can somebody help me with this only happen when im at work before this a used to have service now i cant make phone calls or send text messages i check my coverage and im cover before this happen my phone automatic connect to at&t and now it wont please help

Same thing has been happening to me towers around here or out in in Florence alabama

Been happening to me too since the start and have been looking for a solution ever since. Still no luck

AKey

Hello,
I looked around a bit about finding the A-key. I just had my phone remotely fixed for the authentication problem, but they never told me the A-key even though I asked.. I was wondering if there was a way to pull it off the phone..
This is verizon, the akey is blank in EPST.. I tried CDMA Workshop and it got a bunch of crazy info but errored out on when getting the a-key. I also looked through qpst but it doesnt look like a-key is in there(under service programming).
Anyone have any ideas? Im about to start flashing and Id hate to be on the phone with verizon for another couple of hours every time this happens.
Before I called verizon I even tried generating my own Akey with that akey calculator but that didnt really work..

some verizon service areas do not use an akey stored on the phone but instead they authorize in their sytem based on your esn and some identifier your radio sends them. This is the way it is in my area. the verizon tech told me all of their systems will be moving this way, supposed to help prevent phone cloning and some other security issues.
I was assured that all i would need to do is call if it tells me phone not authorized and they will correct it.

I gotta say im thinking this is true. I just flashed my phone to NexVisions rom and cant activate so im gunna have to wait till morning to get it activated because tech support stops working in the middle of the night i guess. If its as simple as it sounds, I will report back as such.
Soooo I left the phone plugged in on the otherside of the house (I figured I cant get calls why bother bringing it im my room) and it wasnt able to make calls i figured no out no in so i shouldnt be able to get calls. I wake up this morning to 16 missed calls because someone called in at work and Im the only one who can work.... it activated at some point in the night. *228 worked just fine... completely baffled... just worked out of the blue, does this have something to do with recieving calls? any ideas?

When it wasnt authenticated before i called verizon I got the calls but I couldnt answer them and they would be missed calls after one ring or so.. Maybe thats what was happening in ur case..
Could be that verizons systems updated themselves or something..

Been a long time lurker, but now i am in need of some help.
Had the galaxy s2 for a couple of weeks now and most of the time it works great. but occasionaly it will not recieve calls or sms. i get no notifications of missed calls, voicemail messages etc. to the caller it just goes straight to voicemail. A few hours later i get all? the sms come in at once, sometimes a voicemail notification but no missed calls. when this happens i have a good signal and am able to call out.
Its definately not because i was using data services at the time and not lack of signal.
I have rooted the phone, but still with a stock rom (ke7 ?)
Anyone got any ideas ?
The handset ? The sim card ? or the network ?

i have the same issue as you ...
the only solution that i found is to set my phone is GSM MODE only but you will loose your 3g/h data and only use EDGE

Was wondering, was the phone on charge when it missed the calls/texts?
it could be any number of things, really. if your sim card is not fairly new i would replace it just to be on the safe side. you might try hard resetting your phone (which will delete all your info so back it up first) and starting over.
do you have any apps that block data connections at various times? if so i would delete that app and use the phone for a few days without it to see if the issue goes away.
have you flashed a different radio? if so, try the one that matches your rom, or try the newest one you can find.
there are many possible causes, but if i were in your position i would hard reset it and not install any apps that might interfere with your connection to the network and i would make sure my sim card was fairly new. if the issue still persists you might try asking for an exchange if possible.
If upu have the phone on GSM only then incoming calls go directly to voicemail when data bursts are happening (which is often). So switch to 3g to fix.
If you're not on GSM then I have no idea, maybe no signal in that area...

Ok theres possibly been a development with this.
But first a big thanx to all your suggestions, and my response to them.
Seems a bit pointless having such a device then crippling some of it just to get the basic phone part to work. although switching to gsm only may be a temporary solution.
Fault occurs either on charge or not.
Fault has occured whilst at home where all data connections are disabled and wi-fi exclusively used. I havent tried flashing a different radio yet, but it is still on the latest ?? ke7 ? firmware. Sim card was brand new a couple of weeks ago.
So gsm only wont help, but as above when at home i use wi-fi.
Now i spoke to my network, talk mobile a few days ago, they say it will take more than 5 days for their IT dept to contact me to try and sort this ! as i can still make calls they dont see it as a major fault ??? Looks like customer care is not important to them.
I have also spoke to the company i purchased from(wish i hadnt as customer DISatisfaction appears high on their list of prioritys)mobiles.co.uk. I was speaking to someone at their Fullfillment team yesterday about getting another handset sent out, but for some reason i couldnt finish arranging it yesterday. Then early yesterday eve one of their guys rang me back out of the blue to say he had been looking into my fault and had found something not quite right with the original connection they had set up. He was honest enough to admit it was a bit beyond his knowledge and was getting someone from the connections dept to help him. they are going to re-do my connection and for me to wait 24hrs for this to be sorted and hopefully it should be ok after that. All credit to Leeroy at mobiles.co.uk.
The only problem now is other than getting someone to ring me every 1/2hr, how do i know if its working or not ?
I guess the best i can do is leave it a while and see if i get any more complaints that people cant get hold of me.
Once again many thanx for all your suggestions, i will update this when i am confident it has or hasnt been fixed.

this happens to me perhaps every other day
i get a txt saying so and so called but left no message
my reception is fine and my phone has been sitting in one place on 3 bars
i call the person and they said they tried to call and it went straight to voicemail
the txt arrives instantly so i am putting up with just calling people back as its not very frequent
plus i have 1200 mins so i need to use them!
I have the same problem and I believe mine has something to do with the way the towers handle the switch from 3g to edge. You said you get a text message showing a missed call, I think that would be usefull to me also until we can get this fixed. Are you using google voice to get your sms, if not what?
I have the exact same problem, and it's beginning to interfere with my work. The HSDPA signal here is very weak. So I switched it to GSM only, which resolved my signal problem, but I keep missing calls. All I get is a sms saying that I missed a call. Would my problems be solved if I had full HSDPA signal the entire time? You said that calls are missed when data bursts are happening on GSM only? I almost never receive a call the first time. Only after ~3 attempts would they get a hold of me.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

hi i really hope someone can give me some advice,ill get straight to it.....
i recently bought my samsung galaxy s2 from ebay,,it was on o2 firmware but the phone was unlocked,i rooted the phone and installed a custom rom,,after a couple days use i changed the sim card and found that although i have 3g reception and can access internet,,i cant make or recieve calls my network has checked and theres no problem there,,and 02 said the phone is definately not locked,,but i cant call out or message and now i cant get the phone to accept the original sim which was working i hope this makes sense and someone can hopefully give me some advice Please

What does it say when you try to call someone?
the phone disconnects immediately with call ended message, when i try to call the phone it says this number is not accepting calls at this moment although virgin say there is nothing wrong,,i also contacted the original operator o2 who aslo say they dont see any problem with the handset,,i cant connect to any other networks at all now,,just get the cant connect to network message try later,,and the only network i do get is virgin the phone says im connected i can access internet through 3g but just cant make or recieve calls or messages,,ive tried flashing original firmware through odin but to no avail,,im gutted only had phone 2weeks and cant make callls,,and as i bought through ebay i have no warranty

Try to reflash your SGSII. Its fantastic phone but little tricky.
Why wouldn't you have a warranty? You got original receipts? You sure you flashed everything properly?
You might need to send it off for repair.
since it was bought on ebay i dont have receipts,,i have a feeling it may have been disconnected by the o2 network.....in the process of dealing with the seller (fingers crossed)

i527 Mega Blacklisted and now

I have the AT&T Galaxy Mega i527 I got the phone a little over a month ago and had it unlocked and running on T Mobile perfectly well a few days ago it stopped working so after calling Samsung and making a few more calls I'm being told im Blacklisted, so after paying The Unlock Pro's to fix this im getting full Data at over 10MBPS at all time and as far as I can tell my Text work but Calling Out/Receiving Calls has major issues! when it does(rarely does) call out it will take forever to start ringing and most of the time it will drop the call..please help!!

If your getting full data you can use various apps to make and receive calls and text like mo+ or grooveip to name a few. I believe you need a google number to use the aforementioned. There are some that provide a number for you like talkatone.

Those will all stop working as of mid-May. Google will be disabling external VoIP functions then.
Another alternative is skype. I pay 2.99 a month for unlimited calling in the US, you can also receive calls from landlines through skype. I think that service is like $7 a month. Hopefully this will help with your problem.

Google for checkesnfree, can verify if phones are blacklisted there.
Possible 1)
Dial *#0011# with your sim card inside. Look for something called "IMEI CERT". If it says "Fail" (or not listed at all) then the problem is "The Unlock Pro's" have buggered your NVM. And without a proper backup of your original NVM, nothing to do.
Possible 2)
Flash the stock modem for your Mega (newest version only) and kernel only. Wipe data/factory reset, then reapply your APN settings. Make sure to do a manual select on the network.
Possible 3)
Dial *#06#, write down your IMEI, then pull your battery out and look at the sticker on back and see if the IMEI on the sticker matches. If it doesn't then they have altered your IMEI (which is illegal by the way), and put your IMEI to one that is in use by another phone.

just to give a update im still having the calling out/receiving calls problem , the company I paid 60 to fix the IMEI refuses to even respond to my e-mails.. I jus find it weird im still getting full data at all times and the phone has the 4G LTE sign at the top right of the screen until I go to make a call then it jus goes to a regular 4G sign with no LTE. also I've noticed the calling out/receiving calls feature works fine depending where im at like for instance I went to the hash bash in Ann Arbor the other day and everything was working fine.. im thinking im going to just send the phone to Joe The Android Rooter and see if he has luck getting it figured out. I'm jus sick of this thing being a money pitt..

Question Strange behaviour

Hi all,
Today, my battery level was only 20%, the phone suggest activate economy mode.
I made this when i was at work i start a full charge.
During charge and after, all work Wifi, internet but no phone call possible.
I see logo for network reception and 4G.
After full reboot, call work again ... But not secure because you see 4G logo and then you think full work but not.
Nobody with the same thing ?
Since this behaviour, i'm not sure at 100% that my phone work for calls and i've a little doubt in my mind ...

Not seen this issue; normal calls and wifi calling both working well; but then I'm in the UK on BT/EE; I hear some of the US network bands don't work so well with the phone?
Once fail again this evening ... I was on Telegram with my wife and we are speaking with text but she said now i try to call you but it's your voice mail.
On my Find N, i've logo 4G and level max for reception ... Then il try to call my wife but don't work for call.
After reboot phone, same issue and don't work ... and few minutes later, it's work i receipt voice call and i can call.
What's happening ? I'm so sad with this ... It's as dream phone but i've doubt for receipt and make voice call. Help me please. :-(

Sorry to hear that. Only thing I can suggest is to try a different network provider (as the problem sounds network related?), turn on WiFi calling if at home, or actually call via Telegram (effectively over 4G using mobile internet), or WhatsApp.
i am in the US ATT same thing happened to me would be able tog et text and use internet in 4g but ransomly would not get or be able to place calls. Its a great phone but could not risk not receiving calls.
If you're using ATT, your phone is about to become a lemon. When you make or receive a call, it uses a 3G network. ATT is shutting down their 3G towers this month so your area has probably shut down by now. Switch to Tmobile, it uses voice calls differently so you won't be having an issue.
I'm from Belgium and my provider is Mobile Vikings.
Mobile Vikings use the network from Proximus (most big provider in Belgium).
It's random, i'm afraid with this ...
I love very very very much this phone but i need to solve this :-(
After to speak with my local provider, confirmation that my phone full work and compatible with Mobile Vikings.
Mobile Vikings is in transition for to full pass to Proximus and then they give me a procedure for reboot and make some specific settings.
I try few days and comeback here for give you news and débrief.
