Yes ota fails if ur have any modified software you can use odin or smart switch emergency recovery to restore stock and take the ota when it comes out thats what im going to do when 6.0.1 drops then ill have newest bootloader and modem then move to custom software after that.

If you root or install custom recovery u could try to re install stock recovey and unroot might work but if u modified the software then likly not.

Quickest way to unroot

basically, my phone won't boot up normally. instead I have to enter recovery and flash a rom.
On TeamCooper Omega romv2 and wondering what was quicket way to get to unrooted status so I can get it compared? I was thinking Cm7, to stock Gingerbread and then unroot?
reflash stock rom. to make sure, reset to factory setting.
reflash stock rom with odin
if thats what u mean
and i think its unroot.zip file in sticky guide in development section
If your motive for unrooting is to get your phone to service centre, you also should flash stock recovery -- also available somewhere in development section.
unroot.zip does not seem to work for me am i mising something?

Flashing the stock firmware will also remove any root access on your phone.

No, I meant flashing stock using ODIN. You don't need to have recovery or a custom rom, just access to download mode.
If you flash stock rom with odin, your mobile will be back to the state it was when you bought it... no root access and no custom recovery

Is it possible. ...

Is it possible to get rid of Twrp? I want to go back to stock bootloader, to check if
I blew the knox.
Best way is to flash stock ROM. Or you can flash stock recovery - you can find how to do it here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2426988
thanks man

I belive that is excatly what you do just reverse what you did the first time rather than flashing TWRP over stock you flash stock over TWRP

Revert to Stock Rom using TWRP?

So I have a Galaxy S3 i747(at&t) rooted and with an unlocked bootloader. Currently running Cyanogenmod with TWRP recovery.
I'm trying to downgrade back to Touchwiz for the purposes of using an unlock code that AT&T provided me with (apparently it doesn't work with AOSP roms). Any chance I could safely use TWRP to flash the stock rom, and then use TWRP to flash Cyanogenmod back right after?
I've read from here and there that flashing the stock room with an unlocked bootloader and/or flashing the stock room NOT using Odin could brick the phone, etc etc.
Sorry if this question has been answered quite a few times, I've seen quite a few different answers regarding this floating around.
Cheers
You must flash stock ROM via Odin
After root again and flash custom recovery

Guess there is no way to NOT use Odin :/
Do I have to relock the bootloader/unroot the phone before I flash with Odin? Also, will it put the phone back to Stock Recovery or can I keep TWRP?
And one last thing before I go through with this...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2388065
Is this^ a possible way to go back to stock without going through Odin and losing everything? (Remember, I'm just trying to get to a TW based rom so I can use the unlock code). And if so, can I just flash that rom with TWRP?
I dont think that would be possible. ...u have to use odin
Try and backup your data before u do ..if it helps
Your phone may end up in bootloop if u try with twrp

Via TWRP you are able to flash backup of stock ROM. If you have it
Odesláno pomocí Ťama Ťunga

HI,
I have a redmi5+ rooted. I use luckypatcher (i applied some patchs to some apps) and i have installed once BusyBox (didn't do anything in special).
I want to know if it is secure to flash the full update?
How do I confirm if the system files and vendor are ok to proceed?
I Will follow this tutorial: youtube.com/watch?v=oUUzxYHV_ac

Hi, I'm very newbie at rooting... But I managed to root my phone months ago and now there is this update (V10.2.1.0) that I cannot do because it's rooted...
I still have the original rom but rooted, and I don't want to flash anything since I have all my data, configuration and all this stuff :/
Is it possible to simply update it without flashing since it's the Xiaomi rom ?
Thank you
