Hey everyone! So again thanks to Android 6.0.1 we're stuck with the ugly gap between the mobile signal and the battery.
There is a fix thanks to @istux which was great, but it no longer works in 6.0.1
But don't fear! I have a new fix which is even easier than before!
Installation Instructions:
Download the flashable .zip from HERE
Go into recovery and install zip
Enjoy!
If you like to do things manually, you can do the following:
Decompile SystemUI.apk
Go to res/values/ and open the dimens.xml file
Find the below lines:
Code:
<dimen name="signal_cluster_battery_padding">7.0dip</dimen>
<dimen name="no_signal_cluster_battery_padding">3.0dip</dimen>
Replace their values with "0.0dip" (or whatever gap you prefer to use)
Recompile
Enjoy!
Anyone is free to use this fix in their ROMs, just make sure to give me proper credit for the fix!
Cheers!

Working perfectly, thanks!
Is there any way to get rid of that ugly signal icons that Sony made and put the AOPS one's instead?
Nice work
This completely Breaks my navbar and Statusbar. They both become red with ugly badly resized Status bar Icons. Input fields like the Unlock Code are hidden by an white Layer. Z3c MM .575
Did you do the mod or just just the zip? I tested both and the navbar shouldn't be affected at all or change the icon size.
Con you confirm the rom you are using and upload your systemui.apk for me to take a look?

How are you making these? Does it effect the image in the menu background? And can you alter the colours used in things like messaging?

Simply, just replace some images @ drawable, and alter some xml strings.
This was a quick edit, and changing background color in messanging need more time, I was just try to match it with default color theme.

You just get better with each theme....

Thanx guys !
Beautiful, thanks!

nice job! waiting 4 more
Awsome themes! keep up the good work
I was going to get a lot more complicated with burying the menuing system in more sub menus but decided it would be complete overkill and make a very easy to navigate menu structure more complicated than it needs to be. I still moved some things, and will be moving more. Also reverted to the bluehighway font instead of the default roboto
Feedback welcome..
Requirements:
TWRP Version 2.3.3.0
This will work with 2.4 but will lack any new menu features added in 2.4.. ie: If you're happy with your functionality as it is.. You can use it with 2.4..
A Nexus 10 (Believe me you never know)
Install:
Make a folder called "theme" inside your TWRP folder that should already be made at the root of your SDCard
Copy UI.zip into the theme folder
You're done
Uninstall:
Delete UI.zip
Version - 1.0 / 1.25.2013 / 1.36MB
To-do: Rearrange more of the menus to pull the buttons to the outer perimeter like on the main menu. Various other UI changes. A few more default images to replace.

Works great, looks nice. I don't know how much work goes into doing this, but a nexus theme would be stellar...
Looks great. Might I suggest putting your TWRP themes in one thread so they can be found easier by the masses?

Original thread : forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2405873
Please read through, both our devices are ldpi so I am willing to port to the xperia x10 mini if you help in resizing
so far the lockscreen and power menu cause a reboot, I think its because they're meant for a xhdpi device and fails on our ldpi device.
The status bar doesn't show, again a size issue, and most of the aapps force close. however the launcher is fine and i hahaven't tried much else.
I really need everyone's help in resizing as this is the best looking rom I have ever sseen!
look at it ------> www.blogcdn.com/www.engadget.com/media/2012/07/meizuscreenmain1.jpg
I need the systemui.apk and framework.apk resizing first in order to navigate through most of the rom, after that I will release an alpha rom to the public
Thank
progress!

@jordfaz i went out the whole last night and just decompiled it yesterday and couldn't do anything more. Now i had a closer look at the different folders...
As you can see at the picture there are different densities for each folder. When i resize the pictures from
"drawable-en-hdpi" i tell the resizer tool that i want to convert it from HDPI to LDPI
if i want to resize the "drawable-land-xhdpi" i tell the tool that it should resize it from XHDPI to LDPI, right?
And one more question i dont have to resize the "drawable-nodpi" folder cause it scales automaticly to the screen size/pixels right?

its uploading right now on my gdrive

More help would be appreciated and would move this project on faster, until then just wait for the first alpha soon
There is any way to change ONLY the Status Bar Font? Precisely I'm refer to Clock and Battery Percentage Font.
Solved
For who is interested, after many tests, I identified the interested fonts:
The clock font is RobotoCondensed-Bold.ttf
and the battery percentage font is Roboto-Medium.ttf
Obviously both fonts are located in /system/fonts.
Unlucky, replace them with other fonts, affects some UI elements, but imho, this is better than indiscriminately replace all system fonts.
With the aim to minimize the impact, and at the same time to replace those ugly font, I choosed to use
RobotoCondensed-Light.ttf for the clock and
Roboto-Light.ttf for the battery percentage.
This is the result:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
So I made two flashable zips: one for replace them (Fonts.zip) and one for back to stock fonts (FontsBackup.zip).
If you want, you can replace my choices with the fonts which you prefer and rename them as RobotoCondensed-Bold.ttf and Roboto-Medium.ttf respectively for clock and battery percentage and put them in the /system/fonts directory inside the Fonts.zip archive.
No issues with SafetyNet with Magisk. Tested in Nexus 5 running Screw'd ROM 3.1.2

This zip file is very old, probably doesn't work anymore on newer Android version. I think I made it on Marshmallow era.
I suggest you to use a magisk module or a substratum theme.
