexpress - it looked lovely - well lovely until the finish rubbed off in my pocket - hence my choice of the rugged case.
today I got my level 5 performance series case from Incipio today.
Anyways so far I like the case a lot compared to my Otterbox Defender. The case is very durable but thinner and more sleek than the Defender. The holster is top notch and premium as well granted I never use the holsters with my cases but some might like it.
The built in screen protector also fits very tight to the screen too and the home button on the bottom of the protector has a plastic frame all around it but doesn't affect using the finger print scanner. It looks like less dust will get under this due to it being tighter and really no gaps near the home screen for dirt to get under.
The only downside to the built in protector like the Otterbox Defender it's not very clear. granted it is a lot more responsive than the Defender though and has no rainbow effect. Not impressed by the clarity but not really much out there right now to protect the screen.
Only other downside I see is the speaker volume is a little softer due to the protector covering it.
Overall I say this is a great case. However you might want to look at the Level 4 because Amazon has the white case for about 31 bucks if you want to use your own tempered glass and not have a built in protector because otherwise the level 4 is almost the same thickness as the level 5 but maybe with a bit less of a raised edge around the screen.

i wouldn't say a hard plastic but more of a soft, matte finish.
I really dig the case except the built in screen protector sucks just like the otterbox defenders does. This one might be worse but it is far more responsive and tight to the screen.
If there would have been good tempered glass protectors out there I would have simply bought the level 4 case which doesn't have the built in protector and is only 27 bucks now on amazon.
Just wanted to bump the thread. Got this case today and it is really good. The white and black are on sale for $25 at Walmart and Amazon. I agree that the screen protector is responsive but the clarity is horrible. I don't care as much about screen protection so I just popped the screen protector off the front cover - solves that problem. I can always add a screen protector directly to the screen later on. The feel of the case is very good in hand and is the best "protective" case I've tried for the S7, better than the Poetic and Supcase ones, at least.
I highly recommend this case especially at $25.

The other issue I don't like is the audio is muffled due to that section being covered. When using my Otterbox or Supcase the audio is a lot louder than the Incipio.
I saw Amazon knocked the price down. Otherwise I'd say order the level 4 protector from Amazon if you don't want the screen protector then. Still rated for 13ft drop (I never trust drop ratings) and is cheaper than level 5. On the level 4 the audio sounds louder too. I'm guessing because it doesn't have port covers or a screen protector more sound can escape through the case. I might just go back to my level 4 vs the Otterbox Defender since I keep getting dirt under the screen and go naked on teh screen.
