Hi All
I have taken delivery of my Korean import V10 today and overall I love it . Just a few things that I didn't realise and was wodnering if people could help me out.
I have selected the Language and Keyboard to be United Kingdom. This has changed the majority of the text on the phone but there are still some areas like the phone dallier where I have Korean characters.
Is it possible to change this in a setting I have not found yet?
Also when it comes to updating, will I have to get the Korean OTA file or can I just use the UK one ( would downloading the UK one break the phone)?
When it comes to be rooted, can I just flash a standard UK or international version of the software onto the phone to get rid of the language issue and also the stock Korean software?
All help and advice gratefully received .
Fozza

Hello XDA!
Just got my brand new Samsung GS3 just over a week ago and the first thing I see when I boot it up is the branded Telecom boot animation and I almost rage quit because I was never told that I was getting a branded model. I have flashed XXALE8 stock ROM and XXLE8 MODEM to get rid of the branded bloatware.
Now there's two questions I have:
1) I have heard rumours that the GT-I9300T has a preference for the 850mhz band over other bands, now assuming this is true, is this software based or hardware based?
2) Where can I find bootloaders for the GT-I9300? I want to change to a GT-I9300 bootloader, the current bootloader I have is I9300TDUALE6.
Information about the phone is found using play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.curvefish.apps.deviceinfo
Here's a screenshot if you need more info.

Bump
Hi,
I have an Atrix that I bought in China, it is a Korean device from what I can tell, branded Tworld (?)
Anyway, I am currently working in China and bought it here and it is unlocked and rooted. And it is running Froyo. I have wanted to at least update it to Gingerbread but the threads with the ROMs are not easy for non-experts and mostly seem designed for ATT models. I never checked for OTA update because I figured it is some kind of hybrid that is not supported by any carrier or anything. Just today I checked and it says there is an update, but I am not sure if it will upgrade to GB and if so, will I lose the root? I took some screenshots, that I hope can be displayed. Should I accept this update?
Hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance

You can check the beginner guide here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1154600
or check CM7 wiki here if you want a cm rom: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.com/wiki/Motorola_Atrix_4G:_Full_Update_Guide
SO here's the problem! CM7/Gingerbread cannot render Bangla/Tamil/Hindi and a handful of other languages. However, when Samsung released their smartphones they specifically compiled those two for their devices and that could render Bangla/Hindi/Tamil.
Let me explain clearly. The Tamil character "தி" is a conjunct of two characters and instead of getting displayed as "தி", it will be displayed as "த ி" without space in between. So we can't read anything on facebook/twitter. Only way is to use Opera Mini which everyone doesn't like.

The solution is simple in my mind. Just to take those libskia.so or libharfbuzz.so from any Samsung Specific firmware (Suppose Y Pro Duos: http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/1/?model=GT-B5512&pcode=INU#firmware) and compile them for our Atrix.
It can be done in my thought. As Krystian/Epinter/mmountouri already have done so much advanced work! However, if this problem is solved, it'll be a huge milestone for Asia specific countries because 50% of the majority still use Gingerbread. And if I get the support, I will need JB a bit less.

Hi! Please see Pic below for System Info.
So, my Samsung gt-s7562 won't connect to g3 in Movistar (Local daughter of Telefonica) Nicaragua, only EDGE.
Context: Phone is in factory status, identical phone bought in Germany has same problem. Other Phones, even older Samsungs work fine with HSDPA within Movistar Nicaragua. Phone has no other Problems (except bloatware which is why I'm open for flashing a ROM)
Questions: Is there a Chance by hyperX or should I try better unofficial cyanogenmod? Or should I go for another region's Firmware?
