What program are these widgets from? - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Anyone know what program these widgets are from?

I don't know, but I personally don't think they look that great. Just download a bunch of different widget apps from the Play Store, and start trying out different combinations. You'll find something.
I got these from 2 different apps.

Those look like HD Widgets from the play store.

[Q] Apps in the Market

I've looked all over for an answer to this, but I can't seem to come up with one. I've loaded Vegan 5.1 on my new GTablet and everything is working the way that I want it to. I've run into one problem... my tablet doesn't show all the apps in the market. The best example of this will be with "Stupid Zombies." If I search for that on my HTC Incredible, I get two results "Stupid Zombies" and "Stupid Zombies Adventurous." If I search for it on my Tablet, I only get the latter. I can search for Facebook and get "Facebook for Android" in the first three hits on my phone, but the tablet shows the list with that single app removed. Am I missing something? I've started going on a hunt for common apks that I have on my phone that I want on my Tablet, but I don't like that as the solution. Can someone assist?

Hi,
As the poster above mentioned search for "market fix" in these forums.
Actually, I thought that Vegan comes with some of the tweaks (fingerprint change) for market, but I think that the bottom line is that you'll find that (1) no one really knows what a "full market" would be (i.e., how would you know how many apps you don't see?) and (2) you probably, as far as I know, won't find one set of fixes that will allow you to see "all" of the apps in market, at the same time.
I've said it before in other threads, as far as I know, it's not 100% clear (technically) what criteria Google's market uses to determine what apps to show or not show, so without that knowledge, it's difficult to determine how to get around that.

Ah, I tried that before, but I couldn't find the google services framework. In retrospect, I think that I was trying to achieve it before logging in with my account. That got it all up and running. Thanks guys.
I've had a G tablet for a few months.... There are still certain apps that show up and pop away with the market fixes.
For instance, when I loaded my first rom, before I did the market fix, I could see WeatherBug and Wells Fargo Mobile in the market.....but hardly anything else. I loaded the two apps I just mentioned and then did the market fix. TONS of other apps showed up...ADW, Playon....all the normal stuff I'd expect to see....but No WF for WB.
I've tried 100 different ways to to them to show up, but no matter what Order I do things in....all the way from nvflash to reload and market fix, when I consider my market "fixed", just meaning that almost everything I search for is there, still no wells fargo or weatherbug.
The new Amazon app store helped with that alot. Now things that don't show up in the market, I can usually find on amazon apps.
The two programs I mentioned I've never been able to find in some of the newer ROMS...veganGB, the newest TNTs...

I'm on stock 3588, w the default fingerprint, no tweaks except for the regular market fix, and I see both Weather Bug and Wells Fargo.

Exactly this. A fresh install of Vegan 5.1.1 and my purchased apps is missing a few (namely mlb11, launcher pro). If I do the market fix I am able to see mlb11 and launcher pro but a couple of apps that were listed before are gone (WII Controller IME, Gravitron live background are examples)
I am able to backup the apk's with titanium backup on my phone and install on my tablet so far when I need to.

[Q] Theme/Invert Google Apps?

I have used my fair share of inverted/themed Google apps, such as the Play Music app or the Google+ app. I am wondering how I can theme the apps myself. Specifically, the new Google Play Music update that came out a few days ago. I want to change the widget from gray, to black. Like this...
Can any one help or guide me in the right direction? Tried changing the pictures in the Res folder, but when I try to install the apk, I get the parse error.

[Q] Random apps "incompatible" with the tablet

It seems by no merit random apps are "incompatible" with the tablet. Anyone know why? I have play store installed and I'm rooted, so I'm just gonna try to force install some. For example, Google Keep is incompatible. Or Google Now Launcher. Yelp, Wells Fargo, an app for my school, Weatherbug, all examples of things "incompatible".

Samsung, HTC, and yes, Amazon all have their "flavours" of android. Apps that run on one of these may not be entirely supported on others.
I cannot install Yelp or Google+ from the store but I have sideloaded them and they're fine. Try and find downloadable apks and install them to see if they'll work.
Download one mobile app the wells Fargo app from there works

Alright, just wanted to see if maybe Amazon actually removed core android pieces to intentionally break those types of apps or something.

[Q] Few questions from someone new to the Kindle..

Hello,
I just ordered the Fire HD 6 and am super stoked to get it. I had a few questions if someone familiar with it could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.
1. Can I install a different launcher on the new OS or did they lock it down so you can't do that anymore? I'd love to put Nova on it just to make it feel more comfortable for me.
2. Can I install google music and allow it to stream from the cloud on the device? I've read some tutorials online, but they all seem to be older so I don't know if the new updated OS has blocked some of these.
3. Is it tough to side load apps as far as apps causing issues when doing so? I'd mainly be looking to side load Google Play Music, Chrome, and possibly a few other small apps.
Any help would greatly be appreciated. I've searched all over the web for a site that has a forum for this particular tablet, and this seems to be the only valid one I could find.
Thank you
I can answer a few. When installing a launcher, it allows you to but when choosing set as default it never really gets set as default. It just keeps showing the choose launcher pop-up each time you press home.
Google Music works but you cannot log into your google account with it and streaming does not seem to work.
Sideloading apps is just as easy as any Android but many apps that use Google services will crash. Surprisingly Chrome does work on the hd6! At least Chrome beta. Did not try regular Chrome.

Thank you for your help, exactly what I was wanting to know.
I sideloaded Tasker and was able to set Themer to open up on unlock. It helps with not being able to set it as default.
Themer also lets you set wallpapers and custom icons. It's kinda buggy, but it gets the job done. Have Power Toggles in the Notifications to make up with not having the menu.

Google Play store looks different from phone

Heya! I noticed my google play store looks a bit different on my Tab S3 then on my Nexus 6p.
They both have the same version of the play store, Play Store version: 8.9.24-all
These are screenshots from both:
Nexus 6P: https://i.imgur.com/ComZ6ln.jpg
Tab S3: https://i.imgur.com/kS4Y3oa.png
Notice how the S3 doesn't have the downloads/ratings (though seems to have the section for it) and the top section looks different and is missing the wishlist button? (though wishlist is in the 3 dot menu in the upper right when clicked).
Everything else outside of an apps individual info page looks Exactly the same.
And it also only seems to be different for apps and games. Movies, music and books all look like the Nexus picture.
I'm enrolled in the Google Play Services Beta, which I would immediately attribute to this if the phone which is also enrolled had the same change. Do they do partial test rollouts to random users/devices like they do with chrome dev?
Anyone else able to corroborate this?
Well, I don't know. But my guess would be the app detects what hardware it is running on and adjusts the UI. Why the Play store would need to do this is beyond my comprehension. It certainly would make sense for games. Maybe the developers working on the Play store are trying things out to see how they work out?
