Can't activate phone on Sprint after restoring to Stock - Sprint LG G3

I was running Bare-Bum on my Sprint LG G3 for a while, but have noticed some bad GPS issues.
I decided to flash back to stock to see if the would fix the issue, but I have run into another problem.
After following the steps HERE I was back at stock but was unable to activate the phone on Sprint, using the handsfree/auto activation.
I noticed that the following were reset/different in the About Phone/Status menu:
Phone Number - Not correct
MIN - Not correct
MEID HEX- Not Correct
MEID DEC - Not Correct
I was able to use my MSL number to set the Phone Number and MIN, but I still can't register the phone with Sprint.
Can any one tell me how to change the MEID? I'm hoping that that will allow me to get the phone working on Sprint.
Thanks in advance.

Well I fixed my issue.
After flashing back to Stock I rerooted the phone and restored my backup of BearBum.
Got it all working. Now to figure out how to get back to stock without having the above issue...

Flash back to stock and do a PROFILE update and PRL update.
Edit: try this too "##UPDATE#
or
##SCRTN#
or the biggie - which fixes bootani and Wifi calling
##RTN# - requires your MSL. "

I have this same issue and now I need help. can you tell me what you restored or are you willing to share your solution?

I'm having this problem too. I followed the directions to revert to stock, exactly. None of the dialer codes work. PRL and Profile updates both give errors. I can factory reset in settings, but it just takes me back to the beginning, still no codes or activations work.

How were you even able to do that? My MSL is all zeroes. The CDMADevTerm tool says my SPC does not exist (???).

Thinking u need to install another prl. It's weird to me that updating it in sense rom didn't fix it. I know there are multiple threads on prl's and one with downloads.
Maybe try asking in one of those threads?

Alrighty get ur msl if you have root by getting in the appstore then go into dialer and type ##3282## and then do edit and ur password is ur msl number then do restore data profile and dont touch the phone and let it reboot this is for data but it might fix it if not flash prl but try this first

[Q] AT&T i717 won't recognize AT&T SIM

Hey guys, I'm an AT&T subscriber on an AT&T phone, and I can't get service after flashing a ROM in CWM.
This morning I flashed my G~Note i717 to Padawan 7. I noticed I could make calls and text, but all of my cellular data would not work. After a quick google, I assumed that I needed to reflash a modem, so I downloaded a UCLF6 modem and flashed it in CWM. My data still did not work, so I reverted to a stock android 4.0.4 ROM. Now, not even my SIM card is recognized. Cannot call, text, or data (wifi is still functional). It isn't an issue with the SIM, as it works in my iPhone 3GS, and my friend said it worked in his Galaxy SIII (LTE included).
Any suggestions?
PS: I've tried finding similar topics. Most of it was people on T-mobile trying to get their service to work on an AT&T phone. Still, I tried their fixes and no luck.
If you have voice and text, but no data, the modem is ok. The base rom you had is from Asia so it doesn't have the at&t data settings. You have to manually input the APN in the wireless settings.
I don't have any advice about the stock rom and your sim card issue, except to do a factory reset and re flash the rom.

Tried this, but still no luck. Thanks for the info though, I didn't know that about the modems. Anyone else have any ideas? I really don't want to go back to my iPhone on this one, even for a little bit...
Check the apn settings very closely..
Upper and lower cases, spaces and periods etc.
Even one small error will fail the data connection.
Could you show us the APN you have now please ?...g

I can't open the APN settings. It's under Mobile Networks, right? It says I must insert a SIM card to access those features. (SIM card is in, btw).
Understood ...
If you reverted to a stock rom then yes, that field is likely locked.
But you can add new APN'S with a rooted stock rom.
And I'm sure the problem lies there....g
Double check you have the card in the slot correctly. Its not hard to mess that up. Possibly borrow a sim card from anyone else (doesn't have to be at&t) and check that. Sim cards do get fried.

Any pro-tips/linkies on how to do this? Can't find anything that involves bypassing that little "Insert a SIM card to access these features" warning.
If it helps, my rooted ROM is 4.0.3 stock now, UCLD3.
Also, yeah, double and triple checked my SIM. It works just fine in my iPhone, and my friends' SIMs aren't recognized by the GNote.
No tricks I'm afraid .
If the "no sim" error persists, no APN additions can be made.
At this point, I would factory reset the device and try setting up again.
If that fails, I would Odin back to stock GB 2.3.6 and test again.
If you elect to Odin back, you must fully wipe the device first....or it won't be happy ...g

Yes ....the Odin to stock method will repair the damage on occasion, but not always, as in the case of your device.
I'm hoping we get lucky on this one, but I'm not holding my breath.
OP ....I feel you should try the .zip method first, then Odin back second if it fails.
You may also have mechanical damage, but we need to exhaust our other options first ....g
The sim slot does fail occasionally, so get it stock and eliminate that.

So first I want to say, the use of punctuation would make this easier to read. Could you please reform your help request like this:
1) what's the problem
2) what you've attempted to do to resolve it
3) where are you now. IE still not working.
4) what's currently loaded on the phone (stock or custom rom, which ROM and which radio and which service you're attempting to use this phone on)
From what I read it seems that you're currently having the issue that you can receive voice and sms but no data. Have you been able to receive data before? have you reset your device to stock? I believe you can do this using the Kies software from your desktop/laptop (if I'm wrong, please someone correct me). What carrier are you on? what radio are you using?
hope this is a good start point to get this resolved.

[FIX] Straight Talk (NO DATA) | NO MMS | Galaxy Note I717
Hey guys! JALStudios here (Usually seen over at Galaxy S2 Forums) and I have a GREAT fix for you guys!
If you are having issues getting your Data to work and possibly MMS then you need to follow the steps below on how to fix!!
(MUST BE ROOTED)
1. Download Goldie's Special ROM! http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1669170
**If you don't want to use Goldie's ROM then flash the UCLE2 Modem to your current ROM and then proceed with steps!**
2. Boot Into Recovery Mode (CWM)
3. Wipe Data/Factory Reset (3 Times)
4. Wipe Cache Partition
5. Reboot
6. Let Sit For 10 Minutes without touching!
7. Reboot again!
8. Go to APN Settings settings>mobile networks>access point names
9. Add New APN
10. Type in this Info:
Name: straight talk
APN: att.mvno
Proxy: 66.209.11.32
Port: 80
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS Proxy: 66.209.11.32
MMS Port: 80
Authentication Type: PAP or CHAP
11. SAVE APN!!!!!
12. Reboot

Ok, what I would do first is flash back to UCLF6 baseband, clear cache, dalvik and perform a factory reset, see if that cleared it up. If it didn't I would attempt to eliminate any funky things that might be going on (maybe the radio didn't get updated when the odin flash was performed, maybe remnants are still lingering, who knows) I would use the Kies reset method found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1731654 see if that clears up the issue as that should reset your baseband, your ROM, everything. This will unroot your phone if I recall correctly. if that corrects the issue, verify your baseband and then root the phone (if you want to) and go from there. Again, those are the methods I'd take personally if I were having this issue.
Re-root is needed to unlock APN settings on roms, and not all roms will allow APN changes.
(If the builds are Samsung TW roms or their variant builds )
The rom I "know" has working and pre-loaded APN listings for straight talk is Cyanogenmod 9 stable. (ICS build) and can be found on the Cyanogenmod website. (Device is quincyatt)
Testing this AOSP BUILD will eliminate the need for reloading APNs after flashing, and if combined with the UCLE2 baseband, should eliminate any variables with Straight talk APN issues.
Beyond a known and working AOSP build with ready APNs and proper baseband, if the device fails to function, you may have damaged the device.
Additionally, posting multiple threads for the same issue is frowned upon, and will draw moderator attention very quickly.
I hope this helps you ...g

This user had similar issues, and you may have partition corruption also, by rapid flashing and restoring the device without proper cleaning.
I advise "extreme " caution when using Odin too partition or re-partition the device, and suggest that you PM the OP from the above link "Before" any partition adjustments are attempted.
I do not mean to sound harsh or condescending in any way. And I truly am trying to help you Sir.

[Q] 5830i lost imei but can make call

Hi everyone, i have a question.
I flashed Cronmod INT2EXT script and my S5830i lost its imei (Settings: IMEI Unknown, *#06# gives blank IMEI), but I am able to make and receive calls and SMS normally.
I was wondering why my phone doesn't lose signal, and can I get my IMEI back by flashing the original stock ROM?
Thanks
Yes you can get it back.
Anyone, XBOX360 With me?
is this problem due to the corrupted efs partition? I still have baseband, only lost imei, and I am eager to learn more about this problem. How can the network operator accept a phone w/o an imei?
Flashing original Firmware is not Guaranteed to give your IMEI back

Hi,
Lost my IMEI a couple of times too, each time I flashed the original Firmware I did not get My IMEI back. So Flashing the Firmware is not a guarantee that you will have your IMEI back. Its only a matter of time before your service provider stops they services.
Flash the original firmware and if you dont have you IMEI back download and install Google Toolbox- back up your EFS and Use Hex to get it back, its a pretty simple procedure and there is a guide on how to do it. There is a link somwhere on the SGS3 V3 ROM you can see it we discussed it there. If you still have the problem let me know and I will gladly help.
AND WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM IF YOU STILL HAVE THE SERVICES OF YOUR NEWORK PROVIDER???!!!

so, can I use Galaxy Toolbox to restore my IMEI without losing my INT2EXT script?
Well, I used Galaxy Toolbox to backup the efs partition and used Hex Workshop to open it and navigated to the address 0x80000, and it showed that my IMEI is still there, while *#06# gives blank imei and settings > about phone > status displays "unknown imei"
Could someone explain this? I am still using cronmod INT2EXT script.
Flash the original firmware, and then restore the IMEI as you did before, you will see it will be there. Then just flash a Kernel that supports init.d and mount the partition you will have your internal space back
RASTA NEVER DIES
---------- Post added at 05:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:46 PM ----------
And just out of curiosity which Rom are you using?
Cronmod is known to cause the loss of IMEI
RASTA NEVER DIES
I'm using stock ROM DXMC1
Baseband S5830iDXMC2
Rafael Kernel 2.6.35.7
Cronmod INT2EXT script
I just wonder if I could get my IMEI back without losing INT2EXT script ( I love this script as I have 3 GB of internal memory to freely install apps).
Galaxy toolbox still reconizes my IMEI now, so I don't know what happened with the efs partition.
3 GB internal memory!!! Are you crazy! You can install all the apps in the market and still have space. Now get this: whenever u use INT2SD the partition should not be more than 1.5GB at more than that you will have issues with it.
RASTA NEVER DIES
---------- Post added at 04:54 PM ---------- Previous post was at 04:50 PM ----------
You can work on getting your IMEI back and then flash the script again, it takes less than 5 mins so why don't you do it?
There is no way you can get back your IMEI without loosing it, just get it back and flash the script again.
RASTA NEVER DIES
OK, I got my IMEI after flashing the original stock ROM.
I don't know if there is any good kernel that supports init.d apart from Rafael that can be installed on stock ROM.
I think that if I use cronmod again I will lose my imei again, so I'm looking for some other scripts. For the time being, I'm using Link2SD.
I just flashed back to stock then flashed another rom and got the IMEI number back. Its happened to me twice.

Note 3 settings missing menus?

hiya guys,
I've been having a lot of problems the past couple days..
I ordered my note 3 straight from Sprint. When I got it, I flashed custom recovery and flashed Freezas stockish ROM. The phone came loaded with NAB so I installed the
NAB version of the ROM, well there was some missing menus in settings, like tethering and such.. So I flashed stock nc5 and flashed his engineering boot loader. Ugraded my firmware to nc5. Flashed the nc5 version of the ROM and still the same settings.. No WiFi calling in settings, no tethering options at all.. I got curious and decided to flash KitKatkiller to see if it had the same problems, it was the same thing in the settings in kitkatkiller except it showed the ROM manager and stuff that was added into the ROM. But was missing tethering.. I hit WiFi hotspot in the toggle like I did on freezas ROM and it said hotspot not supported..
But josh's ROM is deodexed with that mod included.
What is going on?
Try this

Hi guys I know your problem.
Csc stuff needs stock recovery to be proberly applied in my experience. I can factory reset phone to different csc (XAS for example) and have sprint hotspot and usb tethering options removed from menu.
Set csc to SPR and power off phone. Power back on to stock recovery and you should see something along the lines of "applying csc SPR"
If menus have not been added at this point factory reset may be in order with correct csc applied.
Once you have these menus added in THEN odin the custom recovery you want.
Good luck!

I used galaxytool.apk it shows XAS
Actually it(SM-N900P) is flashed to Reliance CDMA here in india to use it with RCDMA RUIM
Device is Stock, as it can be seen in status.
Someone told me that it is not activated on Sprint so no boot logo of sprint & no tethering & Hotspot option without activation on sprint,
My device's rom is NC5 Stock Rooted
I m new to all this, so pls suggest me step by step guide to get hotspot option.

If your phone is flashed to another carrier and you didn't do it yourself you probably just want to leave it how it is.
XAS wont display sprint boot and power down animations. The phone comes with 4 different ones. sprint, samsung, boost, and virgin that can all be set. XAS gives you the samsung one.(like debranded phone)
But yea unless you know the process to setup the phone for reliance or have someone who can do it again for you I would advise to leave it alone.
But if you are brave take an nv backup in dfs or qpst's software download (even better would be to dd these partitions [mmcblk0p12 13 &18]) and only then take the steps I mentioned previously with the stock recovery. Alternately get a nandroid from someone on the same software version. You will probably want to have sprintdm.apk removed to be safe. Either way take nv backup before moving forward especially if you don't know how to flash a phone to reliance.
**edit**
Go into apn's and write down your settings for them. and BE ADVISED the "enable hotspot" in my app is for phones on Sprint only!
Once you get the menu items added we (should hopefully) be able to enable them.

You need to boot once to stock recovery to have these menus added properly.
Let me know how it goes!
Click to collapse
oops!!!
Mistake...
I have changed its NV to "RUIM only" after changing it to SPR.
I have rebboted in stock recovery right now.
Pressed powe+volume up+home button
Get into stock recovery
Pressed power button to reboot....
But no luck....
Should i have to change CSC again through galaxytool.apk/Preconfigure/SPR/INSTALL?
It's now showing SPR as i can see in preconfigure.
Thanks

Odin stock tar for the exact software version you are on now and then reboot to recovery. If mps_code is set to SPR before odin'ing the tar you will get these menus added.
Hello @idone
I have read in xda LG G2 forums that replacing carrier folder of unactivated phone with sprint activated devices enable csc features.
If this can be done with SM-N900P?
Thanks
