Its just a clear plastic firm. Go get yourself a glass screen protector.

After I put a decent tempered glass protector on it was way better. No fingerprints at all really and it just feels much better.
I think you misread my message: I have dust under the glass and the screen, not under the screen protector.What I wanted to know was if the the screen and the glass were bonded together or not.

I want to buy screen protectors (for both front and back panel). Which is better plastic or tempered glass? What experiences have you got with them? And what manufacturers do you recommend? I want a screen protector that hasn't got large cuts around the camera, just a circle for the camera and another for the flash, and on the front also just a circle for the camera and another for the sensors.
I have the this Glass-M tempered protector. Both friend and back. Haven't had any issues with it for the last one year. The main advantage is that this is slim enough to work with the magnetic dock.

Tempered Glass is better for protection than film screen protectors.

It's just for the front and not for the back. I want screen protectors for both front and back.

If u are using a case, i recommed you the Nillkin 9H tempered glass. Come with the regular plastic for protecting the back and the camera lens. Why? If u are a case user, i dont think tempered glass back will fit ur case.
Honestly, they're all the same, I burnt through the lot of them, Nilkin, Pthink, Hero. They're all the same, I see no difference in quality and durability. I think the Pthink was most resistant to fingerprints, but not by much

I don't use a case so, I don't like them
I prefer pthink and it does fit the tpu case that I use at work.

I prefer matte/anti-glare screen protectors. Main reason, on glass and glossy plastic surfaces, after using for a while (15-20 minutes), my fingers start to "stick" to the glass. Not really stick, per se, but they don't glide as easily and I have to switch to a different finger. With a matte protector, I never have this issue. Also, they help cut down on reflections. There are draw backs of course. It makes the screen hard to see outdoors (but I rarely use my phone outdoors) and it does reduce brightness a little (but I don't really go over 30% or so when indoors anyway). And they do introduce a touch of graininess.
The best ones I have found are iLLumiShield and Anker. Though the Anker is the best I have used, it is not available on the Z2. I have tried many other matte films, but they all introduce too much graininess. And some affect touch response.

i bought the same tempered glass, no problem at all.
The camera has it's own cut and the back fits as it should..ask for a refund or a resend..
The case thread got me thinking about tempered glass screen protectors and I wondered what folks where grabbing in preparation for the phone's launch.
I've had friends use Nillkin with no problems so that's what I bought, but this phone is a lot of firsts for me so I'm sure there will be some lessons involved

I just peeled the thin screen protector off and installed the OMOTON protecter. You have to gently use fingernail and peel uo from bottom. I think it was nice of Honor to put something on screen but theirs is more to prevent scratch where hopefully this thicker one will help with a drop also.
It was pretty easy to install and push air bubbles out to make it look natural.
Installed this on two phones last night. Man it is so much better. Amazing difference.
I bought the Sparin 9H Premium Tempered Glass Screen Protector. And this thing is crazy. i can hardly even feel it on the phone but it is extremely strong.
I pre-ordered my honor 5X from Amazon and at that time they didn't carry this on Prime.

How does it protect the back camera? It's one piece of glass for the front screen.

The factory installed screen protector is really bad for oily finger prints. I took it off and the naked glass is better not nearly as bad as the screen protector.
I compared the glass on the 5x to the glass on my Moto X 2014 and they look exactly the same as far as oily finger prints. Now my daughter has a Blu Vivo 5 and that screen is amazing hardly pics up any greasy
prints at all.
I ordered the Omoton glass and have not installed it yet, but the Nillkin does look better as it has individual cutouts for the camera and speaker.
So the Omoton did not fit well? did it just not go all the way to the edges? maybe I will order the Nillkin as well , it's only 9 bucks
Should have picked up the one for the camera lens. It scratched and cracked with a case on it...:crying:

I got the one from spigen on amazon. It comes with 2 in the pack, it fits perfectly and not a lot of fingerprints.

Yes, comes with a quality, thin glass screen protector pre-installed from the factory. Oleophobic coating is present.

Did you scratch it easily with a metal object? Mine feels like a piece of glass with oleophobic coating on it.
EDIT: Mine is glass. Does not scratch with a kitchen knife (plastic would). If you're saying it's "definitely plastic", please post proof.

I accidentally installed an actual glass protector overtop because I didn't realize it had a screen protector from the factory. So I took both off and the factory installed one bent and folded like plastic. It was a nice plastic protector though.
It should be a glass protector
My x829 came with a cheap plastic one. Ripped it off immediately as don't like feel of plastic protectors. Though I never buy screen protectors as prefer my phones naked :silly:
My x829 also has a plastic one from the factory (with the thin film you discard over it and the rest of the phone.)

I just bought to me Huawei P10. I would like to ask, does the the phone come already with a screen protection? If yes what kind of glass is that?
After removing the plastic protection i noticed that there is a small glass or protection (very thin but is there) on the top of the screen. After applying a tempered glass on the top of it, because it is slightly bigger than that protection, there is a bubble of air all around the borders of the tempered glass.
So can anyone tell me what kind of glass is that that comes with the phone? It is easy to take it off? Should i substitute it by a tempered glass?

It has Corning Gorilla 5 but no oleophobic coating under the factory preinstalled film, which is easily scratched. I have already removed mine and using this glass https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=75089574&postcount=32 it is not a full screen but it is not too big and aplies well with no gaps.
Are people really removing that "Corning Gorilla 5" glass and replacing for a different one? Is not good enough? or is one of those debatable things?

I dont see how you can remove the Corning Gorilla 5 screen and use a glass screen protector on it. you have to have the screen on to put on the protector.

I had it 10 days without case and glass. It had a few falls on my wooden floor nothing happened. Now i have it protected though.i think it has gorilla glass 5 that is decent protection

As far as I could inform, there is only scratch resistant glass on the screen, no website mention to have some kind of Gorilla Glass.
What kind of protection are you using? Full screen glass (as they say, 3D) with coloured sides, flat glass or film?
I tried three kinds of film (even from Nillkin) but neither of them glued completely on the sides and the smears from fingers were terrible.

I have a simple glass dont remember the firm . And a light blue meizu case. About the nilikin films you said i have one applied to my mia1 i found with a case . smears are an issue but it glued ok .
