I don't know anything about Android development so please forgive my novice question. I'd really like to be able to modify the Scrolling Friction and Max Fling Velocity on any rom I happen to be on. I've been using PureNexus rom on the Nexus 6 since I first got the phone and I've been using the Xposed Module, XuiMod, to modify those two scroll physics. But Xposed has been very unstable for me for a long time and most of the time I can't use Xposed. Because of that I have to use the stock Android scrolling physics, which drives me crazy! The XuiMod module uses the scrolling physics mods from AOKP's source. Does anyone familiar with AOKP in this forum know how I could just mod my current rom's scrolling physics without using that XuiMod Xposed module?

I don't know if there's anything out like this for Xposed (have searched for the past 10 minutes and have found nothing) and my requests to the ROM devs haven't panned out. I would like to have an Xposed module that will allow me to move the navigation buttons to the left or right side of the nav bar. It's been implemented in certain ROMs, so I know it's possible, but I don't know how to make modules, so I hope someone who has some experience could help.
Thanks!
I would like to second that request!
Also how about moving the clock and notifications to the bottom like it was on JB?
Getting this to work as an Xposed module has complications. It should be easy enough to achieve on stock-ish ROMs, but ROMs which have nav bar customisations is harder to achieve considering that there are quite a few ways different ROM approach nav bar customisations.
Thankfully there's Thunderkat, which I'm currently running. But it would be nice fore there to be something out there for the masses who choose a different ROM that it might be compatible with.
I was thinking having the bar on the right side while in landscape so the bar has not moved when changing orientation, like what occurs in mobile phones.
Having a nexus 7 I havent managed to stay on kitkat as I can't stand the mobile phone layout, using PA in tablet mode to have both bars combined, now tablet ui is removed in KK I'm trying to find a rom that has a practical layout for my thumb.
Tried thundercat and it has the option of having navi controls on either side which is great but I cant stop to think that the bar is wasting space as you only need an inch of it, while you have a notification pane that could be on the other side.
I will have to find a way to have the bar like on mobile devices.
I would like this as well. I miss my old Asus TF 'layout ' they had something similar with the notifications on the right side instead of above.
Someone on the Kindle fire was attempting to port TabletUI to KK, but I haven't checked in on development in a while.

I requested the same thing in the xposed request thread and got no love. maybe you should ask there, too. squeaky wheel gets the grease?
Throwing my hat into this request too... I hate the way Android handles tablet UI these days, I really miss having the navigation near my hand when on landscape, but would like to continue using stock android with xposed instead of flashing a ROM, is this viable via Xposed?

+1 Same here... Been trying GravityBox Nav bar options but that's not working either!
Guys, check out tabletkat xposed module. Works great here!

Thanks for the heads up! (Although its tabletkat). Installed and works with XGELS and GravityBox with no conflicts. Although it will nullify any tweaks to the navigation bar that you've done with GB.

Dear my friends,
sounds like a noob question, or maybe a lazy one [emoji23]
BUT, i'm looking for a clean CM/AOSP based Rom with just 3 important points for me:
- NavBar Dimension customizeable
- Theme Engine
- Dynamic Status Bar
I know about crDroid and Tesla Rom, i was using cr for month and now Tesla, so far both very good rom's, but i find they're overloaded with cherrypicked stuff .. as i don't use them at all!
So i was thinking to learn myself compiling a clean CM Rom with just the 2 additionel features! but as for now, it takes a lot time [emoji30]
so, i'll flashing clean CM and use xposed for the missing things!
So, any recommendings for xposed modules wich i can use together like tintes status bar but what can i use for NavBar customization?
Thanks mates
[emoji16]
I think PA will get you covered on the applying themes and the dynamic status bar, as for the adjustable nav bar many exposed modules can adjust the size, and i think GravityBox is the best one out there because it provides you with many other features.
yes, i was Using PA on my Z2, BUT it was kind of bugy (at least the official PA, cause there is just Beta3 available) If @infected_ will update his to Beta6, i´ll try it again!
At the moment, i´m setting my Laptop up with Linux to start compiling myself (at least, i`ll try it )
Pac Includes all that you want, although you'll probably think it has more features than you need which it does but you don't have to use them all it's perfectly stable with m5 kernel

Since my trusty SlimKat started acting weird after last update I thought I look for rom which supports some things I lacked in SlimKat. But to my amazement I cant find any that will fulfil all my requirements. And I don't require anything fancy.
In in order of priority.
Stable
Wi-fi priorities
pure android look - No TouchWiz or MIUI
Multi window
preferably KitKat based
Dark theme
I'm sure it exist I just can't find it
I think all kitkat ROM's have reached stability that you desire, but I am not sure if any ROM has feature #4.

and its hard ...maybe you can try xposed to get multi floating windows but you will get away from ART
Guys, this is a development forum. There the Q&A section for these questions.

I tried xposed framework multi windows but it's somewhat buggy. For example chrome was always starting in window even if I don't wanted it to. And my rom seem less stable when I was using it.
My favorite tweak from cyanogenmod was always the status bar brightness slide control.
I couldn't find any decent way to make that happen in ics stock evo-ware.
Want stereocam and 3d or I'd just run LS 4.4
I googled a bunch on xposed statusbar brightness and found a short reddit thread with the idea of using a bit of gravitybox to do it.
Their source excision was missing a few critical bits.
I got the original jb gravitybox modstatusbar.java, chopped it down, added different initialization process for standalone use.
Source, although very messy, is attached as a zip.
I'll share later when it's cleaned up, in the appropriate forum for xposed modules. This is my very first foray into the world of xposed module creation.
for now, evo users win first.
I had to use a gimmick from another xda thread to build working xposed modules with aide
since all development I've done this calendar year has been strictly on my evo.
At least partly because of that I wanted to toss the finished xposed module apk I built out there in the evo forum before posting anything in the xposed areas of xda.
Slide right/left across statusbar to change brightness or long press it.
temporarily overrides automatic brightness if on. Turn that off for full control.
Thanks to the gravitybox developers for sharing and their fine work!
and that reddit post for pointing me that way.
Reserved against the possibility of future development
Nice app squid, as you know, I've been messing with Liquid and that's been implemented. Does it work with stock based?

I've only tested it on stock. Dunno if it'd even work on cm-derived stuff. Maybe cm9 but not sure.
It works with Liquid Smooth- is that cm 11?

Cm11 based anyway, there's lots of cm in the LS manifest.
good to know it works on later android versions than 4.0 anyway.
thanks for testing!
It is working on MIUI 8.

The only device booting Oreo I've got to test it on is my evo 3d, and I'm not sure if that build will even run xposed for testing.
Not tons of time to play around, either.
Source code is posted though, if you know someone else who can mod it. Code's mostly from gravitybox with some patchwork to run standalone.

everything works like a charm...
lg smart cover and smart cover works running xposed too
no crash in the more setting.
battery perfomance
system stability
PD: i know that some thread have a quick cover app.. to replace the stock app.. and its working with the g3 plus xposed! somebody test it or can review that!
if the rom is AOSP what rom is better and contain the following features:
double tap to sleep everywhere
double tap to wake
knock code
lg quick circle cover &smart weather
infrared controller

battery performance
some way to use google now theme with appdrawer folder?

i really feel very thankfull about the answer of this thread..
thnks you in advance
And I want a wife who has hot friends and will not sleep with anyone else but will let me hook up with said hot friends at will...
The point is: It's give and take; you have to figure out what is most important and go with it.
I may suggest that you learn a little more about Android, licensing, and the differences between stock and AOSP before laying out your list of demands, because many of these are just not possible.
Stock:
Xposed is currently in an alpha state on Lollipop, requires the removal of the smart weather and cover apps, in order to function on KitKat and Lolllipop alike. Going to the "More settings...." will produce a crash as a result of this removal. That is clearly noted in numerous threads for Xposed on LG.
AOSP/CM:
Knock code is an LG feature that requires their framework and, I think, a kernel module, too; no dice on AOSP.
You can get double tap to wake, double tap anywhere to sleep on lockscreen, and double tap on status bar anywhere. The implementation on status bar only is far smarter.
Quick cover is available; not sure about the circle..
LG Weather is an LG app and requires their framework; no dice. There are far better options available anyway.
The IR may not lend itself to every app, but the QRemote app has been ported and works great.
Google Now is available.
App drawer folders are a feature of certain launchers and most work fine on AOSP ROMs.
You may test anything that you like where it comes to Xposed. I'm sure that the devs would appreciate detailed feedback.

My work around for double tap to sleep anywhere was to use slim actions and place it on the home screen as well as double tap on status bar or nav bar.
I've been on aicp for a while now and really enjoying it. Very solid and a lot of features.
