My dad own's this phone and he needs call recording.
After I flashed RR a month ago and installed Automatic Call Recorder, he can't hear the person who he talked too while he listens to the recording(sometimes the person is slightly audible).
I've tried all the well rated call recorders on the play store and those of which on xda but still no luck.
Any idea how to solve this?
ROM: Resurrection Remix 5.5.9 r26
Kernel: Stock RR
No mods or tweaks. Greenify in root mode.
Have you tried using Xpoed Installer with the gravity box module? This module basically has many functions.

See I use Gravity box on my phone(Moto G2) and there is no feature like that.
And I wouldn't flash xposed for my dad's phone because I want to keep it pure and plus Xposed runs every time you start the module (obviously it's a custom rom).
I want some way of fixing the issue mentioned.

Hello.
I am using an XT910 on a 4.1.2 China kernel version which allows me to record calls (I need that as I am often driving and cannot stop to take notes yet I need vocal notes for figures, numbers, details... hence my need to be able to record calls at will... my counterpart is aware of that
I am using an app called "Sanity" and it works quite well.
I have another XT910 MAXX on a 4.1.2 JB Europe that instead does not allow call recordings and the kernel is locked so it cannot be changed.
I was trying to override this issue by using Boot Menu Manager (BMM) and installing a JBX kernel on another ROM (not the stock one) like SlimKAT, Paranoid and so on in the 4.4.2 release.
Yet neither Sanity nor any other call recorder app that I found is able to properly record a call: what I hear is either an empty file or only "white noise".
I tried downloading and installing a JBX module called "call recording" but it appears to be designed and appliable only on Samsung Galaxy S4 and/or only on Samsung designed ROMs.
So, in the end, my questions is:
Is anyone aware of any working trick or configuration to record calls with JBX kernels or some other way?
Please only tested solutions, no advice like one app or another since I already tested a bunch with no result.
Thanks a lot.
Hey all.
I have a Stock Verizon Galaxy S4 on 4.4.2 (NC5), rooted. I want to customize some simple (minor annoyance) things on my phone.
Using a custom ROM is not an option for me (unfortunately), but using the Xposed Framework let me get around that (mostly). I had been using Nottach Xposed and it covered pretty much every one of my needs (I use my headphone jack in the car, so I hate the "safe listening volume" popup; I don't need to be notified how airplane mode works every time; I want to tag every app as being a possible "multi-window" app, etc).
With 4.4.2, Nottach Xposed doesn't work, and when I went looking for updates I found the long Nottach saga and have since despaired of ever getting an update for that (plus, it was technically for the AT&T phone).
Is there something else that will give me similar functionality? Again, I can't safestrap into a custom ROM; I have to be on (Verizon) "stock".
Thanks in advance
You might give wanam Xposed a try, I've used both and I am currently running wanam on my 4.4.2 rom.
Sooooo, I went back to Jasmine Rom, and activated the internal call recording function, which has proven to be helpful(crazy ex wife, not "murder" crazy, just likes conflict) I don't know if any of the current AOSP ROM offers this, but I've been reading a lot of "after my Nexus 5 updated to lollipop, this app to record doesn't work anymore" Does anyone else have any similar needs, and has found something that works for them?? Thanks in advance for any and all help
Took the plunge today anyways, now running AOSPA 5.0. Still looking to see if anyone has a solid app for recording calls in lollipop.

I've found a few, but none promise auto-recording, for free, like we had with G3 TweaksBox.
xposed for 5.0 is out now. Its in it's infancy but there is a module for call recording which might be working. not sure if it's auto-call recording and may require you to hit record each time but should replace add-call button with record button during a call.

I have Xposed installed, but I couldn't find the module. Can you provide a link? I just installed the CallRecorder app found here, and used the Standard API method, which seems to work okay. A lot of the trial/paid apps sounded like pure garbage on the G3.
Not a free app but there's a trial version available (10 days of usage iirc). Here's the link https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.skvalex.callrecorder. I have device set as LG G2 (vzw) and recording method set to CAF. I'm running Blisspop and alternate between stock kernel and the 777 R6 kernel. Worked great until I either changed kernels or tried recording in mp3 format. Will report back after a few more calls lol.

This is the one I'm using, but I can't seem to get it to record automatically using CAF or other methods. Standard API works fine though.

First one doesn't work. I'll have to try the second one--but it says it is specific to Samsung ROMs... hmmm
Thanks for the suggestions, and I was looking for a button to record, not auto, only need it for the ex. I will give a few of these a try, as I've returned to a nandroid of jasmine I had. Got 4 other different versions of lollipop to try tho....
I tried getting Viper audio working today and pretty much hosed my Google Music. I have been running ressurection ROM for a while now which uses AudioFX and I grew tired of the lack of audio options. Also every time I reboot or even just randomly during the day my network drops and I have to choose another APN (although it never actually changes it just prompts the LTE to reconnect) which is super annoying.
So I read up on it flashed some IPS changed some settings and now Google won't play music which is my primary music player.
Any chance you guys can tell me which lolli based ROMs (without the LG skin) either are cooked with or have worked with Viper & Google music?
I've used the lolliviper.zip file located below many many times on AOSP based ROM's (including CM12.1) and never had an issue with it, aside from sometimes needing to download the selinux mode app to change selinux to permissive (although the OP now says if superSU is used then you don't need a full permissive kernel). Either way, it should work on all LP based ROM's including RR.

Thanks. I did try with superSU first, then Busybox/selinux method, guessing there's just a menagerie of issues. I'm going to try Orion (did see it when I was searching around specifically for Viper before). Ty for replying

You can try Audio Compatibility Patch. It has worked for me on other devices, and the Dev just updated Samsung support two days ago. I'm about to give it a try myself. I have the same problem. Viper doesn't process audio from my browser. I believe it's a deep buffer issue. Only my system apps get processed. It should work without magisk too. Definitely read the post before flashing it. I've honestly never had an issue using it in the past though.
Correction, will not work without magisk! I can't get it flash using SuperSU for root. If you have magisk, I would definitely give it shot. I'm going to look into swapping my superuser so I can test it.
And there is a another mic problem in whats app only on AOSP based roms

I hope to clear everything here and thakyou for your response.

My mistake. I read AOSP, and for some reason thought stock touchwiz. I did some searching around, and it might be related to Ok Google. I found many reports saying that turning it off fixes the robotic voice. This might be a good place to start looking.
