Hi All. I have a problem with my ultra and maybe someone can help me solve it I want to install the phone to my car so I can use it as a sat nav and i cant find a way to make it turn on when charging. I rooted it and I couldn't find the playlpm or lpm file to edit it so i found somewhere a note to change the chargemon file but it gets stuck on the booting screen and i need to flash it now. Anyone knows maybe which file i need to change ?
PS. sorry for my english but its not my native language . Thanks for understanding
Settings, display, wake on plug
but I need to get it turned on from the point that its completely turned off.

Thought about doing this at one point but pretty sure it's a no-go. Instead, just buy a N7 for really cheap now. You can enter a terminal command that changes the resolution/usable portion of the screen to make the display the same size as the ZU or whatever size you want. This worked perfectly for me because my radio opening is 1.5 DIN.

Bought a touch pro knowing that the backlight on the screen works, but that the actual screen doesn't. I've tried connecting it to the computer and it said it that the phone needs to be unlocked first...i was going to see if I could unstall SOTI on there and use the computer to view the screen and stuff...i've tried hard resets and I'm lost can anyone help.
Bad screen or flex cable
Open and close the handset while it is turned on, if it flickers or you see any color or shape goasting then the flex cable is needs replacing.
If you can see the backlight on, and nothing changes then look for impact damage, usually something/somone fell on it.
If no damage markings, then the unit is probably locked, an no one knows the code.
Contact seller for more info?
I haven't try to recover a locked TP yet.
But, If your up to trying something. Find the correct "Service Provider" up-date or original shipped ROM from HTC support, this forum or PPCGeeks.com.
With the shipped .exe ROM packages, the TP can be put in bootloader and "Clean Flashed" without needing to be unlocked or add anything.
This how updated ROM are delivered and installed from HTC.
Hope this bit of info helps. I have the Last Alltel .exe if you need it.
Thanks for the info but sadly that didn't work. The loader says it can't establish a connection.
Well update got the phone to hard reset and now it's unlocked can anyone walk me though what happens after the hard reset. Like after the hard reset what screens show up show that i can set this up without the screen and use my SOTI program to view the screen on the computer

Here is the thing. The rom is going to start up doing the initial setup (calibration, time zone selection, etc). Mymobiler might work better since it installs via activesync and connects to the device the moment you plug it in. Give that a go and see if it works.
Thank you i will try that
Probably not the right place to ask but is there someway i can install a program on the phone without any kind of input from myself...ie putting mymobiler or similar cab file and having it run it when i inserted the memory card and i not having to make any kind of inputs on the screen? seeing as i can't see anything?

If you put an autorun file in the root of the card pointing to that cab, you should be able to do this. However, the device will ask you if you want to install to memory or storage. I guess if you simply press the "Enter" button (circle in the D-pad), it might just do it.
My Vibrant fell this morning face down flat on the screen, I picked it up and was happy to see that the gorilla screen was perfect, not a scratch on it, but that turned to disappointment when I went to turn on the phone and saw a purple hue across my screen, but things were still visible but barely.
About 30 mins later, the screen is now not visible at all except for a small line near the bottom that is very bright (almost seems like the entire image of the screen is squished into this thin line).
Here is the problem. I need some of the stuff that is on my phone but have a pattern lock-screen on it and I cannot see the screen to put the pattern in, I have tried numerous times and get nothing. I was thinking if I can get it hooked up to a PC I can copy everything off. Is there some other way to maybe boot the phone in a mode to connect to a PC?
Other alternative is to buy just a screen and replace it with my broken one. Does anyone know where I can buy just a screen? I don't want to spend too much because I am a couple weeks away from getting the new Galaxy S II when it releases on T-Mobile Oct. 12th, I don't care to completely fix this Vibrant, I just want my data/apps off of it.
Thanks for any help.

I just need instructions on how to boot into ADB mode without being able to see the screen at all. Can someone please help?
Thanks!
Assuming your phone is rooted and have USB debugging enabled you can always try using "Droid Explorer" for windows. Within this program you can copy files without having to mount your sd card...you just need to have USB debugging enabled though otherwise it will not work. You can also access an emulator within this program called android screencast which will basically emulate your phone allowing you to navigate through your phone with ease. Your best option will be to download this Droid Explorer program for windows or you can also try adb but I don't know the commands so sorry.
Hi guys, hoping for some SuperUser help...
Using the GPS Time application to try and get my Omate TrueSmart to update the time after the battery dies (I can't believe the device can't hold enough power to maintain its internal clock, that's a terrible design flaw in a watch, but anyway)
The problem is that the GPS Time app pops up the SuperUser dialogue asking me to give it permissions--but the dialogue is too big for the screen and there's no OK button visible! How do you handle this on the TrueSmart?

Thanks to both of you!
Open SuperSU and look on the first tab 'Application', Touch the #
Change 'Acces' to Allow
then save
False move on SU, now TS won't complete booting
I have a TrueSmart 1/8, US version, developers edition, with most up to date rom and with Loki's patch.
I wish I had read this thread a few minutes sooner. I was trying to install the gestures app GMD gestures I think it was and kept running into the same superuser problem. So went into settings for superuser and hit yes to have it installed I think in the system. I can't really tell you now because I can't get back into the watch at all.. I know it said to reboot immediately after and that if SU did not show up to go to the Google play store to reinstall or to open it from there or something...I'm not sure what. In any event, after SU did its thing, I powered off and on powering back on, it will not get past the Omate TrueSmart screen. Nor can I turn it off. Can anybody help me? For now I have it in the cradle so it doesn't lose power, since I cannot turn it off.
I know I can take the battery out, but I wanted to consult before I do anything more.

If you had ADB enabled, try plugging into your computer and see if you can launch an adb shell which will give you more restoration options. You may be able to undo your changes from the command line, or at the least reboot into recovery mode.
Without ADB, your options are to pull the battery or wait till it drains naturally.

What program should I have open on my PC before connecting watch (or is that a sensible question)?
New patch coming out this weekend to address that.

Just a follow-up to the above, in case anyone lands in the same place, I did take the back off, remove the battery for just a moment, and then put the back back on. (I doubted, since it was frozen, that connecting to my PC would help, so i didn't try that. ) To my delight, everything was as I had left it, save that the gestures GMD app now loaded. (I made my font small, as recommended above, and was able to ok super user this time.) I had expected after removing the battery, to have to rebuild/reload everything from scratch, but that didn't happen.
Thanks to all for your help.
Hello,
I am working on a research project in which I need this phone to run continuously. However once the phone loses charge, Someone has to press the power button to turn it back on. I need the phone to power on without any human interaction. After looking at other forum posts, I found that I needed to modify the phones system settings. However i do not know which file in the system folder needs to be modified. The only thing that runs when the phone is off is the charging light. What file runs this charging light when the phone is off? or Is there a different file that runs when the phone is off? or Is there another way to make my phone do this? My phone is an HTC Evo 4g, It is also rooted.
Any help is appreciated

I don't think so, i know few apps but they require few taps on a screen.... Im not even sure even if you connect, you see normal screen... i tried almost same thing with my laptop and external monitor, when they both show same desktop, and if i set main monitor, i turn it off manually and same happens to my screen on the laptop... its almost same thing with your phone...
