Odin can't detect my phone after rooting. - Galaxy S III Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone, this is my first time to post here. I would be grateful if you would guide me in this forum. : )
So this is my problem...
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 (SHV-E210K) running on KitKat 4.4.4.
I wanted to install a Custom rom so I did some research on downloading and installing one. I found out that I needed to root my phone first before being able to install the rom, so I found this CF Autoroot for this specific model. I successfully installed it and rooted my phone using Odin v3.10.6. I already downloaded the custom rom and as I try to get my phone to Download mode, it says:
ODIN MODE
PRODUCT NAME: SHV-E210K
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: Yes (1 counts)
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
Secure Download: Enabled
KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 1
RP SWREV: A2
I don't know what to do to install the rom. If I won't be able to install the rom, I would just like to revert everything and be able to use odin mode so if something fails in the future, I could use Odin to flash my phone...
Btw, I can use my phone entirely as a normal operating phone except only for that Odin or download mode.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance and have a good day everyone!

sgs3 I can not install any rom

hello everybody
I have a problem I can not install any rom because I do not have installed ClockWorkMod recovery . I can not install CWM because my phone rom
hangs on samsung logo . in download mode show current binary : custom, system status: custom flash through odin stock firmware show current
binary : official system status: custom and still hangs on samsung logo maybe someone has a problem solution?
You have to root your phone first so u can get cwm working on ur phone. Search on google how to root
Sent from my GT-I9300 using xda premium
You need to flash CWM recovery or a kernel bundling it through Odin.
Btw, "any rom" is not correct; several are installed through Odin (mostly the stock ones)

[Q] Unbrick Phone? PLease Help :c

Hi everyone. I'm really new at rooting and flashing and I've managed to soft brick my Galaxy S3 SPH-L710. It gets stuck in a bootloop of cyangenmod and the Samsung logo. I first used CF-auto root, and then installed CWM Recovery on my phone, and just tonight I tried to install Cyangenmod and this happened. I know I screwed up and have made some really dumb beginner mistakes. Anyone know how to help? My download mode shows as follows:
Product Name: SPH-L710
Custom Binary Download: Yes (3 Counts)
Current Binary: Custom
Current Status: Custom
Qualcomm Secureboot: Enable.
I haven't attempted anything yet out of fear of making things worse. I can still get into CWM Recovery and everything if needed.

though, try this tip:factory reset from recovery. if still the same persists, flash a stock firmware via odin.

[Q] Problems with rooting

Hey there. I want to install CM11 to my I9205 but I can't seem to root it. I've read most of the threads about it, but nothing works for me. It just shows me a security warning from KNOX and SuperSU says that there is no binary installed.

You probabely have OTA update recently... now you have ROM with Samsung KNOX security system and with new bootloader. If you want to root your Mega and you are willing to accept irreversible tripping Knox counter (= warranty void) you can find many tutorials how to root ypour phone and disable Knox. Basically it needs essentially to instal custom recovery using Odin and then installing Super user from recovery. But ask yourself the troble to find exact procedure.
Note: now you can not downgrade your firmware to version without Knox. Any attempt will end in bricking your phone.
So if you want CM11 you have to root (with tripping flash counter = warranty void), installing custom recovery CWM or TWRP and then installing CM11 ROM nad choosen version of gapps (ROMs AOKP or CN type are lacked all Google apps so if you wnat it you have to flash it separately)

Thanks for the reply. I've managed to install a custom recovery, but I can't seem to make the root work. I have tried both CWM and TWRP, and still can't get SuperSU to work properly.

try to use this information.
As I said in other place - in such situation the best way is to start completely anew:
- Download firmware (e.g from Sammobile)
- Install it by Odin
- Install custom recovery
- Root phone
In provided links you should find detailed description how to do it. Bear in mind so for successfull installing custom rom's you HAVE TO disable KNOX e.g as is decribed there

Good luck

HELP! Need help restoring Galaxy Note 8.0 GT-5110

Okay so my device is soft bricked, I get the "Firmware encountered an issue" message, and I can only go into download mode. I'm trying to restore to a stock 4.4.2 firmware via Odin but it always fails. I realized its because my current binary is custom and it says system status is custom. Knox warrenty void: 1. Anybody can tell me what I'm doing wrong and need to do? I initially rooted it with CF-Auto-Root-konawifi-konawifixx-gtn5110 btw

[Q] Can't seem to flash Stock Firmware with Odin

I am playing around with my old S3 and decided to root and load custom firmware. I was dumb and rooted via towelroot then installed Clockwork Recovery... before reading up on the fact that my S3 running 4.4.2 (Build I535VRUDNE1) has a locked bootloader. Whoops. Now my recovery seems to be bricked (Yellow Verizon triangle warning of unauthorized software).
I have followed the steps in this thread to flash the stock recovery using ODIN 3.09. I don't get any error messages and it appears successful within ODIN, but when I try to boot into recovery afterwards, I get the same yellow Verizon triangle.
For what it's worth, Odin mode is showing my binary count as 2 ("BOOTLADER RP SWREV: 2")
What am I doing wrong?
