Droid DNA acting like internal memory is read-only. - HTC Droid DNA

Droid DNA 16GB:
Stock ROM (4.4.2)
Kernel 3.4.10-g6a3a21b, [email protected] #1, SMP PREEMPT
S-OFF and rooted via Weaksauce, Firewater.
Issue is phone appears have internal storage marked as read-only, and/or is corrupted. Most everything works, but nothing gets saved in storage, can't overwrite anything, can't factory reset the phone either. After some time of use (0-30 minutes), phone will reboot due to some error, and revert back to how it was on 11/11/15. I am able to connect with ADB and have run a mount command, please see attached pic.
From Bootloader I get:
*** UNLOCKED ***
MONARUDO PVT SHIP S-OFF RH
CID-VZW_001
HBOOT-1.57.0000
RADIO-1.02.01.0207
OpenDSP-v12.120.274.0909
eMMC-boot 2048MB

Thanks for your help in advance.

Did you happen to turn the storage encryption on in settings?

No, encryption not an issue.

Thanks for your response! I'll give it a go later and report back.

No luck, the commands appeared to run, phone is still the same.
Thanks, any other ideas?

If you followed everything correctly and you havent obtained root.......................................its because you are on hboot 1.50
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1159354
I used that one and even tried a different one called the perma-temp-root or whatever. Neither worked. So does that mean I have to look into this hboot 1.5?

The only way to root hboot 1.5 atm is using the HTC unlock method

How can I know for sure that I have the hboot 1.5?
Pull the battery, when turning the phone on press vol. Down and power it will boot into the bootloader. At the top of the screen it will show the hboot version.
Has anyone used the HTC super tool v2?

[Q] HTC evo v 4g system formatted by mistake

hello,
I have rooted my phone and was working fine untill i by mistake formatted system from. Now nothing is working except a hTC white screen flashes when i switch on the device. Even using volume down key+power on button the bootloader opens. But when clicking recovery or factory reset button, the device stops at white screen showing hTC screen.
I am afraid whether it is bricked or what?
The screen shows:

Issue : Phone gets stuck on HTC logo.
Things I have tried after searching throughout the forum and finally giving up
1. Downloaded RUU (RUU_SHOOTER_U_ICS_35_S_hTC_Asia_WWE_3.28.707.1_Radio_11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06_M_release_264110_signed) and got error 155.
Currently downloading RUU_SHOOTER_U_ICS_35_S_HTC_Europe_3.28.401.1_Radio_11.77.3504.00U_11.25.3504.06_M_release_262714_signed.zip
2. Took the ROM.zip from the RUU from the temp location while it was running, renamed it to PG86IMG.zip and pasted that on the SD card and went into bootloader. The file loaded but I never got the 'update' option as many claim to get to fix the phone to bring it back to the stock ROM condition
3. I might have caused this error by trying to install LeeDrOiD 3D V5.4 ROM to get the HBOOT downgraded but I am not sure. All I was doing was following instructions from the HOW TO guide put up here.
Now, I have tried everything I could and I am hopeless and clueless.
Please help.

Your phone is okay. The ruu won't run unless you have stock recovery and I believe you need to be locked or relocated but not sure. Also it sounds like you are using the wrong file if the pg86img file loads but does not run. Maybe the phone is not the European version.

I have changed the CID.. from HTC__038 to HTC__001
c:\Android>fastboot oem readcid

(bootloader) cid: HTC__001
OKAY [ 0.006s]
finished. total time: 0.007s
I have tried the two RUUs mentioned in my first post, but I get this error: error: CID incorrect! Update Fail!
There is stock recovery in place.
Any idea what next to do?

Normally the *** Security Warning *** means you dont have a stock recovery. Have you gone into recovery to verify you are using a stock recovery?

Okay. There seems to be no recovery at all. The phone is soft bricked with HTC logo in white and 4 exclamatory triangles on the corners.
The CID is still HTC__001
the main ver seems to be 3.28.720.1
Well. Anyone? Still stuck

I checked that. Is there anything as such for GSM?
Thanks.

Omg thanks a lot I didn't realize I had to be on stock recovery to flash a zip. I'm going to reflash recovery now and try that again. I had the same problem of it just checking and not actually opening it.

Recovery

I think i've broke my phone today, i tried to root my HTC Desire 601 and did the following:
- Unlock the bootloader
- Install TWRP
- And tried to install the supersu zip, but got some errors, so the last thing I did was use the wipe option from TWRP (I think that was what i did, but not actually sure). And rebooted.
After that, the only think that it shows is the HTC screen. I can still boot in HBoot. I really appreciate any help.

Which TWRP did you use? Your hboot and TWRP versions match the KitKat OTA so you need to make sure you are using the OTA compatible version which can be found here, the version on TWRP's site is for devices untouched by the OTA.

All you need to root is flash a custom recovery via fastboot and then flash su.
You would then and only then try running firewater.
