HI , I have an SII I9100 and I recently flashed CM 13 6.0 Marshmallow , but I can't access the recovery... to flash another rom..
I know that I can install a new recovery with odin but I have an issue with my phone and I can't connect it to PC ...
It's there any way to install recovery without odin??
I can't even install Google play... it's crashing every time I try to open it
Download an IsoRec compatible recovery on your SD card and flash it using CM Recovery.
Can't flash it...
"Apply update" -> "Chose from sdcard0" or "Apply from ADB"
Anything I chose it's doesn't work

Hello, i'm new here and barely understand about phone rooting. So here is my problem. I try to root my GS+ in recovery mode, but when chose "apply update from sd card" and after that selecting ROM zip file recovery mode says: Install /sdcard; Installation aborted and it happens with all ROMS. By the way im using default recovery mode (not ROM manager of something). So do you have any ideas how can i fix this problem? My firmware version is 2.3.6. :crying:
Are you want to root or flash a new ROM ? Try this way for rooting : Easyroot :good:
Hi folks,
I'm trying to get a new custom recovery on my phone. Im on FW 2.3.5.
I've downloaded Rom Manager, and all looks fine. When i try to boot into recovery mode to install a custom rom it doesnt say cwm recovery... it says Android recovery.... and i cant install a custom rom from there. Yes. My phone is rooted, and i granted Rom Manager SU access
It says in red..... E:failed to verify whole-file signature
E:signature verification failed
I'm sure if i first upgrade my FW to ICS or JB then there would be no problem.
However. Im affraid that if i update, my touch wont work. I broke my phone 2 months ago, and got it repaired. But the touch wouldnt work unless they downgraded it to 2.3.5. (a mainboard issue due to custom rom. They said)
I really want to try to have a custom rom and see if the touch works in here, or if im stuck using FW 2.3.5
Do i need a new kernel where the CWM recovery is already included or what?
Model: GT-I9100
Current kernel: XWKI8
Edit
Is it possible for me to flash with a custom rom differently?
Maybe connect to Odin and press the "phone" button and choose a custom rom? Or another program.
Sorry if this is a stupid question, but im kinda new to this

Don't use ROM Manager, as it is not fully compatible with our phone.
You have to flash a kernel containing the CWM recovery you want/need, or alternatively you can flash only the (temporaily) CWM recovery.
Have a lok here => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=28178105
In first post Method 1 > Instruction 2.
Just download and flash "cwm-touch-6.0.1.2-i9100.zip" in stock recovery:
1. Put the previously downloaded cwm-touch-6.0.x.x-i9100.zip file on your external sd card.
2. Boot into stock recovery (volume up+home+power), and select "apply update from external storage". Now select the cwm-touch-6.x.x.x-i9100.zip file you copied in previous step (this step gives a temporary flash that will disappear after reboot)
You get CWM recovery interface (this custom recovery is temporary, not permanent)
3. Inside CWM, select "install zip from sdcard". Then, select "choose zip from sdcard". Now, scroll down to the custom ROM zip file and hit power button to install it.
Good luck !

Hello guys. First, I have to say that I'm not experienced with android phone modifications. I am trying to get NeatROM into my phone, but I can't set up custom recovery mod. I tried both CWM and TWRP.
This is my third time I am re-installing the ROM, first I have done it with ODIN second time with CWM recovery, but now I can only enter "Android system recovery <3e>" where there isn't an option "Install Rom SD card".
I don't know how CWM recovery got replaced with stock recovery mod,but I am suspicions that it happened during latest Samsung "Software update" via Kies.
I tried to flash CWM and TWRP recoveries via their apps, but when the phone booted, there was always stock recovery mod. I also tried to flash recovery mod via Android SDK, following manual on phonearena.com, but got stucked on 3rd step- when I typed in "adb reboot bootloader" my phone only restarted and it did not enter bootloader.
Please, can you help to flash the stock recovery mod, so I can install new ROM, or is there other way to get it into my phone and then flash the recovery mod?
Never mind, I was able to flash CWM recovery with Odin, following the steps on androidlegend[dot]com. Then it let me to install NeatROM.
Hi,
I successfuly rooted smartphone, but then i tried to install new rom with rom manager I see message "no command". When I try to install the rom through recovery i see "install zip sd card" option. Any attempt to install ROM using Revocery fails with the error "installation aborted". I read on the forums that I need to update CWM Recovery but i can't find CWM for my model. My actually Recovery version is "Android system recovery <3e>". If You can help me in any way? I need any recovery
Thank You!
There's no prebuilt CWM Recovery for Tracer Oxygen GS3. You'd have to build it yourself.
I found an updated ROM and tools to upload it to your phone on the ftp_colon_slash_slash_megabajt_dot_com_dot_pl_slash_Oxygen_Updates_slash_OxygenGS3_20140527.rar
Good luck!
