Just flash some stock ROM with Odin for PC and if you want to use Mobile Odin again, follow all the instructions.
Wrong forum .
Yes try and explain have you flashed stock firmware via Odin ..
Are you saying its a bootloop ??
jje
isn't it obvious that questions go in the Q&A forum?
Thanks i flash it using odin pc. thanks
I was trying to upgrade to 4.3 through kies (I9300XXUGMK6) on my dutch non-rooted I9300, however when downloading the firmware to my device it was stuck at 4% and rebooted. Now I get the message "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.". Already tried that but it fails every time. I've also tried flashing the firmware with odin (like posted here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1671969 ) but it also fails everytime.
I've tried to go in recovery mode (Volume up + home + power) but get the same firmware error message. Does anyone know how I can get my phone to work again?
---Fixed---
Used another cable and tried the emergency recovery again, this fixed it and updated it to android 4.3

Was the process stuck at downloading process or while flashing it? While the firmware is getting downloaded no flashing process is done.. Can you please explain it properly.. Have you tried emergency recovery?

It was stuck while downloading from the pc to my phone, and yes I have tried the emergency recovery but it will not download to my phone.
Update: I have found the solution, it was a faulty cable! That was why it was stuck on downloading. Thanks for asking the right questions!

Thanks for the help but I have found the problem. It was a faulty cable. I cannot provide any screenshots for future reference because I did not make any. But thanks for your help!

Hello,
My friend has given me his S3 to try and fix. The phone will turn on, however it doesn't boot into the Home Screen. All this happened after he received a message about the phone being corrupted. I have tried a few things to fix it:
Attempted to recover the phone using Samsung Kies (in Kies > Tools > Firmware Upgrade and Initialization) - however it does not "connect" to the phone.
The PC does see the phone - Odin recognizes it.
Tried to use Odin to flash a Stock Rom / Firmware - Odin tells me I'm missing a PIT file.
Can't access the phones recovery - only the download mode when turned on.
So I'm pretty much stuck with only using Odin or something similar to try and flash the phone. My issue with Odin is that it doesn't flash zip files, so I'm trying to workout a way to get this phone back up and running but I'm out of ideas.

Is this not it?
My Verizon SCH-1605 Note 2 rebooted and would not boot past the Verizon logo screen!
I have tried to "reload" the Stock Latest Firmware from Samsung, version 4.4.2 VRUFND7 with no luck....
I'm using Odin ver. 3.09. It fails at the beginning sboot.bin FAIL!
I can not get the phone in Recovery Mode, only in the Download mode!
When I try to get it in the Recovery mode it says Samsung Galaxy Note II and loads the logo screen but never completes the boot. I have to pull the battery.
I have been searching all day for a solution. I'm sure someone on this site can help me...
Thanks
Cliff

Hi Cliff,
You probably found Droidstyle's Restore guide already, but if not, check it out here: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=34891181 ). It doesn't have restore instructions for 4.4.2, but the general instructions in section 1b will be the same. Try flashing the pit file at the same time as the firmware file if you're not doing that already.
You may also want to try a different version of ODIN if 3.09 isn't working... I've been using version 3.10 most recently with my Windows 7 64bit system and it has worked great.
Here's a Download link for ODIN 3.10.0. **With the newer ODIN versions, they have replaced the "PDA" slot with "AP"--so the .tar firmware file goes into AP in the newer ODIN. **(For reference--Here's the XDA Thread where XDA recognized contributor -CALIBAN666- posted the newer ODIN 3.10 version. Hit the thanks button for him and Droidstyle ****
Also...here's a link to the Verizon stock 4.4.2 firmware if you need it, but I bet you got your file from there already.
---------------
If ODIN doesn't work for you, you might consider trying the Verizon repair utility or Samsung Kies 3 Emergency Firmware Recovery.
Good luck!!
I can not connect to Kies . Drivers are good...can connect to Odin!
Thanks,
When I plug it in a USB port I don't always hear the beep to load the driver but I see the battery charge status symbol, but it always will go in to download mode and Odin see the Comm port.
I tried Odin 3.10 but with out the pit file...it said: sboot.bin
NAND write start!!
Fail!
I can not connect to kies either!

If ODIN is recognizing the phone, then I would try it with the pit file. Disable all Antivirus programs too and run ODIN as administrator. Also make sure kies is not running in the background. Other common fixes for ODIN problems are to try different usb cables and different usb ports (use a usb 2.0 port, not 3.0)...and the one closest to the computer's power supply seems to be recommended from what I've read. Hopefully you'll get it to go through successfully if you keep trying.
2 Days Now. I have tried every which way.... no good

(Edited for clarification)...
I apologize, but I'm not sure that I totally understand what you're saying. Did you get the phone restored to 4.4.2 with Odin and it crashed after you restored it? And now it won't boot into recovery (with volume up+home+power buttons all held at same time)... to let you complete a factory reset and wipe cache to see if that helps?
If you still need to restore it, then the best way to restore would be to reinstall the Verizon factory stock 4.4.2 ND7 firmware back onto your phone using Odin. Use the link I gave you above to get the stock firmware from Sammobile if you don't have it already. Use Droidstyle's guide to restore the phone (including the pit file when you install it in ODIN).
I'm not sure what you mean by your modem being disabled...it sounds like you're saying that Odin recognizes the phone, so are you meaning that you no longer have data and wifi....or your computer won't recognize the phone when you connect it and try to boot up into the ROM? If Odin still recognizes the phone in Odin mode, then you should be able to restore it back to 4.4.2.
You won't be able to use Odin to flash any custom ROM'S if that's what you were trying to do because your bootloader is locked. However, there is a root method for 4.4.2 called Ghettoroot, but it doesn't unlock the bootloader...just gives root access. If you can get the phone restored, you could research more about Ghettoroot later.
Hi
I have the Verizon version SCH-1605 NOTE 2 Phone
A few months ago I had a problem with the phone so I re-installed the firmware with stock 4.4.2 from the Samsung site. I think i was coming from 4.3 but not sure. I did this manually through Odin
I have first tried to reinstall 4.4.2 but fails through Odin.... it failed at sboot.bin. I have tried all other firmware and suggestions with no luck. I just tried the oldest firmware listed on the Samsung site 4.12 and it stops at NAND write.
I have to use Odin because the modem is disabled...
I cant plug the phone in the USB and get the phone drive showing....no beep when plugged into USB!
But I can put the Phone in the Download mode. I can't put it in recovery mode! I have to use Odin....PERIOD!
How the F do I reload the firmware???????????????
P.S Just found out what may be the problem over all. When in the Dowload mode it uses the Modem. When I go to Device Manager to check the status it says working but if id a querry it say says the Modem failed to respond!
Make Sure it is properly connected and turned on. if it is an internal modem of is
connected, verify that the interrupt for port is properly set.)
??????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Simple fix, go to sammobile.com download a stock rom for your device/model number and firmware.
If you are running 5.1.1 lollipop and you are from Europe, i advice you to download the Cyprus Rom from Sammobile.com (simply because it's not attached to a network provider and so the Rom doesn't contain bloatware)
Extract the zip file, until you get to the ".md5" file.
Move it (the .md5 file) to your desktop.
Download Odin 3.10.6 and put it also on your desktop.
Open Odin as administrator and click on "AP"
Choose the rom you've downloaded from Sammobile.com
Let Odin process the file.
Meanwhile put your device in Odin Mode/Download Mode and connect it to the computer
When Odin is done processing the file click on start.
When this didn't work, don't panic just reply here and tell us what you've encountered.
