Hi All,
I was trying to flash the hybrid_concept_edition into my Xperia Z Ultra thru TWRP 2.8.x but I am getting message as "Failed to mount /system". How can i overcome this situation ? Will I be able to install cm-12.1 or should I go back to the stock rom ?
Right now i don't have any OS present in the phone as i installed a wrong kernel on the stock rom (5.1.1) and it messed up everything. I had unlocked bootloader by following the steps mentioned in Sony website using the unlockcode. Please help me

Hi, i have a Z ultra, and I had installed cm 12 but was tired of cyanogen recovery, so I used an app called rashr to try and flash TWRP, however the device got stuck at the sony logo and is unable to open a recovery, I have an unlocked bootloader and can access fastboot mode, and I tried to flash cwm using the boot.img from a cm11 build in fastboot , however It still wont get into recovery, I know about the hard reset points if you popen the device, however I would like to fix it without opening it!

Hello
In a thread i have a guide howto recover your device:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z-ultra/help/pleas-help-t3017936
Scroll to my guide and follow the instructions but without unlocking bootloader and flash CM12, then your device is Not more bricked
DEVICES:
Xperia Z Ultra 4.4.4 Stock/TriperaZU Kernel v0.5 Beta
LG Optimus L7ii P710 5.0.2 AOSP/TriperaL7ii Kernel. v0.5 Beta

And a good Tip:
Do Not flash CM12 because there Are much issues, but I think they fix that with the Lollipop 5.1 update but that needs time
thank you for the fast repose and im sure that would have worked but I just recovered it (verry similarly) using the official Sony flash tool (aka emma) to flash it back to stock, which has worked and I will likely now take it back to cm 11/12 from there
I've recently flashed CyanogenMod 12 Rom on my Xperia T.
Yesterday I tried to install BRAVIA Engine 3 by flashong a .zip, but I got an error "E:cannot load volume /misc!".
I've read some threads and the comments below and what I understood is that the Cyanogen Recovery can't flash ZIP files...
That's why I want to replace it, but I'm not sure how. I flashed TWRP on Xperia T's stock ROM with adb in fastboot mode and what I want to know is - if I flash it again through fastboot will it work properly and is it safe?
If this is not the way I need some help with replacing it with TWRP, CWM or any good working recovery......
I hope someone will answer this.....
Solved
I've used "Rashr - Flash Tool" and flashed TWRP. It shows you the latest version of TWRP and flashes it.
Working fine on me Xperia T with CM12.
I tried installing a rom (the 2.2 version of this one). It went all the way to updating google apps and then is stuck in a boot loop.
So I tried installing it again and in both TWRP and Phil recovery this crashes the phone.
My computer lists the phone as a Z1 now instead of a Z2 (I'm 100% sure that it's actually a Z2). Plus I can't get sideload to work now and I can't install other roms either as both recoveries say "This package is for device: D6502, D6503, D6506, D6543, sirius; this device is honami"
Help, how do I fix this?
All sorted, followed the steps outlined in this guide and now I'm back to the stock rom.
Is there any option to relock bootloader?
How do i get stock recovery back (I'm currently on twrp)?
I'm asking these questions because of i think i bricked my z5 compact by accidently wiping the internal system too and know i cant get adb to get working by pushing a custom rom too Xperia Companion doesnt restore back and gives me error. I have tried several tools and drivers without success. Fastboot is working.
//EDIT: A solution for all of this mess is to not using the newest twrp recovery. I flashed the older one version 2.8.x.x and everything worked again.
Hello,
I tried this morning to install a custom ROM for my sony xperia z5 compact. Unfortunately, it remains crashing on the "Sony" screen
I unlocked the bootloader via the official link https://developer.sonymobile.com/unlockbootloader/unlock-yourboot-loader/. Until then no worries, everything worked well.
Then I wanted to install a TWRP recovery via this link https://forum.xda-developers.com/crossdevice-dev/sony/twrp-3-1-0-z5-z5c-z5p-t3571050
I was able to flash it without worries but when restarting, TWRP asked me if I wanted to install the app, I put OK and from there, impossible to start my phone. "always stuck on Sony screen".
this is my config : E5823 / 32.4.A.1.54
I want just to start my phone. Is there possible to put a stock version? thanks
This is very urgent to resolve it unfortunately
Thanks for your help
you can close this subject, problem solved. Thanks
Wanna share how you fixed it?
Yes sure,
I flashed my recovery with the TWRP 3.1.1 posted before with the command "fastboot flash recovery {name_of_file.bin}" and I did a flash of the boot with the good version of boot with the commande "fastboot flash boot {name_of_file.bin}.
I founded the good boot at this address for my version : https://forum.xda-developers.com/z5-compact/general/32-4-1-54-coming-t3685995
