Can i use LGMDP (with LG-Utils & DZDecryptor) instead of kdz updater

I m afraid of using kdz updater as i bricked my phone once with it.
Now my question is can i use lgmdp instead of kdz updater.
Like i will use "LG-Utils-0.4.2" to extract dz file from stock kdz file,
and use "DZDecryptor" to extract all files from dz file.
Now using Lgmdp and selecting the folder of extracted files from dz file.
Then pressing download.
Will it do the trick, i mean will it erase custom recovery, install stock rom and bring my phone back to warranty.
please help..
is there anyone who can answer my query
Yes you can, its the same, in fact i think its better because you can choose to uncheck recovery and that way you can keep your custom recovery
And i think even there will not be any risk of corrupt kdz files bcoz corrupt kdz files will not be extracted

[Q] Sof-Bricked LG-E460

Hi...
i want to know if is possible unbrick this phone. I've already tried:
- KDZ Flash (LG Flash Tool 2014), can't downlaod the lastest KDZ firmware for it because the page doesn't exist anymore, so i just dowloaded a previous version. Then when it start the upgrade procedure an error ocurred: "Upgrade stop due to an error"
- With the LG original mobile tool.
P.S. My phone was rooted before the brick.
Thanks!

Have you downloaded the lg mobile united drivers, because without it the flash tool will not flash the firmware You can download the drivers from the following url
http://www.mediafire.com/download/g31hbcdmh14io89/LGUnitedMobileDriver_S50MAN311AP22_ML_WHQL_Ver_3.11.3.exe

Need help on finding KDZ file for LG660 Boost Mobile

Hey there,
Recently my phone was bricked, I was reverting back to a stock ROM (which I did successfully, but when applying an official update through the phone, it bricked when rebooting). The only way I can unbrick my phone is by flashing with a KDZ file for the model (Using LGFlashTool2014). However, there is no KDZ file for that specific model.
Can someone help me
Edit! --- The model is a LG LS660

Solution for . Cannot Flash TOT, Getting "Information Check Fail" with Flashtool.

Solution for . Cannot Flash TOT, Getting "Information Check Fail" with Flashtool.
Specifically for LS990 SPRINT variant , or idea for other variants.
If you cannot flash TOT because of INFORMATION CHECK ERROR in flashtool
1) Use the "generic" DLL for LS990 instead of the most widely available. This should solve the issue and Flashtool will flash like normal. Go here https://forum.xda-developers.com/sp...g-g3-ls990-t2852042/post54912191#post54912191 for the Download and thank Fergie716 for the tip.

Download VS99630c kdz and extract it with LG firmware extractor v1.2.6, kdz first, then dz to get all partitions

So if I just do a kdz I'll get them installed then?

You could use dual mode lgup to partition DL install just the 2 modem files, but safest to install the entire kdz
Remember how you bricked to qld 9008 when u mixed and match modems between variants?
