My Xda II is always charging. Even when is not plugged in.
Battery life is around 6 - 7 hrs.
First i thought that is the battery dead, but i tried with a new one.. and got the same result. He eats like 10 % in one hour.
Now I have Sin.Merged.V.2.0 but is not the soft fault.
I hared that I have do a hard reset but I don’t know how.
Anybody have an idea what to do so will not be on charge mode anymore ?
it's normal for a himalaya to charge up to 100% then run of the battery untill it reach a surden % and then begin charging once more
Is always on charging mode. Even when is not plugged in.
Probably a short on the pins on base of phone. Get a magnifying glass and take close look.

ME TOO !! please anyone knows something about this ? Why is always charging and eats bettery life time ?
ok, so consider the possibility your battery is on the way out and you need to buy a new one, obviously if you haven't had the PDA/Battery wrong, this shouldn't be true, but nonetheless a possibiliy
always charging and eats bettery life time
I found out that my qtek 2020 has some other failure than yust bad battery. I took it to the service and they try with other battery and also put on my ppc new software (upgrade) but no succes.Battery still always charging and eats bettery life time.

yes i tried with a new battery and also made a software upgrade but still the same problem...it always says charging...
anyone knows a solution ?
There is a green lite always on. Usualy it is blinking and while it is always on, it needs at least 10times more power than usualy. This is the reason why battery life is so short.
On monday i will try to diskonect the green lite and hope solve the problem with battery life.
:?:
mm
no... don't do that ... the green light doesnt eat the battery...
the battery is eaten because the XDA thinks is charging...is not the light
maybe the pins are touching somewhere... this is what should cause this battery eating
You were right. 4 days testing my qtek2020 and result was mistake in mother board. Imposible to locate short. It is not in the pins, IT IS mother board...
I have battery problem too,
I read it must be alive 160 hours but my xda is down more speed
I changed my battery 2700 mA battery new one same problem continue

could this problem electronic battery assambly of my xda IIi?
,,
well i sold mine... but i never was able to fix the phone... i dont think it was the batteries, nor the software... i think the phone was broken... in one way or another...
i wish you all luck with this problem... i hope you'll all fix it
had the same problem before, its still under warranty wayback that time, they said its a problem with the board inside. anyway they fixed it and replaced the circuit board inside. the call timers were revert back to 0 and my imei had changed so basically just like a new phone.
I guess this could go into any category for any modern telephone, but since I am the proud owner of the I9300 I choose to post here.
The last few days I have been (foolish) enough to charge my in a way I have understood can decrease the battery's lifetime. For instance, I charged it from 9 % up to only 84 %, and the other day from 17 % to 70 %. These are merely examples, but I hope you know what I mean.
Will this damage my phone's battery and lifetime, as this being a "modern" battery?
Thanks for answering!
Charge ur dvice when its below 20% and try to charge till 100 if u can otherwise its ok no harm.
Modern lithium ion batteries dont suffer memory effect like the old nicads used to
Many people recommend not letting the battery go too low if you can help it
I have always put it on charge when i get home from work, regardless of how much charge there is, and imtake it off charge when i need the phone
The idea is to charge it as and when. Don't get all precious about "I must charge it at xx%". This is a myth. Simply charge it as and when you need it.
It doesn't matter if the battery goes low. True, depleting a li-on battery to 0% will do sever damage to the battery. You need to keep a good 15% charge in the battery BUT what your phone reports as 0% will be that 15%. The batteries are designed to keep that buffer so that it is impossible for you to break it by letting it run "dead". These are limitations built into the battery at manufacture so there is nothing to worry about.
please help me i noticed under an week ago dat my battery in my phon drain to fast for a newly phone. Can i get a replacement battery if the phone is sitll under warranty? .Sorry if am being a nob
Yes it does once the date has not pass your fine but you shall wait a bit longer to decide for sure about the battery and also you should let your battery drain to zero and then give it a full charge if you haven't as yet.Not really being a noob, kind of xD
Hi there,
It is the 2nd battery I ordered "genuine motorola" from ebay locally and they just wont charge or either fall flat in minutes. Done reset battery stats it wont do nothing.
Have been changing batteries in thousands of devices in the past, even been working in a battery shop reconditioning camcorder batteries, know all about electrochemistry so now what??? Whats in there that I just dont get.
Very frustrated here please help.
It may be problem with your phone... Try the battery in another phone... Try to hook it up in a multimeter after you charge it, maybe your phone isn't charging it.

Hi,
I'm trying to charge my phone but I'm getting an error "charging paused, battery temperature too low", I replaced the charging port but still same error, wireless charge is giving same error.
Any help
Maybe the battery or the cable connected to the battery to the motherboard is loose.

I replaced the battery and the charging port but still the same issue, I noticed that on TWRP the temperature of the CPU is fine but on the system is -20C, any suggestion
is there any way to charge the battery outside the phone?
is there any way to change battery temperature on system, so that way maybe the phone will charge
I'm interested on this one... I know its old but just happened to me. Did anybody fin a way around this? Maybe a battery temperature spoof app?
