Just pre ordered my S7 edge and I'm looking for a case. Protection is priority 1. Not too concerned about size.

Looking for an S7 edge screen protector that has actually been verified to fit the edge correctly. Been looking all day with no luck. Amazon is full of junk reviews that are bogus

I have a case on my S6 that I want to use on my brand new S7 that I ordered, will it fit?
Yes, but not all of the cutouts will line up properly (i.e., headphone port). I am using a S6 case on mine temporarily until my S7 case is delivered in a few days.

As f308 said, the cutouts (especially the headphone port) are slightly misaligned.
Also, if you're looking at using a higher-end case, something like an OtterBox Defender of Lifeproof Fre, note that you'll have a problem with the buttons -- the S6 Defender's power and volume buttons are slightly off, and will cause the S7 to bootloop.
I have been on my Note 4 for a while. I was waiting to get the Note 7 as I need a bigger screen. With all the Note 7 issues.... looks like it will be a long wait.
I am trying to decide if I should just jump to the 7 edge or wait.
I need a hard case that allows wireless recharge, and tempered glass. I have been reading every where and it looks like this may be what keeps me in my note 4.
I need a larger screen so the regular s7 is too small.
I don't use the stylus very much so that is not an issue.
I read big sticky thread and seems a tempered glass that covers the whole phone is VERY much expensive AND it appears I cant use a hard case.
Any help would be nice. What case works with a reasonably priced tempered glass that covers the whole screen. If I have to give up wireless charging I will.
Thanks.
I can only speak for the vanilla S7 (as this is an S7 forum) but I use the Nillkin hard textured case. I've literally tried about 20 before I settled on it. It allows fitment of the Ultimate Shield Tempered Glass screen protector (with about 1/2mm clearance) and also allows wireless charging. The case is also very minimal and discrete but gives good coverage and protection and adds superb grip in the hand. I won't be buying another case until the phone's sold.

Hi.
I remember when I had s6 edge that there was an issue with samsung s6 clear view cover as it coused scratches to the screen.
Do you have any similar problems with clear view cover for s8? Id9 like to buy it but I don't like to have any screen protectors applied.

I have/use the Samsung Clear View case with my S8+. I too do not use a screen protector. I've seen no scratches on the screen so far.
The case is nice but it is just as bad of a "fingerprint magnet" as the naked device. I really did prefer the S-View case implementation on my Note 5 and Note 7.
This is a large and slippery phone without a case. I bought a generic one on Amazon with good grip and I like the cutout where one can put one's index finger for more balance. It doesn't seem to impact the edge functionality either.

There isn't much when it comes to cases and this device, which sucks if you ask me. I ended up buying an OtterBox symmetry case. At a Verizon store because I couldn't find it on eBay or Amazon

I found Amazon to be the best place to purchase my cases
I got a slim hard case on Amazon and it works great - covers corners well; doesn't bother edges:
