Hi,
i have two Flames from Mozilla. Unfortunately, they discontinued FxOS for phones, so i'm trying to create my own Android custom ROM for Flame. I cooked something with Android Kitchen, but when i try to install it on Flame through sideload, i see only error about package verification - i think that custom recovery can solve this and ignore signature. I tried to find TWRP for Flame, but nothing...
No way AFAIK
Maybe this one can help:

you must install a stock rom first then install the 6.5 rom you want to go to.

The reason why nobody may have helped you is because you couldnt be bothered to help yourself.
There is plenty of information and guides on this if you take 2 minutes to look. All you need to do is boot into tricolor bootloader and flash stock windows mobile, tahts it. If you have been installing magldr/wp7 you should know how to do this.
You have purposely posted in the incorrect section, this is not for newbie support questions this is for posting ROM developments.
Thread reported.
i did boot into tri bootloader but when rom is installing it shows an "error 260: connection"

read the wiki to find out what that error means. No one here is going to be your personal tutor in finding these stuff out.
There are threads out there that talk about it but i'm guessing you didn't bother to search and decided to bypass all that.

@ OP
Stop asking these types of questions, These can be answered very easily by simply using a search button which you obviously didn't bother to do.
If you read the topics and still have probs then ask again.
Use the search form - top right corner magnifying glass icon
Lets make it easy for the guy

Read the stickies, search for them on your own and find them. Then read them and be sure you know what you're doing. You won't be spoon fed.
help section is next door

Though I won't be spoon feeding.. But I will give you a few pointers..
Generally Custom ROMs are installed using custom recoveries unless otherwise specified in the roms OP.. So either CWM or TWRP should be fine..
The error you get is either due to a bad download or so signature mismatch..
You will have to see what the error statement is.. There would be a number like Error 7 or something.. Check that number and do a Google search for what that means... You will get an idea.. Most probably it is a bad download.. Changing recoveries will not fix it..
Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
He has a stock recovery from the E:/signature verification error. If he reads, he should be fine. Look at everyone that knows what they're doing, they read. Everyone makes mistakes, but you can lessen your chances by knowing what you're doing.
I've tried flashing it through rom manager, and it reboots into recovery and installs it, however the version in recovery and in rom manager is still 6.0.1.0.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong here.

Stop using rom manager! There's a very old sticky on this very subject a few posts above this one!
If you follow the install instructions in the OP of Render's thread, you'll be able to install the new recovery without issues. Read through the multiple pages if you seek other questions; that thread is heavily interactive and helpful, so it wouldn't be a bad idea for you to read through a few pages before you proceed.
But please stop using rom manager on the i777.

Well, you used ROM Manager, which has a sticky about it in this subforums. You need to install the Cyanogenmod 10.2 Nightly to get version 6.0.4.5 ( http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?device=i777 ), then flash his ROM and Kernel.

Ok, thank you for pointing me in the right direction, but I have a new question. How do I install a custom rom (in this case cyanogen 10.2) without a custom recovery installed? It seems like a chicken and the egg situation to me. I need to install a custom rom to get a custom recovery, but I have no custom recovery installed to install the custom rom.. to get the custom recovery. I do have the android sdk installed and mobile odin pro, but I haven't found any stickied threads that show how to use them to do this. I'd appreciate it if you or anyone else could explain a bit more thoroughly or link me to the proper threads. I've tried searching but haven't found any clear answers.
I also think the AOKP ROM is more appropriate for me than Cyanogen, but I still face the same problem in that I don't know *how* to install it without a custom recovery, which I can't get without installing a custom rom..
Edit: I found this link: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_i777
I will try to follow these instructions.

Why you refuse to search in these forms for the CORRECT way of getting exactly what you want is very unfortunate. If you read the OP of the CM thread, instead following external advice, you'll be in a much better situation.

Please let us know if you got this to work for you. I'm not sure what this installs on your phone, but on the SGH–I777, recovery is compiled into the kernel. Normally you would install a custom kernel that is compatible with your operating system. You can use mobile open Pro to do that. If you haven't got this done yet, let us know. We can help.

I *did* search, nothing relevant comes up. Why don't you, instead of telling me that I'm searching wrong, tell me what I should've been searching for. Maybe, before you go and tell someone they're not searching correctly and tell them to read a thread, you could go and actually read that thread yourself. The very first part of the instructions say this:
Make sure you are on CWM 6.0.4.4+ before flashing ROM! Thanks to @mr-cook you can now download and flash just the recovery/kernel!

That is what I am trying to figure out how to do, and the instructions in the "external advice" that I found in this case is the correct thing to do to get CWM. I found that by searching. If you want to send me on a wild goose chase instead of actually telling me or linking me to relevant threads, go ahead, but don't act like you're actually being helpful. *Nothing* in the CM thread shows me how to first install CWM. Not a damn thing.
Edit: I managed to get CWM installed by flashing the AJK 4.9 noswap kernel using mobile odin pro. I thought I messed it up because it was taking a long time for the boot animation to finish, but it worked.
Edit: except now my home and search keys don't work..

Well, after I last edited that post I installed the rom from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1574718
and everything is working fine now. I love it. I'm going to keep the kernel that is installed with it for now since I feel no need to use cyanogenmod just yet. This suits my purposes fine. I appreciate the help and advice.

Hi, if you are new to the rooting community, I would recommend downloading a pre-made recovery, as custom recoveries are rather difficult to make.
Hello, I just wanted to know what exactly caused the issues mentioned above. And if you fixed them please also mention the steps. I don't want to mess up my device so I wanted to know thanks.

We are not your servant!
The way you are asking is difficult to agree with.
I let you get needed skill with Google search. You get so many existing topics.
If you don't want to mess up your device, just use it as it was intended. Don't unlock the bootloader, don't install custom recovery, don't install custom ROMs, don't install Magisk or other root solutions.

For now there is no know way to unbrick the device other then a Authorize account from mi. You need to have a Authorize account or need to visit service center. Best way to not brick your device by double checking everything your going to do.
The only way to answer the question the way it was asked is:
If you have a bootloop, you made something wrong before.
It doesn't make sense to list here now every single thing that could lead you to a bootloop or a bricked phone.
When you are in such a situation, open a thread, write all possible details what you have done before the bootloop/brick, and hope someone could help. ?
First and most important thing: be sure if you have curtana or joyeuse device and be sure that the thing you wanna put on your device IS for that model.
I think that's a good start, cause Xiaomi still messing up the names of their different devices ?
But as written before, if you wanna be safe, don't play around with your device with rooting, flashing custom firmwares etc. ?

Yes indeed you are not my servent. But neither are those who make roms for us. And about that Google search . I have seen a lot of confusion like flashing wrong rom or not formatting data etc caused a issue. So I just wanted to know what went wrong with specific instructions of what not to do.

Okay I understand now. I think I will have to wait until a proper unbrick tutorial is out.
I have bricked a joyeuse it does not enter through any bootloader. I brickie it by loading twrp. By EDL gives; Sahara Fail Error In QFIL / Miflash Authorized Account I have tried loading all kinds of ROMs... Obviously I still need to test the one that works Help please! Thanks!
You need authorised account ie. you need to pay someone with that account to do the edl flashing.
