Tried to flash TWRP - phone bricked :( - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I was trying to install Resurrection Remix (coming from NeatROm). Originally had TWRP recovery, but NeatROM left me with PHILZ recovery. I then installed CWM, and after some googling, found that TWRP is recommended over CWM. So I flashed TWRP recovery, and now my phone won't boot (stuck on boot logo), and I can't access recovery mode, only download mode. Drats!!!
If anyone can help me, I'd really appreciate it!!!!!
Thanks!!

Unfortunately, my PC or ODIN won't recognize my S2 When I plug it in (in Download Mode), it says USB device not recognized. I've tried downloading drivers, different USB cables and different computers. Drats.... Any suggestions?

1. Put it in Download mode
2. Plug in to your PC
3. Take out the battery (you can put the battery back when odin recognized it)
try this

[Q] Bricked my Samsung Galaxy S3

Ugh, totally my fault for not thinking this through.
Had downloaded the Paranoid Android ROM, a newer version from what I had, as I had installed it incorrectly.
So I thought, no worries, I'll just reinstall the ROM.
Booted into recovery mode, did a full wipe and then tried to install the new rom, only I couldn't find it anywhere...
Thinking I'll restart the phone and figure it out from there, but of course it doesn't go past the loading screen.
I can boot into download mode, but on my PC if I boot Odin, it doesn't recognize the phone and I get no yellow colour.
Pretty sure my internal SD card still has one or two custom roms on it, but without booting into recovery mode, I can't do much.
Odin doesn't recognize my phone. I installed the drivers from the samsung website, but it is not reading the phone in download mode.
Now I am unsure if there's another driver I need to install, i.e. a USB driver, seeing as this is a brand new pc, but other than that, I'm stuck.
Any ideas are greatly appreciated!
Download galaxy s3 toolkit from original android development section, install it and agree when asked to install drivers , reboot Pc and cross fingers for your Pc to detect your phone in download mode then just flash stock ROM
Sent from the grey stuff inside my skull
If you have a custom recovery (CWM or TWRP), you can use an OTG cable to connect a USB stick to your phone (which will be discovered by CWM, haven't tried TWRP) and install a new ROM with gapps from it...
Of course if you want to install stock, you have to stick with Odin.
Hope it helps

Are you sure you have the Samsung drivers installed?
Else ODIN won't detect your phone.
Try to install drivers or try another USB cable, another port, another Odin version

Stuck in CWM

Good night
Well, this morning I tried to make a backup of my rom using the rom manager. It failed and I got stuck in the CWM. I've already tried flashing other roms (transwin and bionic monkey) and wipe cache, data, etc. Right now, I'm trying to flash CWM using odin, but it can't recognize my device. I've already trying unnistalling/reinstalling KIES and Samsung drivers, but it always shows that error code: 10 (even in another computer).
So... anyone have any ideas? I think I should try to make odin recognize my device, but I don't know what to do anymore...
delete kies from system and try to connect device in Download mode wait for Odin to install drivers and recognized by it or try different port or cable

Thanks for your attention. I did it all again, but I think the problem was that I was using the recovery to enter in download mode. When I tried to enter without it I managed to get out of recovery, but now I can't make KIES recognize my device to get back to stock and the Bionic Monkey rom is bugged ("Android.process.acore has stopped" every 3 seconds). I saw the topic with some stocks, but I can't find one for my country (Brazil) and IDK if I can just flash any rom... I'm going to try the TransK rom, I wanted to test it anyway.
Thanks again ^^

If download mode works , then the problem is the usb cable or the samsung driver on the PC , here is the lastest driver , If ODIN 3.10.7 detects the device try to flash TWRP-3.0.2-0 TAR as AP , if it worked reboot in recovery and the rest is up to you witch rom you gonna flash , note this is for custom roms only like CyanogenMod
Thank mate Installed TWRP and CM13, everyhing works well Changed USB cable and managed to get phone detected, quality USB cable makes difference.

Hi, I have a similar situation, no power, no charge, no download mode, I even connect the USB jig and nothing. Everything happened when trying to restore boot with CWM. After reboot the phone went to hard brick state

Well the battery is discharged , that's why it doesn't boot , There must be something wrong or with the charger or with the usb cable , most of the time is the cable , after you manage to boot , try to flash TWRP instead CWM

Thanks for your prompt reply.
I tested the cable and charger in other phones and they work fine. In the other hand the S3 was at 30% by the time I restarted it and never came back to life. Also when I connect it to the PC there is no sign of the S3 on the device manager.

All ODIN fail

HI there guys. Hope you are doing fine. My device is giving an weird error when I tired to do either wipe/factory reset or flash new ROM in TWRP Recovery. Also I can't install Stock Recovery with ODIN which always results in a FAIL message. The error I get in TWRP is attached below for your reference.
Thank you so much in advance.
You use download mode to flash stock firmware etc, not recovery mode. If the phone doesn't respond to odin while in download mode then try another USB cable, preferably the original that came with the phone.

Hi there. I'm sorry that you misunderstood my statement. I'm aware about the usage of download mode with ODIN. It's just that I can't get it to work anyhow. Gives me FAIL message as the in the error message attached below. They TWRP recovery currently installed which was working fine when I last used this device months ago can't even mount the system partitions to do any kind of operations as in the pic of post#1. Can you help me with that?
Try a different usb cable and usb port.
