So I had a moto e with it's bootloader unlocked, and had a custom ROM running on it; however without my knowledge, someone gave the phone to a local (unauthorized )service center. I am not sure about what they did but after this incident, I get the Bootloader unlocked warning when it powers on, but then it directly goes to the fastboot menu saying that there was a fall through in the normal boot-up procedure, and 'system image validation failed'. However I was able to boot into android by rebooting a number of times. But recently, when it did boot up after several attempts the IMEI numbers were gone, so it wouldn't recognize my SIM cards.
I should also mention that the fastboot menu says that the phone is LOCKED. I tried using fastboot, but i cannot even get the unlock code info, or unlock the bootloader itself.
At this point, what do I do? Do I try flashing the same firmware again?
Thank You.
Try flashing the stock firmware :fingers-crossed: Best of Luck!
Hit Thanks if I Helped!!!!!!!!!!!

Hello everyone.
I own Motorola Atrix 4g AT&T with 2.3.4 / 4.5.91 Build.
I have read every single thread about Unlocking the bootloader yet I still cannot do it.
First I tried directly the fastboot unlock command for unlocking it but I had an error saying that OEM Unlock is not implemented. Thats OK since the stock bootloader isnt unlockable. So I downloaded RSD Lite as well as the two SBF files (the small pudding and the huge pudding (full version) of AT&T unlockable/pre root) Here is where I got stuck! I have the drivers properly installed and I tried both Windows7 and WindowsXP still i cant get past the boot logo. Here is the situation.
I connect the Phone in RSD Mode. In RSD Lite it shows as NS Flash Olympus and stays connected. When I load the SBF file and press start it gets to 100%. Then phone reboots and RSD Lites says that its waiting for phone to re-enumeration and after a while it gets the error message: Phone[0000]: Phone did not re-enumerate after RAM-downloader was sent.. Phone is still stuck on the Moto Logo untill I remove the battery. If I remove the battery Phone starts.
Am I missing something?
As far as I remember, once you flash pudding the phone will indeed seem unusable. Immediately after flashing pudding you need to go into fastboot and run the oem unlock commands, then you need to flash a custom recovery, then boot into recovery and flash a custom ROM. You miss any of these steps and the phone will very likely not boot.

The problem is that i cannot flash pudding since I get an error message after the extracting process when the phone is suppose to reboot and flash itself. It just reboots and stays with Motorola logo (RSD Lites gives me the error) and phone freezes untill I remove battery. After that when I power on the phone it just loads normally.
So the problem is that I cannot flash pudding.... simply because phone dosnt reenumerate after reboot....
Bump ...
I want to add that the phone dosnt have backlight in boot menus (ak. background light is turned off but i can still see the options in boot menus)
Also I am not able to install OTA Updates I get a triangle on the screen and phone boots into os with failed to update message.
Else phone is fully functional. I havnet done anything except rooting the phone and doing the tethering and webtop over hdmi hack.

Hello,
I have a lg p760 L9 V20i-eur-xx which has locked bootloader and I cannot unlock it no matter what I try. Also I made the mistake to try to flash cwm recovery and now I'm stuck at Lg security error. I can still get into sw/upgrade mode but that is far as it goes. I tried so far LG flashtool, no succes, kdz flashing no succes. Smartflash no succes. It seems like nothing works. I was using win 7 x64.
Is there any feaseble way that I can recover my phone and get rid of the LG security error?
Is there any way to unlock the bootloader?
Thank you very much I know most of you are sick of it but please help me ...it's my only phone and I'm lost without it. Thanks in advance.
By the way, how can I check if my bootloader is just locked or encrypted. If it's encrypted then I believe there is no chance of succeding.
Factory reset. Simultaneously press power, menu and volume up or down, the other position bringing up recovery.
I had unlocked the bootloader long ago, but had to re-root a couple if days ago in the process of updating baseband. I could update the rooted rom with LG's service flash tool w/o losing apps and settings, surprisingly, but could not get adb to work with Win8.1 x64. Trying to invoke fastboot menu on the phone earned me the factory reset, now all was gone and still no root and no way to recover anything. No problems with adb on the netbook running Win7 x64, however.
I have an similar issue here. But somehow is triggered suddenly (means I no do nothing specially, at a time I tried to install CWRM, the QuickBoot, and after I assumed that is not clear for me how to unlock bootloader, let it as it is). But starting to Saturday I have random reboots/shutdowns, random LG security error boot screens, I performed an factory reset, and now I am stuck.
Now I am on a "S/W Upgrade" "please wait while upgrading..." from more than a half hour (initiated from LG User Support Tool.
Hello All!
I got my LG L9 (P765) brick and need your help. It wasn't unlocked or rooted. Also it has original ROM.
It happened after ordinary phone call. The only thing i saw was "LG" lable. After all common methods i tried hard reset and got dead android on the screen with red triangle. Some hours later i flashed new boot, u-boot and recovery but nothing happens. The KDZ method was done today with no positive results after V10 and V20 instalations (even with hard resets). Custom recovery upload results in "Security Error" on title screen.
So guys please help me. What else can be done to make it load at least recovery? Is it possible to root or unlock such device?
If you have locked bl and device is nonrooted you can service your smartphone in LGe services.
L9 is hard to unlock, but you can go into LG recovery by power volume up and home, smartphone will be connected as recovery. By adb you can writte "adb reboot oem-unlock" to enter fastboot mode and unlock bootloader. If your phone will just restart, try this method few times. After you unlock bootloader you will able to flash custom recovery and chance kernel, install custom rom etc.
i have this same trouble and this is not help...
I don’t know what happened to my phone, but I booted up the phone and I get the error in the picture below. The boot loader is locked and I can’t unlock it, it says “flashing unlock is not allowed “ and I can’t access download mode or any mode except boot loader.
So is there anyway to revive my phone again? Maybe force unlock boot loader or flashing stock bios using fastboot?
Thank you for your time.

Press and hold power key to continue
You probably pressed power button which paused it from going further
That's the ugly Red safety warning, not the benign yellow one. As I understand, this is what happens if the bootloader is locked and one of the partitions fails its security check. All partitions must be completely stock when the bootloader is locked.
@runningnak3d described this somewhere, and I seem to recall it's a hard brick, or at least pretty hard. But I hope I'm wrong
I was trying to rootkit it, but on the last step I got locked in to a fastboot-loop, I eventually got out of it and was able to "install through ADB" through the OTA Oriole software.
Trying to rootkit it again, I messed up and got stuck on the same loop, but when I try to "install through ADB" the OTA file loads up 50% and I get the error "Current SPL 2021-11-05 Target SPL: 2021-10-05 this is considered a downgrade.
Denying SPL because it's SPL downgrade" and it aborts the installation.
Now whenever I try to boot, I get a "your phone is corrupted" message, I press power to continue, I get a message "your phone security is compromised" in orange, than I press power and it hangs on the Google logo on a white screen.
I can still get in to fastboot and all the options.
No idea what to try next.
If I took it to where I bought it, would they send it off to Google and they can fix it? Or do I have a brand new $1150 paperweight?

When you're in "fastboot" mode, can you still see your device name when you type in fastboot devices?
If so, then you still should be able to fastboot the latest factory image by following one of the outstanding guides by:
@Homeboy76 here.
Or
@V0latyle here.
Best of luck to you.

Your phone isn't bricked until you're completely unable to do anything.
Is your bootloader unlocked?
You should be able to sideload the OTA, as long as you aren't already on the newest firmware. Make sure you use the latest one.
Sideloading the OTA is the only way I know of to fix the corrupted screen; if that doesn't work, you're going to have to perform a whole flash of the factory image, and likely have to wipe. You can do this using the Android Flash Tool, but this requires an unlocked bootloader.
Since you essentially caused this problem yourself, it is likely you would have to pay for repair or RMA. So, let's see if we can help you fix it yourself first.

When you say you were trying to "rootkit it", do you mean you were trying to root it with Magisk? Or some other method? You should only use Magisk if you were trying some other method. I'm assuming you weren't trying to give yourself a virus
In addition to what the others have said, if you go the Android Flash Tool method you have to have OEM unlocking enabled it Developer Options. If you do, the flash tool will unlock your bootloader during the process so you don't have to unlock it manually beforehand. If it is grayed out in the disabled mode, you'll have to sideload the OTA, as stated earlier, or try factory resetting if you can.
Good luck...
I did something to mine where it would be stuck in a loop, wouldnt boot, I was able to get it into download mode, and then I flashed it back to stock from the google factory images website, then rerooted it. Been fine since.
Mine fast softbricked as well like 2 weeks ago.
I used the android flash tool to get back to stock rom again and after that I rooted it again. But you need an unlocked bootloader for that method.
Edit: Link to the flash tool
