I have read several thread that rooting without unlocking bootloader will void the bootloader. I'm planning to use king root or sth like that until my warranty ends before I flash recovery. It's a Sony Xperia z5 premium dual btw
you may wanna check the thread for the z5 and ask questions there. for sure a lot could answer your question for your device

Hello,
I would like to know if it is possible to unlock(sim lock) xperia x10i to install unoffical rom(form this forum)?
Tnx.
I believe this is the wrong place for this topic... it should be in Q&A section I think.
Definitely not the good forum. Also, your question is pretty weird : sim lock has NO link ever with installing custom roms. If you were a bit curious, you would see you've posted in a forum with LOTS of custom roms, so it *might* mean you can set up custom rom...
1) How did he post here if he has less than 10 posts?!?!?!
2) He probably meant rooting, or got confused with all this mess about bootloader, or comes from another device. Use SuperOneClick v1.6.3
To root on my Xperia S, 0.67 firmware, only with unlock bootloader?
Is there any method to do just the root, without unlocking the bootloader?
Thanks for your attention.
No it isn't. You must to have unlock bootloader
Ban the OP please......

I have an Asus Infinity tablet. I rooted as soon as I could, but kept it locked fur a while because of warranty issues. Finally, I bit the bullet and unlocked because I wanted to play with ROM's. I haven't had any problems, and I'll unlock my p769 as soon as available to.

Hi, I was thinking of buying the HTC ONE MaXX and I have some questions about it.
1) I know that rooting voids warrenty, but after unRooting is the warrenty back again ?
2) What does the following terms mean :
A)bootloader?
B)S/off?
C)Lock, relock, unlock?
3) Is it easy to root?
4) Will the fingerprints sensor keep working after I root it?
Thanks in advance
Recommend closing this and your other thread for asking the same questions that are all answered already.
Just in case someone didnt see this because it wasnt posted in the actual forum:
http://www.xda-developers.com/xda-e...hich-blows-irreversibly-on-bootloader-unlock/
not relevant
unlocking the bootloader doesnt void warranty
and everyone has seen this nonsense, plus its already been posted
