Hi.
I managed to totally kill my PLK-L01 Honor 7 by faulty flashing.
I had firmware version 140 installed and the phones bootloader is unlocked and the phone is rooted with TWRP installed .
I wanted to upgrade to marshmallow beta img so i installed the img (called update and its a zip file which i downloaded through this site) in the external sd card, restarted in recovery twrp mode then chose the update and flashed.
Now the phone doesnt even start...no bootlogo at start and not even shwoing battery charging when connected to charger.
Its as if the screen is burnt.
The only thing that i get is is after pressing the power button and holding it for some 30 seconds, i get a little little vibration, thats it... nothing else. I tried with pc connection and without but nothing happens. PC doesnt see the phone connected,.
Any ideas?
Thx
You probably need to rollback to Lollipop... see here...

Hi,
Did You try to hold power button only, for long time?
In my case this done something like hard reset once.
Maybe it will help You.

Hi, I also ever faced this problem. When you flash an update via TWRP, it will BRICK your device. You should use stock recovery to flash a firmware update.
I also try all method to bring back my phone but it failed.
What I do is I bring my phone to SC and they give new phone 1 to 1 exchange on the spot to me.
Good luck to you.

@Cosonic: your phone is most likely dead. i have no idea why so many people are able to root their devices, but have not the slightest idea what that means for ota updates...

Hey guys,
I've got the xperia z tablet (16gb wifi only)
and I had unlocked it, the other day I saw it finally got an OTA update, so I let it update.
apparently that was a bad idea?, I was stuck with the broken android symbol every time i attempted to start the tablet..
I tried the sony software, the recovery thing it has. That has only made things worse, now the tablet refuses to start whatsoever.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I'd appreciate it very much.

Yould could try and have a look at the following thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1849170
Hi
I had the same issues when I flashed the wrong ROM. Nothing worked no power light or anything.
Now I can't remember exactly what I did but I started to press buttons and I'm sure that holing the power button and the vol up for a while made it start again and it displayed an error and then went into flash mode .
As I said I'm not sure which buttons I pressed but I know that I held them in for a while
Try using Flashtool... Im pretty sure you can rcover it by flashing a FTF file.

So there is hope. :highfive:
I think I found the testpin. My sgp311 has started to blink after being dead since November, when I bricked it.
I don't have the device pack though.. Do you have any clue on how to find it? I think I just need the sgp311 SEMC package to resuscitate it now... Hopefully...

get the stock ftf file and flash it using flashtools, I was in a bootloop and it worked
i know its an old post but i have to try
i m in a boot loop and i want to find the Fed file in order to do a fastboot....
Can someone give them??
I test my tablet SGP321 with many ROMs.. I end up going to boot loop... Crashes and stuff but I always recover from it.
The things I do before doing anything insane with my tablet
1. Take backup off apps/data
2. Always enable debugging and Unknown Sources
3. Keep the backup of the ROMs
4. Always have the xperia flashtool on my computer
Here's what you can do..
Press and hold the Power button and the Volume Up button for ten seconds until you see a white light flashing three times. While doing this somewhere around in 5 seconds you'll see white led flashing once, but keep on pressing those buttons till it flashes next three times.
After that your tablet will be turned Off.
You can put your device in flash mode and flash a new ROM from Xperia flash tool.
If you get the error "Unknown sources and USB debugging must me enable for flash mode, then your option can be to flash the ROM from fastboot.
Download a ROM (CyanogenMod or any with custom recovery).
Flash the boot.img via fastboot and reboot your device.
Once done you should see a led lit up while the device is booting (pink/magenta color in case of CyanogenMod).
Press the volume up/down button and you should be able to go to recovery mode.
From here you can recover your device easily
And before you do anything make sure you've charged your device well.
Good luck
My phones loads up to home screen then reboot in about 10 seconds... Any ideas? Running EMUI 3.1/Android 5.1 beta build. was trying to revert back to stock B013 and thats when this problem started

If you can goto fastboot, simply install recovery.img from UPDATE.APP(use huawei update extractor to extract img).
then copy update.app to dload folder in sd card and poweroff device.
press vol down + power button, it will boot into recovery and install UPDATE.app.
I faced this problem when from 5.1, i installed kangvipB015. it worked the way i told above.
Okay... I had my phone plugged into my usb 3.0 then I plugged the phone into my usb 2.0 port and phone started responded to my holding down volume and power buttons then phone booted up into unknown update and now everything is fine.... weird though
Huawei x2 loop
Hello. my X2 boots and reaches lockscreen, when I input my password a window comes up that says the system is not responding. After I click OK or WAIT the homescreen shows up, but after a while phone restarts and the same sequence happens again. I have tried booting into safe mode but the same thing happens. I also tried POWER plus VOL UP to clear cache. I have left the phone off and with zero battery power to simulate a battery pull. I cannot RESET however since I have valuable data on the phone which I cannot lose. Before this I was attempting to delete files by uploading to Google Photos, the phone froze so I restarted. When it booted that is when the looping began. I don't remember the version my X2 is in but since I got it I only had updated it once last year. I hope someone can help me.

sounds like you got a bad phone
easy way to get to bootloader is power + volume down - this will bring up fastboot mode where you can flash TWRP
then power + volume up till the phone shuts off and switch to power + volume down again should boot to TWRP
once TWRP loads you have a bunch of options - restore a backup - flash a rom - format the partitions ...lots of thing you can do their

sometimes when connecting to a charge ignites me the red LED (this is rare). usually even when I connect the phone to the charger, there is no reaction.

theirs not much you can do for a phone that doesn't turn on
I think I can throw away this phone. Maybe this phone have uncharged battery and now by the lack of system files, the phone can not be charged? you ever thought about that?
if I change the motherboard, the phone will work, right?
okay! I called to the site Huawei, they told me that the phone has a manufacturer's warranty by the IMEI number. I am from the Polish and if my phone was bought in Europe, I can make a phone warranty.
For all who will have the same problem, IMEI number can be found on the SD card slot.
I have a Huawei Mate 10 Pro that is unlocked but won't install Lineage OS. I have tried using the Huawei Update Extractor and flashing ramdisk, recovery ramdisk, and system.img. I have flash Lineage OS several times. Now I am stuck on the "Your device is unlocked" screen with no action happening. If I hold Volume Up to enter the e-recovery, I am only present with three options, with only two doing anything which are working: Restart and Shutdown (this is the only way I can shut down the device). There is no wipe data option. I know I am running a BLA-L29 model and pretty sure it is the European model. I installed TWRP but getting to that screen is difficult as each time I hold a button combination (Volume Up + power button or Volume Down + power button), nothing happens (I do know it is installed as I have reach the screen several times on my device). Any suggestion? I would like to install Lineage but I would be fine returning to stock OS. I apologize for the redundancy of this thread (potentially) but I couldn't find the answer anywhere, and nothing specific to my situation.

what do you mean that your phone is stuck at recovery mode? if not you can enable the developers option this is the steps
1.) Go to setting
2.) Go to About phone
3.) tap the build number 7 times
4.) now quit the setting then open it again
5.) scroll down then choose the developers option
thats how you open developers option
basically when I reboot turn off> it will "never" boot into normal mode. My phone is so broken that pressing power button only still boot into recovery mode, wipe data and reboot still into recovery mode.

your phone seems to be new which means that your volume keys are still new and good so thats not our problem here your phone didin't boot right? did you do something to your system phone like flashing or something? because if you do there is a big chance that you screw up something in your phone resulting it to be like that. now your phone can still be charge right there might be still a hope we just need to reflash your whole firmware ( if the problem is really a firmware) you said before you cant boot right then there must be a problem in the booting process, i tested this on my phone before i clean wipe my whole phone and that include system partition so when i tried to boot my phone it wont and when i charge it no logo would appear just like yours so im guessing that you phone partition is gone and like you said to its bricked now. if thats the case we need to flash the whole firmware

Thanks for reply>to avoid confusion no I did not do anything/flashing/even enable usb debugging to my OPPO A15S. I am total newbie that I flash Samsung J7 once only. The Oppo A15S yes it is 1-2 years only, volume key clicking works fine but after system update via setting>Official Oppo coloros things. My phone kinda messed up volume key not working<google results say because a lot of phone cannot boot up because of volume key. So should I pry open my phone to see the volume key? Or just wait until 1 day scheduled power up happens?
Logs:
Wednesday 5am my phone auto boot up in recovery mode.I press restart and the screen black nothing happens.
Thursday 5am no boot up
Friday no boot up too.
So I assume it is my phone power is low and somehow my auto scheduled power on force my phone to boot up? and that time system auto update causes my phone die in midway?

hmm i see you didnt do anything in your phone but you did say that you updated it right? while updating you phone did something happen? like rebooting? if so there might be a chance that it became corrupted because of ,that while in the case of your power button what kind of problem does it have? does it work correctly? or you cant click it like its stuck or something? or maybe the button is working correctly and your phone just doesnt boot up? if the button is really problem like google stated ----->
Why is my OPPO always in Recovery mode?
One of the most common causes is that one of the buttons used to access android system recovery is defective or malfunctioning. Now, you should first check if the physical buttons are responding properly, especially the volume buttons, before trying to get rid of the Android Recovery Mode.
you should probably check you physical button because that might be a problem and i just remembered i have the same problem in my sisters phone vivo y53 its always stuck in recovery mode and we are confused why did it happen so we bring it to our technician friend and let him fix it and he really fix it he he told me that if something happen like this again check all the buttons correctly. Now there is really problem in you button and you cant just pry in you phone you might break something you should let the professional do it like technician after you fix your button try to boot up again and if its still black screen or recovery then the problem is in the phone system and you can comeback here so we can help you fix it.
