Hi developers,
Sorry if I am posting my question in the wrong thread. I am having a bit of problem with the Statusbar icons in my tab. There is an ugly space between the WiFi and Airplane Mode icons in my Statusbar. I want to move them (if possible) or remove the space so that it looks better. I can I searched nearly everywhere but cannot find a solution.
I Tried Flat Style Icons, but it removes the stock icons and messes up the Statusbar, , also tried Xstana but the space does not go. Also tried copying SystemUI using file manager and tried opening it with WinRar but gives error and none of the SystemUi files exist in it.
Tried extracting SystemUI using adb, but it gave error regarding root access it says the following:
"remount of system failed permission denied", or "device not found", even when the device is connected
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Screenshot attached below.
Device Details: Lenovo Tab S8-50LC
ROM: Stock Lollipop 5.0.2

I was trying to change icons of status bar in my rooted Neo with android 4.0.04 using NinjaMorph, I replaced (using copy paste) a lot of Icons (battery), the app made the apk and said that everything ok (I didn't applied zip), but the status bar didn't disappeared as it should be, even so couple programs stopped working, after rebooting nothing happened! but for may surprise, after decompiling Framework-res.apk the new icons are really in it in drawable-hdi folder! It's really strange, what I did wrong and why android doesn't use this file? I tried this couple times and erased Davilink cache but in vain, any ideas?

I mean really ... how hard it is to understand the diference between the THEMES & APPS section with the Q&A section ?
Q & A means question & answer.
Go there ... ask and you will have your answer. Here the only thing you managed is to report the thread and bother one admin to move it to the correct place or delete it.
In case anybody will need it, the actual icons that needs to be replaced are in SystemUI.apk, also note that Ninjamorph doesn't decrypt XML files, so except the icons you really can't change anything else with it.
I've used the search, but I found only a guide, but it doesn't work...
so, I ask another time your help.
I want to change the status bar icons (for example, the icon who appears when you insert the headphones) and the toggle icons (for example the toggle for put on wifi, hotspot, bluetooth, and much more).
I tried to download sdk tools, jdk, and apk tools.
I took the original SystemUI.apk with the root explorer, I extracted it with apktool (I've inserted "apktool d SystemUI.apk"). This systemui is for cm 7.2.
I extracted another SystemUI.apk, which is for stock roms (2.3.6), I went on res/drawable-mdpi and I took 2 wifi icons (on and off, there was the icons for the wifi toggle). So, I resized them with GIMP, because there was 70x70, and in the SystemUI for the cm 7 the toggle icons are 36x36. I've insered even the trasparent background.
So, I copied these icons in the res/drawable-mdpi of the SystemUI for the CM 7 and I return back to the .apk file ("apktool b SystemUI").
I put it in my phone, I put on system/app with root explorer, I've assigned the right permissions, but when I rebooted the phone, there was any status bar! But I think I do all correctly, because I resized the files 36x36, and I didn't touch anything.
Anyone can help me?
again, sorry for my bad english.

I'm running 4.4.2 on nexus 5. All I'm trying to do is put a custom carrier logo image in the top left of my status bar. I used the method in this thread- http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-s/themes-apps/mods-guides-theme-ref-ics-mods-t1365810 to do it. Although this is for ICS roms specifically, I compared both status_bar.xml's from KK and ICS and they are VERY simlar. So I figured this would work. I like to do most of my themeing with the use of zip themer so I built a custom image (yes, its the correct size) called "carrier_logo.png" and stuck it my drawable-xxhdpi folder and added that line of code to my status_bar.xml and flashed the update.zip. When I reboot, the phone is in chaos and I get a repeated message over and over that systemUI has stopped, plus my status bar is completely gone lol. I'm assuming that line of code is just not compatible with KK systemui. So...how do I go about calling an image from my drawable-xxhdpi folder into the status bar's top left corner from my status_bar.xml?
Anybody? I keep trying different methods and SystemUI keeps crashing on me.
I DAMAGED MY SYSTEMUI.APK WHILE MODIFYING MY NAV KEYS.

2.NO NAVIGATION BAR
3.CANNOT CHANGE WALLPAPER.
4.CANNOT TAKE SCREENSHOT BY VOL UP AND LOCK KEY
