Hi, I think I have problem with Facebook and Messenger app. Once hibernated I can't connect to data after app being launched again (fb app doesn't refresh, messenger says "no internet connection"). I hibernate only these two apps. Have no problems with any other, so It might be a greenify issue. Happens no matter which hibernation option I choose. I need to manually close the app and then launch again. Anyone has the same problem?

I have the same problem with Clash Royale, XDA app, and Firefox when I greenify them. It happens after a period of doze. This is on my LG G4.
This is also the same for me. Haven't found a solution yet other than a reboot
I have the same problem, but only with shallow hibernation. If I disable it... then the connection works again.

Do you use the Xposed features? did you convert those apps to system apps or were they already system apps?
Did you solve the problem in some way?

Now that there are so much options for push messages in the new facebook app and the messenger was integrated, I thought that the push messages would finally work. But they don't. Is there something I have to set up for it to work?
I mean what the hell is so difficult to make that feature work? I don't get any notifications for new messages, not to mention about any friend requests, likes etc.
Do other apps' push notifications work well for you?

Yes, this problem only exists for the facebook app! The messenger app does work fine though.

Did you ever log into your fb account with a blackberry? Because that seems to activate push notifications somehow.
Check your phones settings. Settings > Accounts & Sync.
Check your push frequency within the Facebook Application. Unsure of where it is. I deleted the application all together. Too much of a battery drain. Good luck

I've never had this problem, I'm helping you
If you uninstall facebook and messenger you may have to wipe their data first.
I just updated facebook and only thing that stopped it force closing was to goto app manager, wipe data clear cache and redownload from play store.
Hope that helps.

I do have Facebook but I don't really like a Facebook themed phone. But the chatheads for FB Messenger is ingenious. Anyway to develop an app that enables chathead-like notifications? I know it's only a matter of time before someone does it but hopefully, sooner than later.

The default Whats App shows chat heads on my system. You just need to instal "chat heads" from PS and turn it on in settings from accessibility services.
Every messenger and chat softwares will show chat heads by default , if someone pings back.
I'm using "chat heads " from play store by SCOOMPA not bad

It was removed from Google Play. Probably it's a problem of copyright with Facebook's application.

Yeah, it works. It's pretty cool. However, the profile picture (talking about Whatsapp) doesn't show (I don't know why), and it's a little too big (slightly bigger than Facebook's ones). Also, the text box isn't as pretty as facebook one.
I'm waiting for the upcoming ParanoidAndroid Halo (copy of FB Chat Heads for every app! Awesome). But writing this, the idea of tweaking this app to make it nicer just came to my mind, while I wait for ParanoidAndroid update (it could be tomorrow, it could be next month).
Is it the same as this app?

Well, yes now. It looks like this "dev" has gotten the Scoomba's app and updated it, or something. By the logo, the version number structure, and the screenshots, yes it is this one!
Ok thanks. Unfortunately all it does is to display the bubble it's not really a chat, but that's fine.
BTW, Is the apk that was uploaded here safe (not malicious)?

Yes, it's just a bubble.
About safety, I don't know, you'll have to trust deciocavallo... I found the apk before he posted it, I can't remember where.
Anyway, the market app is more updated, although I'm not sure I trust the dev, since the apps look like a copy of the ones by Scoompa... I tried it but I'm uninstalling it now.
PS: If you want to know, I use NotifierPro Plus, which works for all apps and is more customizable (although is not a bubble, but you can make popups or topbar notifications, which are pretty awesome).

Chat Heads
Hi,
I have just published the Whatsapp Chat Heads Notification. You can read messages without updating "last seen time". Here is the market URL:
Please search dregens on Play Store.
If you have good ideas, I will be glad to develop.
Hi,
I would like to share you with this application.
It's called DisableService.
Not only did it solve my GPS Daemon problem but it has also improved my battery quite a bit!
Disable Service helps you to disable services running in the background such as "push service" ,"upload service" or "pull ad service" and so on.

Mine was GTalk.
Go to System Apps/Google Services Framework
Disable GTalk. That was my GPSd problem. I recommend using Wakelock Detector from Pkay Store first if that was not your problem.

It will depend on your application usage. Basically I disabled everything safe running on my background.
What kind of Media Server problems? Can you elaborate? Screenshot if possible.
Why you didn't try greenify? The general wake locks are from google search/now, google maps.
I get no battery drain after this.

I already have Greenify and Greenify Donate Version.
The problem is, it's located at the Google Services Framework and the GTalk wakelock is like Airdroid, even if you hibernate it won't.
I don't know if it's still an issue in Greenify now but I froze mine.
Thanks so much, the app is amazing , at least I can disable unwanted services like checking for updates and so on ...
but I have a question, does disabling gtalk service have any effect on push notifications like whatsapp or facebook notifications ?
I'm sorry I cannot help you but I can tell you that I do disable Gtalk service and Whatsapp has no problem.

Accidentally sent from my Samsung Galaxy Note 2
Hello everyone,
I tried no of things to clear gpsd wakelock to stop consuming battery.
I found one file in system bin, I deleted from root browser, good thing is gpsd doesn't occur in wakelock detector and even in battery screen.
But what I am facing the peoblem is phone gets switched off and will not start with power key. Need to remove battery and then restart aftrt installinh battert. Plz advise whether is did wrong job by deleting gpsd from directory or this kssue is something else.

Hi All,
I have a Tmobile Note 8 with the stock rom and installed all updates. When I search in the App Drawer for "F" the Finder App crashes. It seems Facebook is the cause of this issue. Immediately when I uninstall it, i'm able to pull up results that contain F. Searching for other characters that is contained in Facebook also crashes the app.
Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. This also occurs on my Wife's Note 8.
The Facebook version I have installed is from the Play Store version 157.0.0.38.97. The Finder App version is 7.1.19. Android Version is at 7.1.1.

Thanks for confirming. I also sent the issue to Samsung. Hopefully Facebook/Samsung fixes it soon. I have a few apps beginning with F and looking for it with 50+ apps installed is frustrating.
I have the same problem, when I to disabled Facebook, it goes to the factory version k and the f search works again, but once I re-enable Facebook and try to use it , it ask to update if you want to use the app, which I did and again the problem is back !!!! buy the way it is the same with the K searsh which is resolved at the same time that I disable Facebook. I thought at the beginning that the problem was from Kik app.
Anybody had news from Facebook/Samsung regarding this issue ?

I think it happens with any thing the brings up facebook on the first list of apps. Seems like it has something to do with the Facebook icon.
If you for example use A and then on the application section hit view more as soon as you hit where Facebook would be it crashes.
