Custom rom messing up carrier - Galaxy S6 Edge Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

So recently I had a friend put custom rom on my Samsung galaxy s6 edge. It was was a debloat ed version of touchwiz and made the battery better. FYI my phone carrier is fido and since then my phone has switched to Rogers and won't go back. I know you will all say that they already the same company but Rogers is so ****ing slow and the battery is even worse now. I need a default touchwiz rom so I can go back to the default that my phone had.

[Q] How to Debrand a Bell Galaxy Note?

Hello guys just wanted to know how to debrand the note from bell as it is running a little slugishh and i also want to remove all the bell apps without rooting thanks for the help...
What do you mean Debrand it? It litterally has no branding. You're talking about changing the firmware?
It does have branding likeee all the bell apps and stuff all the extra stuff...

Just the word that you used is odd, because branding literally means to "mark" something, or it means a certain type. So automatically when I read the title I was thinking you wanted to remove a carrier logo branded on the phone which it clearly doesn't have.
Anyhow, I digress.
To remove all that just root, get Titanium backup and remove all pre-loaded apps you don't want. This topic has already been discussed and you shouldn't have trouble finding out how to remove those apps.
Check the development section and you'll find more information there.

Like i said i dont want to root...is there a way to straight flash a official galaxy note update which isnt from a carrier?

There hasnt been any update yet. We are all patiently awaiting ICS. (Which will come from our carriers.) The only way I can see you getting rid of the bell bloatware is to either Root the phone and freeze those apps with TiBu. Or Flash a Rom which still requires rooting. Dude if you want them gone you're gonna need to root. However I could be wrong there may be a flashable Odin files that get rid of all the bloatware. Im not sure. Go look in development. I just don't know how to tell you any other way. Also don't know if you know this but the International Version is not tied to any Carrier, You can look into that if you're not happy with the Bell one. I also forgot to mention, I have one on Rogers and Bell. The Rogers one seems to be slightly faster. But I only have 2 to compare so I dunno. Maybe you can always sitch carrier if your contract is new.

I know you do not want to root my man but I will pay you $30 right now to upload the Bell stock system and then you can go right back to the unrooted version. I am desperate!! No Wi-fi hotspot, no NFC, S Planner, AT&T sucks!!
Yea waiting for ics is unpredictable now...
And like u said rogers note is faster thats why i want to debrand it i used my friends rogers note n there is a good differencee i got this from bell but got it unlocked cause i am with rogers so even if i can Get rogers firmware that would be fine too just need to find a wayy...

Rooting is your only way afaik with Bell and Rogers. My Telus Note came with ZERO Telus bloatware and I mean ZERO unless I missed something. Luckily, in Canada, Telus, Rogers and Bell did not put their name on the Note like how AT&T removed the Samsung name and used AT&T up on top of the phone. Also WIFI Hotspot (tethering) option is there and not removed. I use tethering all the time to tether to my tablet and several of my Sony Vaios. Lastly, NFC is there and is working.

[Q] different country rom

I am trying to send S4 to Europe, and idk what rom to put it so it will work the best over there since phone will stay there.
So I was thinking.
Can I put rom from that country on my galaxy S4 from Verizon? or would that made I bunch of problems?

[Q] one max on t mobile.

I'm currently using my bone stock untouched Verizon max on t mobile. Looking for a rom that will work well on this carrier, or better than the stock Verizon rom in global mode. I did put in apn settings however mms msg's are hit or miss as well as lte. I get lte randomly, but mostly stay in "h" but the factory Verizon rom won't let me edit carrier code settings (310-260 for t-mobile).
So in the short if anyone has successfully done the switch to t-mobile with their Verizon variant one max and what rom worked the best for you or worked well in general would be appreciated.
Thanks
my experience
I have the sprint version and I am using it on t-mobile. Vipers rom has the best stability and options. You should be able to edit apns and everything on there. I was having issues but I believe mine to be strictly from being the sprint version, which i know i should've found the verizon one, but too late lol.
I was running CM11 and everything was working for me but I had random lockups when the phone was asleep so i went back to using Viper rom.

Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge Sm-G925V/Sm-G925R6

Hi i have a Samsung Galaxy S6 edge Sm-G925R6 that im trying to return back to stock firmware.
The phone is from a cell phone service provider called CellCom out in Wisconsin. Cellcom uses Verizons towers to get LTE out in rural areas of Wisconsin
I purchased the phone and thought it would be an easy fix returning back to stock. The previous owner did not know what he was doing as he loaded the rom and forgot to make a back up of his Stock Firmware
The full model number of the phone is Sm-G925RZWALRA on the back sticker of phone with imei
on the box sleeve model number: SMG925RZWAL
which from my understanding the last 3 letters "LRA" stands for LTE in Rural Areas
The Fcc ID:A3LSSMG925V
Baseband Version G925R6WWU2AOF2
I am currently running CleanROM 1.5-Edge OE2 for the Verizon S6 edge with no issues besides having to sign back into my wifi
and all other Verizon Roms work fine on the phone as well.
Im currently using T-Mobile in Chicago on the phone with no issues and full LTE speeds working
But i would like to use The android pay app as sometimes i am forgetful and tend to forget my wallet. And with custom roms the android version can not be verified
I have tried using the stock firmwares for verizon both 5.1 and 5.0.2 to try to return the phone to stock but it fails in odin.
I have also tried using US Cellulars Stock firmware since theyre model number the galaxy s6 Edge is SM-G925R4 pretty similar to mine as mine is Sm-G925R6 but that has also failed in Odin.
I do like the debloated Rom but would rather have Android pay just in case of emergencies .
Thanks in advance for any help.
Omg glad that I'm not the only one with the cellcom version, I have been looking everywhere for what to do since I didn't want to install the wrong firmware and brick my s6 edge I have the same model number but I updated mine the day I got it which didn't change the android version. Finally, 5 minutes ago found a stock rom it's for a appellation wireless, same mode number "smg925r6wwu2aof2" as me. LINK

Where did u find ur rom? Can i just use any rom for s6 edge? I want to ask before I take my chances and mess up my phone, since I see you are more brave than me, I rely on having a phone.

Can I "convert" my phone?

I have a Verizon Note 2. The ROMs available here for it are either stuck in KitKat, or littered with bugs that I just can't live with in a daily driver.
What I've wondered is can I flash TWRP for say the N7100, and then my phone will think that's what I have and let me flash those ROMs? Or, can I maybe even flash a different bootloader for the same purpose? Is this possible? I really want to get a couple more years out of my Note 2, but if I can't find a usable ROM then I'll be forced to say goodbye to it. So, can someone help?
I run a lot of at&t roms. I have tried a great number of ROMs and I have found that t mo Vzw at&t and international all work. But you have to set up APN stuff yourself. And never ever flash a modem or a ROM that includes one. There is still some kind of lock on the basdands.
Seriously, have you tried any of the AOSP roms that are on 5.1.1. XenonHD, CyanideL for instance. Rock stable, beautiful, fast. You could easily get another 2 years out of this phone once marshmallow hits.
Also, Alliance 4.4.2 TW ROM is rock solid.
I have a note 5 that sits in the drawer. Note II = best phone I have ever had. Will cry when it dies.
"Rock stable" is a subjective term, I guess. I personally don't consider the lack of bluetooth google voice commands, and the lost of 4g requiring setting APN settings to default to be "Rock stable".
Seriously.
Heh... If you struggle changing APN settings, you are gunna be in a world of hurt using a TMO ROM.
All you have to do is delete the APN, and reset it. That is with any 5.1.1 ROM.
Guess I never encountered the Bluetooth bug.
Have you tried XenonHD?

My point is that with a "rock solid" rom, the APN settings would just work and no resetting would be necessary.
Initial setup and long term stability are two completely different concepts IMO. Anything other than stock is going to take some initial setup. Whether that be applying GAPPS or SU or flashing kernel, or APN, or theming.
I guess I don't know what you want. Weren't you talking about flashing N7100 ROMs?? You know how much setup it will take to get those to work?
Again have you tried XenonHD?
So, I'll pose the question again...
Can I run other Note II roms that weren't designed for the Verizon version of the phone? If so, how exactly do I change the APN settings to accommodate my Verizon service?

No, that wouldn't be a good idea. Because each carrier has their own version of software for the Note II, they cannot be cross compatible. I once had a Sprint S2 and tried flashing an international ROM onto it, and let's just say that didn't end well. I got it fixed with some luck tho. What are you trying to accomplish by getting a Tmobile/ATT/SPRINT ROM? Also btw another reason is because AT&T and TMobile run off of the GSM bands and Verizon/Sprint run off of a CDMA band. The two don't mix. And no you can't flash a Sprint ROM either, as they use different CDMA bands.
I have the i605 Verizon variant of the Note 2. I changed service from Verizon to Straighttalk and since straighttalk uses AT&T, if I use a verizon rom on AT&T, incoming calls and outgoing calls are a pain in the ass. So, in order to accommodate this problem, I had to install the i317 att note 2 custom recovery version on my i605. I use the ATT SlimKat custom rom on my i605 without any issues. battery life is good and pretty stable. it is safe to odin flash an AT&T custom recovery to a i605. but if you flash a custom rom, be sure it doesn't have a modem or boot.img inside or you will run into problems. Generally stay away from TW roms as i've found they usually have them.
