I just googled this and saw this article (to my surprise); http://www.stuff.tv/news/microsoft-can-convert-android-phones-windows-10-devices
So basically I have a Blu Vivo Aire LTE handset coming my way, I'm actually keen to just try Windows OS after my past 3-4yrs of Android use, is it possible to do this yet?
Cheers,
Dunker

Hello,
I would like to buy the cheapest tablet I can find. I found an eBay insertion featuring a Chinese tablet running Android 2.1.
While I wait for the seller to provide me (if known) some information about brand and model name to find more information about this device, I would like to ask a couple of questions that might sound stupid a little for you experts, but as I don't know much about the Android OS I'm still going to ask (if this was WinMo, I already knew the answer was NO)
1. Is it possible to upgrade Android to a newer version, ie. Gingerbread or even Honeycomb, on any device that supports it? Like, some kind of software upgrade tool? Or, how could somebody make an upgraded ROM without spending months in reasearching, experimenting and breaking?
2. Is it possible at least to root devices like the one I mentioned?
Thank you
Hello,
I purchased the ViewPad 10 dual boot quite some time ago, and have come to the point where it is pointless to have Windows 7 on a tablet with only 16 GB HDD.
As a result, I have been interested in installing Android on this tablet, replacing the existing Windows install.
I know how to install Android, as I have previously upgraded the 1.6 version to 2.2. However, given 2.2 is the latest official version released by ViewSonic, I am stuck.
Can anyone link me to the latest compatible version of Android that works on the ViewSonic? I have researched and read that there is an Android 3.2 release for a 'Vega2' that may work with the ViewSonic 10, though I am not 100% sure about this.
Also, will all Android apps work on the x86 architecture? If they don't work via Android Market, is there another way to get them working?
Hopefully someone can help me out here.
Can anyone help me out.....?
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi
I also have a Viewpad 10Pi and I am wondering if there is anyway to root it? Thanks Tom
Hi All.
This question may seem trivial, and I've searched high and low for an answer but couldn't find one.
I have an Oppo R7g. This is running ColorOS version 2.1.0i and on android version 5.1.1.
In short I would like to install the Marshmallow release of android onto the phone, in effect replacing ColorOS. I have managed to Root my phone using the Oppotools and now I am looking around for the ROM. But I can't seem to find one.
I was surprised that there wasn't a release from Google that I could use. When googling for this I found the below link that links to factory images for nexus devices. It seemed like there was a different image per version for each device. This isn't what I expected. When I want to install windows or Ubuntu on my laptop I dont need to seek a particular version for my specific build of laptop. Is this different for phones?
What would happen if I took the latest Nexus 5X image and put it on my phone Oppo R7?
Thanks
Will
My question is easy.
#1 - Is possible to, mixing codes or something similar, to build any kind of Rom, like a style of Fusion between Android (6 or not) and Windows Mobile 10 (or Phone #X) to install on Lumia 920?
#2 - If not, is possible to get dual boot on Lumia 920 to run Android when it is needed (for example, in my personal case, to stream radio online with MixLR or any app that is not yet possible in Windows Mobile devices; to other people, I think, to play Pokemon Go xDDDDDDDDDDDDD)?
#3 - If not too, any posibility to continue porting apks to Windows Mobiles Apps to try to port MixLR for me? And IPAs? Any guidance in this last situation? I do'nt know how to use Visual Studio and how to install WinObjC for Islandwood Project.
If #1 & #2 are not possibles today yet, I wish that someone that knows how to develop, get that ideas and try to begin that kind of builds or BL options.
#3 is my last choice, but I suposse the most easier, hun?
Near of 15 months ago since I open this thread... and got nothing.
At least, any explain could be very gladly for me to understand the reasons of the possibilities and the reasons of the impossibilities.
]The Nebula Mars, which is made by an offshoot of Anker, comes with a custom OS running on Android 4.4. For the unfamiliar, it offers a decent projector in a small size, combined with a battery for portability.
Since this isn't a phone running a typical phone ROM, I'm hesitant to root it and start tinkering, but the stock OS and software is absolute crap. The system allows updates and installation of APKs, but the company says they have no intention of issuing a firmware/ROM update.
Any advice on where to find others who have this device and are also interested in modifying the OS or updating to a newer version of Android? Any recommendations on approaches to non-destructively modifying the OS? I don't think it has a separate partition for restoring prior ROMs, and I'm just inexperienced enough that I'd end up bricking it.
Same question about the Nebula Mars Lite model
So I webd to Walmart and found that they sell the lite model for $349. The problem is that there is no android at all. I am not sure if the hardware is any different because both models look identical. I wonder if there is a way to either install the original mars OS on it or something better ie costom rom of some kind.
Hey ! I'm also interesting in upgrading the OS of my nebula Mars... Any news for this project? Thanks !

just grabbed the Lite version ($180 at my walmart) and it looks like it is running android (lollipop it looks like, PC shows "lollipop" when connected to the wifi settings page) but it's locked away behind it's launcher...
that's all I was able to figure out.
Nebula Mars 2 is on the market with Android 7.1. Anyone trying to port it to Mars 1 please?
