I did a factory reset / cache partition wipe and sold it to a guy, now he is telling me that the phone says it is locked to my previous Google Account that was used to sign in to the device so I changed my password temporarily and gave him my email/password but when he signs in, it says that he needs to sign in using one of the owners accounts used on this device! but this is the account, I don't have any other Gmail account since 2 years
I then googled this problem and I saw many people experiencing the same issue and the solution was to load the OS again, so I downloaded Lollipop 5.1.1 from Sammobile but when I try to flash it it gets stuck on SetupConnection
please help now the phone is stuck on the Downloading page and since I cannot remove the battery, I can't even do a battery pull anymore!!!
But now I still cannot flash, here is what Odin says:

I took it to the service center and they told me that I need to pay USD $40 to have them unlock it as this is not covered by warranty. I refused and took the phone back because they said that it would require 2 working days for it to be unlocked so I thought by that time the 72 hour time since I've changed my Google Account password would have lapsed by then. I am furious now!
I tried Odin 3.10.7 which was what Sammobile offered me to download after I have paid for the fast download service.
I don't know how to check anything in this phone at the moment since I cannot login even with the same email that was used before
Do note that when I tried to download the firmware from Sammobile, I ensured that I entered my exact same model which is G928C and United Arab Emirates
Hopeful fix for Ur S6 Edge
Hi, firstly I am so sorry to hear your going through the exact same problem that I had with my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. I purchased that device without realising it was never launched in my country. That was a huge mistake. Secondly it was running ICS and I wanted Jellybean or Lollipop, so I formatted it and downloaded the Jellybean version of another neighbouring country and it got bricked while trying to install using Odin, that was an even bigger mistake. Exactly like what has happened to you.
I couldn't take it to the Samsung service centres as this device was never released for my country and I knew they would charge me a bomb to fix it. I tried everything for almost 2 weeks. I hardly ate or slept. I was checking YouTube vids, reading through all the developer sites, met all the nerds and computer geeks I knew but with no luck I decided to take my phone and dig a grave for it along with the time and money I spent, but then I came to this site (sorry I don't remember the site name), where this guy had the exact same problem.
The solution was sooo very simple. Just do a factory reset when you boot into developer mode (if you cant boot into developer mode and if your device is completely bricked just charge the device to the max and install the OS i mention, it will unbrick your device and get you into the Samsung loop stage which also allows you to go into developer mode) and charge your phone till a 100%. Now go to SAMMOBILE and download the latest firmware, irrespective of the location, just make sure you download the latest one, am guessing it may still be a Lollipop and not a Marshmallow update. Try to download the Finish (as in Finland) firmware and install it using Odin. Thats it. You should be home through and finally that sign of relief will show up on your face once your S6 Edge boots back to life.
I personally hope that this solves it for you and I hope I am not too late. If you still have any other doubts before going ahead, here's my e-mail id: [email protected]. Honestly hope it works out, I know exactly what your going through. Good luck!
Joe

Hi all,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with a default ROM, rooted and with clockworkmod installed.
Yesterday night I let it charging and working fine. This morning was freezed on the startup screen, the one that says "Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-I93000" and was not possible to go over it. I checked for similar posts in the forum but no one had the same characteristics, all could go further the starting screen.
I tried the next:
- Normal restart: Nothing, same screen
- Take out the battery: Nothing, same screen
- Try to enter in recovery mode (power+home+vol up): Nothing, same screen
- Try to enter in download mode (power+home+vol down): Success, i'm download mode.
What can I do now? there is any chance to enter without re-installing rom and wiping the whole content?
Please, any help is welcome. I'm without mobile meanwhile
Thank you in advance
If the phone does not start in normal mode and recovery mode but it starts in download mode, try to flash a rom Samsung not wipe, if it fails to start still not done with the full wipe rom SAMSUNG

Hi, thank you for the fast answer.
I just found the original stock image that i had:
Country/Carrier: Poland (Play)
Date:2012 July
Android: 4.0.4
PDA:I9300XXBLFB
CSC:I9300PRTBLG1
I will turn the phone in download mode and I will connect with Odin.
Sorry about the newbie question: How I flash a new ROM on the phone without wiping all?
Best Regards
Hi,
I try to install flash again the stock ROM and I got this message in Odin.

I found another post with the same problem: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=30060308&postcount=23
I tried to restore a PIT file but is failing the whole time
At the end the user told that he brought it to a Samsung service and they changed the "charging regulator" and now the phone is working. :http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=31105754&postcount=34
I don't have any service shop here were I live
Any other idea that I could try?
Thank you in advance

Try to flash a ROM Samsung Jelly Bean (They Do Requires PDA only normally) and do not put anything in pit
Personally I no longer believe too
Yeah Im having the same problem...
apparently the chip that stores boot got non-functional data or something...missed-up in other words
anyhow...from several threads I looked up,,,,only 2 things can solve this , either Jtag repair the phone (check google) or service the phone, but if the flash counter shows in download mode they might not do it on warranty...
my phone has been in service for 3 days now, still didn't tell me if they'll service on warranty or not, luckily I used triangle reset before, everything shows as official samsung except custom rom.
Thank you for the replies.
Regarding bringing it to the service, I have another small issue. I got my mobile in PL. A friend wanted an internet contract there and with that contract the phone was really cheap, so I pay the phone and he kept the SIM....and I live in Germany
I will try to bring it to any shop, let's see what they tell me.
Another question now: I had an original stock ROM, but I just root it to be able to make full backups. They can realize about this entering just in download mode? Is normal that I see "Odin Mode" when I enter in download mode?
Thank you all

Download mode is already integrated in the smartphone by cons they may know that you have changed the phone because this flash counter in download mode they would have had to turn away a triangle reset the counter but hey it is not possible because you can not start the phone

In my situation, my S3 is in download mode but the computer can not see it through a com (up-to-date Odin and Kies can not see my GS3). What should I do?
Messing with PIT maybee ruined your phone.
If it s in warranty maybee they flash it for you. I´ve experienced that before with no problems but I know that it voyds the warranty flashing PIT and rooting.
Maybee you re lucky in the samsung service, in your position I was that way. Jtag is very risky and voyds warranty forever. If you pay in samsung for the boot repair you continue to have your warranty again and for the price of a Jtag intervention I would pay a bit more and continue having warranty.
S3 frozen on boot screen while rooting
Hello everyone,
I'm new around here and i apologize if posting in the wrong place....
I have a similar problem: I decided to root my S3 (UK unlocked) and followed one of many tutorials on YouTube (made by galaxys3root). Everything seemed to be easy and started well until at the point when the S3 must reboot. At that point the phone got stuck, and the only thing i can do is to go in downloading mode.
Odin gives me this

While the phone is stuck on the boot screen my PC (Win 7 Ultimate) does not recognize the device, while if the phone is in downloading mode, the PC has the driver for it.
I went through a few more topics on this forum which described something similar, tried a few of the suggestions made by others but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone has a solution for this or I should take the phone in service?
I would appreciate any advise!
I'm quite the beginner so if you could use a technical "friendly" language it would be great
Hi Everyone. So I took a nose dive into my first rooting experience and now I think I may have lost my phone. I'm not technically savvy enough to be screwing around with this stuff anyway so I should have stayed out but I'm hoping someone may be able to help me get my phone back. I don't care if everything is deleted.
I have a Verizon Galaxy S4 Sch-I545 which was updated to Android Version 4.3 I believe. Things went haywire when I applied the most recent update which I'm assuming was android 4.4. I'll explain what I did in hopes that someone might see where I went wrong.
I went into the Super User App and deleted root thinking if I'm going to apply the next update, I need to get rid of root. I did this and then started installing the new update.
After this, the phone was working fine but I decided I wanted to Flash the stock firmware to my phone and get back to square 1 in hopes I could speed things up and save battery life.
I followed the directions in a youtube video which i can't link because I'm a new member.
Now I'm stuck between 2 screens. I can still get into ODIN onto the downloading screen. The other screen says a problem was encountered and mentioned something about trying to restore via Kies.
This is what I get on ODIN if it helps:

Sounds like you are going to try the no wipe mj7 Odin file. If that doesn't work you are going to have to use the full wipe versions.

Look like you tried to odin stock MDK, it wouldn't work. You have to odin stock mj7 4.3 since your phone was on 4.3 MJ7, just download stock 4.3 MJ7 tar and odin it, you should be fine.

Yeah, MDK is the first software it shipped with. Its the one with the exploit that bypasses the bootloader. Its what we all want to flash but samsung made sure we could not go back.
You first had MJ7 which is 4.3, the update was not 4.4 (we wont get that for a while) it was a maintenance release for 4.3 called MK2. MJ7 may still work but if it does not you will need the MK2 file for odin

PIT related error bothers me .......
@aneeqkhan I know this thread is a bit dated now, but nobody has replied to you question either? I am trying to recover my friends Galaxy S6 Edge SM-G925I, his bricked after a failed standard OTA update. Flashing stock firmware worked for about 1 week then the whole thing crashed and is un-bootable. Attempting to flash the exact same firmware again in hopes that I could boot into recovery (recovery by button combination DOES NOT WORK!) so was hoping to just boot and factory reset (I was thinking that maybe a data corruption was the cause we didn't wipe his phone because he didn't back it up)...upon putting the device into download mode and flashing the exact same firmware package that worked the week before I get the same error that you are getting? Not only that but none of the claimed fixes online for these devices has worked!?
Note: This is a 100% stock device never had anything flashed to it before I got it and still hasn't had anything custom flashed to it either
I am more interested now if you managed to recover your S6 and if so how did you do it?
Pretty sure i bricked this to no repair.
So got my Sprint s6 edge few months ago and rooted it a week after. Sadly i dont know what i used rom wise to root it since its been a month+. Sadly i reformated pc awhile back so can't see the files i used.
Got bored and wanted to try and install xposed to add some new features to my phone. So just tried and i'm prety sure i bricked it hard...
what i followed
gs6.wonderhowto.com/how-to/install-xposed-framework-your-samsung-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-0163918/
It said make a recovery so i did by following
gs6.wonderhowto.com/how-to/install-custom-recovery-your-galaxy-s6-s6-edge-0161619/
I did what he did and after it asked for a reboot i rebooted and it got stuck on samsung boot logo saying "Recovery not SEANDROID Enforcing" in top left corner.
So i googled how to remove root and how to get past this screen and many suggested stock rom. I tried that and odin (v3.09) wont get past "Write NAND!"
I let it set for 20 minutes and nothing happened so i googled and everyone claimed trying different usb hubs and cables so i did that. I've tried every usb hub on my pc(8) and all 3 cables i had. So then tried different version v3.10.7 of odin and it fails with following
<OSM> Enter CS for MD5..
<OSM> Binary Check MD5.. Do not unplug the cable..
<OSM> Please wait..
<OSM> Checking MD5 finished Sucessfully..
<OSM> Leave CS..

And in top right under Odin mode it reads
Product Name: SM-G295P

FRP Lock: OFF
Secure Download: Enabled
Knox warranty void: 1 (0x0301)
RP SWREV: B:3 K:2 S:2
SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1
So now i'm just lost and scared at what to do. I googled "SW REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: 1" And my findings are just to use stock rom...but thats what i did in first place. So now i'm stuck with a phone that is continuously rebooting itself to the samsung boot logo....
G925PVPU1AOCF_G925PSPT1AOCF_G925PVPU1AOCF_HOME.tar.md5 is the rom im trying to flash with and i believe it is stock because got it off this forum from a post claiming it was the new stock updated rom.
Can someone please help? I can skype or teamspeak or ventrilo or just use this forum to help me but i'm beyond confused on what to do now...
edit- phone is continuously rebooting itself to the samsung boot logo...but i managed to make it stop by making phone sit in download mode...
edit2- i can not go into recovery or safe mode. All i can do is wtach my phone go to the boot logo "Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge" screen then to black screen back to boot screen. And i can put it into download mode.... Thats it...The brick is real...
edit 3- 40 views and not one help lol, seems i'll be craigslist shopping soon.
You tripped the Knox counter, that is for sure. Since you can enter download mode that means it is still possible to install the stock firmware. Did you use the correct firmware for your model?

forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-galaxy-s6-edge/general/sm-g925p-firmware-available-t3084414
Is the stock rom i used to try and fix that recovery screwup.
i tried G925PVPU3BOJ7_G925PSPT3BOJ7_G925PVPU3BOJ7_HOME.tar which is a 5.1.1 stock rom and still same results!!!
Try performing a log cat. That is a low skill technique of diagnosing problems in android during a boot loop.

I dont know how or what a log cat is.
Edit- just turned device back on and plugged itno computer and now blue screen saying An error occured while updating the device software. use emergency function in the smart switch pc software. Yet the smart switch software says unsupported device.
randomly got it to work after 2 hours of leaving it alone i can now start to install the stock firmware but it stops

my sister have a samsung S6 Edge (buy in the shop Tim in Italy), but suddenly it does not start regularly (infinity bootloop)
it is possible to resurrect it?
My test: (I'm a stubborn girl)
-the battery ok recharge
-recovery- reset factory ok, but not solves!
-can be accessed to Odin mode download, ok
-I could not know the original firmware, then a stroke of genius :victory::silly:...
I have flash the latest firmware available in samMobile[ for samsung edge s6 SM-G925F, firmware ITV (no brand..) android 7]
I used Odin 3, the procedure is successful

someone has some advice for me, before I launch the device from the balcony?

no help for me?
:crying:
Are you disconnecting the phone or waiting for it to completely finish? Maybe clean out the charge port?
I am not by any means able to correct the issue, but i've never seen a successful odin operation where the device is removed and then completed.
Good news is that it can still go into download mode. So it should not be too difficult to correct. I am assuming you're using latest Odin with the original usb cable and have tried with different ports.
Sometimes it may need a slightly older version of odin to work. You may even have to download the firmware again. Or take it to where you bought it...
But... DO NOT LAUNCH IT!

I suggest download the latest firmware for your phone try flashing it still don't work then try getting the pit file too and firmware and try both?
Since I screwed my s6 edge up as it was not mounting system and cache so I had to get latest firmware, pit file and then in odin tick re-partition and flash then it worked just went into recovery wiped cache and factory reset reboot and done

I disconnecting the phone after Odin> PASS (disconnecting usb)
The usb port is clean (spray contact)
I don't use other port usb and other cable usb, because the Odin procedure it is successful (PASS)
After PASS I disconnect usb, the Phone rebot - it appears android robot- erasing- logo edge -logo samsung,
but nothing done (I waited a long time)
Odin is 3.13.1 (I believe latest version), I have not tried other old versions because the procedure is Ok (Pass)
I worked on this cell phone I believe 30 hours...
I'm a stubborn girl, I do not accept not to recover the phone..
I do not launch it, but the temptation is there
thanks for help
:good:

I'm trying with last firmware for edge (italy- ITV-nogaut7)
it was the first one I tried. and now is impossible using old firmware, cs.bin file no Pass in Odin...
Pit file i read is not necessary for stock firmware, but yesterday I also tried with Pit file (Zerolte eur open hidden60M)
the Odin procedure Pass, but after the phone not installing system ( but maybe I did not reset factory and cache..)
when it is in bootloop, enter in recovery is not easy, and when I go into recovery..I have to be quick to select otherwise the phone hangs...(even with twrp sometimes it crashes)
I do not understand if it's because the phone bootloop, or is the problem hardware (memory flash)
thank s
