My phone fell down from a wardrobe and the display on the inside broke. The glass is still fine but the display in the back broke.... didn't even know that was possible. What are my options?

You might need a new digitizer or inverter but instead of trying to attach one its easier to buy a screen digitizer combo. The one I got came with the tools needed to do the job

$60 CAD for the cheapest one I could find on ebay. Would any other Moto E 2015 model's parts work or am I forced to go with XT1528 specific parts.
Edit: I was wrong, it is over 80$ CAD. I think I'd rather buy a new phone.

If it's cheaper to buy a new one that might be the best bet. I'm not sure of cross compatibility with the different versions of this phone, I wish you luck regardless

Ask at a Staples store. I saw a sign at one a few days ago about fixing those. Lots of people do that.

My digitizer broke a while ago and now that I got a job I was looking to buy a new one, but I can't spend a lot of money on it, yet I have the feeling the ones I'm seeing on ebay for $30 will be pretty cheap and will break easily. Does anyone know how much an official digitizer, or at least a good OEM one is selling for nowadays? A friend of mine is going to the US next month so I will ask her to buy me one there as it will be much more cheaper than buying one on my country. I'm looking to spend less than 100 dollars on it, I wouldn't be able to afford anything more than that.
Thanks!
I've heard there are some quite reputable sellers on Amazon. You should be able to get a decent one for $30-$40. Plus, Amazon has a free shipping option for orders of $25 or more (at least in the US).
I bought a cheap one of ebay from China or Hong kong and its been fine for over 6 months

Buy one new with a frame (not just the glass). I've done a few. Also, follow a guide that also removes the LCD. Do not fall pray to trying to thread the digitizer ribbon through the whole as you risk ripping it. Figure up to $40 is normal. I had new last week where the new digitizer was no good, so be prepared to do the work more than once and take your time.

I got one on Amazon 33.00 it didn't work after 3 it works great only played for 1 and they refunded me on the one I have installed now and working they honor the Warranty the ribbons are not genuine tear easy have to be very careful.and remove the LCD makes it easy to prevent damage to digitizer ribbon.

Can you tell me which one you bought? I need to buy one and I want to be sure to buy one that will work.
I have found that it can be hit or miss and have had both good and bad product from the same supplier. They are all untested digitizers.

I'm based in India, and the seller was "India" based on the ebay address, but when I got the product, it was shipped from HongKong. I can send the details of the supplier who had send the digitizer to me. I do not know about the authenticity of this HongKong Based supplier though!!
And as said above, it can be a hit or miss from the same supplier too.
i just installed a new digitizer on my atrix, it is a little hesitant at times but it works great. got it on ebay from a seller in New Orleans. I can dig up seller store info if ya want!
My phone was knocked off of my coffee table by the family poodle this morning... Really, the phone looks alright, only the bezel cracked (on the outside that is), however, 75% of my screen is now completely useless and won't respond to any touch... On the bright side, Square Trade is actually sending me a brand new one, but, for the next few days i'll be without a phone and that won't really work for me... So, is there any way to get my text forwarded to my tablet without setting anything up on my phone itself? Because it's impossible for me to get in and set any apps up. Or, do you guys know of any retail stores that sell micro sim to standard sim adapters so i can use one of my old phones?
Sorry to hear that, but here you go...

Google's a hell of a thing.
Any att cor store can also provide you with a regular sim and activate to use with an old device free of charge.

25 bucks, not bad at all though when the warranty was only 99 bucks! Saving me about 136 bucks over my 2 year contract and not having to pay that god awful $200 deductible AT&T charges too. Plus, with our phone being so "rare" they're actually buying a brand new one and sending it to me! :good:

As the tittle says it, I broke my front glass. Everything else is fully operational. I have the asurion insurance. Does it cost the same to say I lost the phone as it does to send it in and have them give me a new one? I'm thinking if I tell them I lost it, I can sell mine on eBay as bad ESN, cracked glass and recoup my claim costs. Anyone have any input or experience with this?

You can give them a call and see if there is a deductible that you must pay. If it's an obscene amount of money, you can just replace the front glass. I did my father's S3 and it costed $9 in parts.

You should check out ny mobile parts. I've heard they are priced well for parts and they get parts directly from Samsung
The deductible with Asurion is $99. I know this, because I cracked the screen on mine this past Friday and the replacement is due on Monday.
I wonder, are they sending me a refurbished model or a new S4?
refurbished

I wonder just what refurbished is??? Sometimes they can't find the prob in tech and you have to send the phone back for a new (refurbished) one..
To replace the gorilla glass 3 it will run you $300 + / -
Just use Asurion, they will charge u $99
Phoneclaim.com is fastest and easiest way to start claim process.
Best wishes

Yes. they includes a prepaid shipping label. just mailed it back in the same box it came. my phone was totally messed up so i didnt care. when you call them they ask what happened and if you still have the phone in your possession, not sure what they say/make you do if you say you no longer have the phone. If you tell them you still have it, they will require you to send the old one back

I had asurion insurance also. Broke my droid x, paid 100 dollars, got a new one in 3 days. I had to mail the old one. My understanding is that if you report it stolen or lost and can't turn it in, the phone's serial number etc are all invalidated so there's no way to connect to a service. Basically rendering the device a wifi only device.
Hence when buying from ebay or craigslist a "used" phone, you need to make sure you can actually get service on it.

Yes, but that would be perfect for what he wants to do.
Sell it on eBay as a bad ESN, basically a "parts" phone.
With much difficulty given the state of the cracked screen, I finally FDR'd my broken S4 in the recovery menu. Is there anything else I should do to ensure old data won't be recovered, or can I leave it with the the data wipe/factory reset?
I'm surspised they sent me a brand new phone in box with all new accessories. Weird thing is a few days later I turn on the broken s4 to recover some files and I out it on WiFi only to upload to drop box and a few minutes later it just bricked itself. I booted into recovery and wiped, it still won't boot up. I'm gonna try Odin later

Mayne they have a way to brick phones remotely now? I know it sounds weird but I wouldn't put it past them
Long story short: I have a nice EVO LTE that is missing the back-top cover. I would just slap a case on it and be jolly, but this cover apparently has antennas in it.
When searching for a replacement on eBay, I found that the prices were either ~$20 OR they were ~$100!! What gives?
http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trk...&_nkw=evo+4g+lte+top+cover&_sacat=0&_from=R40
Sooo....does anyone have experience with buying new back covers? Why would the price be so insanely different for the same thing? Anything I should stay away from?
Thanks!
PS - I realize this is a question but it seems more fitting here. Feel free to chase me out with pitchforks and torches.
U can try aliexpress.com and ask the seller for antenna behind the top cover...
Be sure u have the right product and supplier. Just to be sure cuz its from china...
Fyi the price is right...
Sent from my EVO using Tapatalk 2
Do you still get a signal without the cover? Just curious.
You could always keep your eye on eBay for one that has a heavily damaged screen.
Also, did you try calling HTC to see if they sell it as a replacement part?
The antenna under the cover is for nfc

Seems that he doesn't need it anymore, but I do! So badly!
The only problem is that I live in Mexico.
If only you could send it by normal postal service...

Thanks!

I copped the phone on launch day. They had zero accessories; ordered the type-C Bullets, 30 mins after I purchased the phone. Got them this past Tuesday.
Nope, if you go to the right store, you might find one official case that's over priced.
Ugh... I regret not ordering them when I got the phone. I figured if I'd want them, I just could go snag a pair at Tmobile. Well damn.

They sound very similar to the og bullets. For $20 plus shipping, they are excellent and they have decent sound quality.
T-Mobile prices them exactly the same as OP website....
After shipping $ handling

No they're not the puregear tgsp is 40 bucks by itself at t mobile when it's only 20.95 for the official from OnePlus.
I got it Free along with the Phone on the launch day from the store. Question is, do the USB-C bullets work even with the Oneplus 6 through the USB C-port?
What's so great about these buds? From the look of it, the cable is thin and probably won't last a few months.

If you want to go Truly Wireless within budget, Samsung Galaxy buds is a nice option, even if you don't own a Samsung phone.
