Hello everyone.
I'm having some trouble updating my cm 12.1 custom nightly on my LG G3 vs985.
I have tried flashing the 23c modem to my phone, but I had no luck.
Here is what it gave me

CM requires the24B or 35B baseband, just like it says in the error message. Flash one of those.

If you are using SafeStrap recovery to flash the rom you can turn off the md5 check. You can probably do similar in other recovery apps, but I'm not familiar with them.

Try TWRP 2.6.3.3. If you are trying to update your phone you can not do that with a custom recovery! You need stock recovery, stock rom and possiblily some /preload/ apps that were erased during the unlock procedure.

What custom rom are you trying to install?
Where did you get it?
Also, did you check the MD5 checksum to see if the download was corrupt?
im currently on Android Revo HD 71.1 trying to upgrade to CM 11 Nightly and I get everything from this site or the official site I don't know how to check the checksum to see if its bad.

Since you are getting a signature error that means you are trying to install a file that is the wrong type for your phone. Are you getting this error in TWRP or on your computer?
Have you tried the CyanogenMod installer? Here are some points to consider when using the installer:
Back up your data!
Back up your data. Did I say this already? Backups made in recovery are not safe unless they are made to a true external sdcard. If you want to go back to stock, make preparations for doing so before running the installer.
Use a high-quality USB cable. A cable that works for charging won't necessarily work reliably for data transfer. The OEM cable that came with your phone should be a good choice, but if the connector has been stressed often enough almost any cable can become unreliable.
Don't move your phone while installing. After you click 'Install', unless you need to unlock your bootloader or interact with the phone for some reason, leave it on a level surface with as little strain on the USB cable as possible until the install is complete.
Charge your battery. Don't attempt the install with a partially drained battery.
Don't use a USB hub. Plug your cable directly into a port on the workstation.
Disable any anti-virus software for the duration of the install.

Here is a post on manually installing CM11: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56004369&postcount=4
I have been using CM 12.1 for a while now, and have only until a bit ago have been receiving this error while updating the nightlies. I am aware this is because of the updater_script, and to flash new updates I have been replacing this file with an older, working one. But I am trying to find a permanent solution so I do not have to continue doing this. Any help is appreciated.
The script is looking for a different modem than what you have installed. You can get the flashable modem zips from here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=56005257&postcount=4
I have rooted the device some time ago and now the lollipop update finally arrived.
I've used the original system all time long but when i try to update i get error, finally i've tried a sideload update and i can see the error. Now my problem is with this error:
Package expects build fingerprint of motorola/condor-retde/condor_umts:4.4.4/KXC21.5-40/46:user/release-keys or motorola/condor-retde/condor_umts:5.1/LPC23.13-34.8/10:user/release-keys this device has motorola/condor-retaildsds/condor_umtsds:4.4.4/KXC21.
Instalation aborted.
Now i believe i understand why i get this error, but my question is how to make it work. And what's the best method, by modifying the current software or by modifying the update.zip
PS. I'm an sysadmin not an android developer so please keep it simple.
Hi. My Moto E is giving me the same error as yours. Using Team Win Recovery Project, it says:

Thanks!
I have an ascend mate 2. I have unlocked the bootloader, installed TWRP 3.1.1 and have updated my bios via Huawei site and currently have Android 5.1. I have tried uploading CyanogenMod 13 and lineage 14. Both times I get error 7 when uploading. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You may want to provide your detailed procedure so others could help.

I am experiencing the same issue. I did the advance wipe from TWRP 3.1.1 and install lineage 14. It stucks and gave this error message "This package supports bootloader(s) MSM8226C00B322_BOOT; This device has bootloader unknown. ". I had B322 built and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop on my Huawei Ascent Mate 2. I read from other forum and even tried to modify the line "assert(getprop("ro.bootloader") == "MSM8226C00B322_BOOT" || abort("This package supports bootloader(s): MSM8226C00B322_BOOT; this device has bootloader " + getprop("ro.bootloader") + ".");" in the file updater-script under META-INF\com\google\android directory and still not working. Please help
I am getting the same error. Full wipe of the device except for internal storage as I do not currently have a microSD card inserted (it's being used in my new phone, an S7 edge). I bought a new microSD card and used that to restore the stock ROM.

Edit: So, I just reinstalled the stock ROM, B322, with no problems. Then I flashed TWRP 3.1.0, again, with no problems.
But I keep getting error 7, and it keeps saying that "this device has bootloader unknown". What gives? I can't stand the ridiculously large UI elements of the stock ROM, so I'm not going back to that.
EDIT: Alright, so I think I fixed it. Simply remove the "asserts" line from update-script in the ROM zip that deals with the bootloader (leave the device line if you wish) and it should work.
I used the instructions in this thread.
