The condensation of my ice tea just killed my fingerprint reader - OnePlus 2 General

Hi all,
Just to add to this thread the water left on my finger from my cold ice tea just killed my fingerprint reader.
Pick up glass
Drink
Put glass on table
Try to unlock phone
Phone start freaking at and vibrating like it's being pressed over and over
After messing around had to hard reset it by holding down power
Still goes on
Format cache and dalvik
Fingerprint reader no longer registered
So far I've tried:
Reset to Hydrogen Lollipop (was using Marshmellow at the time)
Reset to OxygenOs Lollipop
Upgrade to OxygenOS Marshmellow
Reset to default recovery
Hard reset the devide
Do *#808* test
Reboot with fingers on scanner
But so far nothing has helped and I will have to contact OnePlus and start a hard and long helpdesk ticket
Serious guys, don't let this thing get wet

Similar thing happened to me, I quickly used a hair dryer. It came back.

Its so sensitive to moisture ... I didint had homebutton fp for almost a month.. Than it came back to life
Sent from my ONE A2003 using XDA-Developers mobile app

I sent mine in for RMA. When I get it back, the OPT is going on sale. F OnePlus, not again.

Same here! I had my phone on my pocket, I was riding on a bicycle, it was hot back then, so it was only natural that I was sweating.
When I returned home, I tried to unlock it, but it wasn't working anymore, along with whole home button.
I have enough of this phone and Oneplus in general.
****ty audio quality through headphones, really bad OS and drivers, this phones lags as hell even on custom kernel. Support is poor as well.
I sent it for a repair, thankfully I have my old Galaxy S3 LTE.
You know what? I installed marshmallow rom with agni kernel, and basically ALL SYSTEM ANIMATIONS are SO FLUID (I can see the 60fps rendering) !! On the 4 years old phone! Of course it's not even a half fast in opening apps, but everything is much more smooth. And audio quality through headphones jack is KILLING the op2 in every aspect.
I will sell my Op2 too when they will repair it.
I think I will buy a meizu pro 6,because really great specs and awesome audio chip.

And why do you want to buy a new phone when a mature Samsung is enough for you?
Sometimes I doubt...

Who said that it's enough? Oh I love over-interpretations.
It isn't at all. I'm using phone as computer when I'm not in home, so device with 2GB of RAM is far from being enough, even if it has superior audio chip (which is very important for me). It has too small screen too.
I'm just saying. It's old device, and it has fluid interface, Op2 is hi end phone and it has laggy interface, which is really annoying.
In addition I had to send it for repair, because it's factory defect on home button and fps, there are tons of threads on op forum about broken home button. I just regret that I bought this phone, I should've wait for a Xiaomi Mi5 or Meizu pro 6 from the beginning.
Oh, not mentioning about 'great' OP devs, which can't release almost pure Android OS for their flagship device in over 6 months!
Marshmallow had deadline for 1st quarter or 2016, and? And they released a beta. Wow. With broken camera on driver level (not app). This bug exist since 2.2.1. And interface is still far from being fluid. It just lags.
They still didn't release sources of their kernel which is illegal, every compiled version of the kernel must come with sources. Where are sources?

OP2 is considered by most a mid to hi range phone this is more due to its price and I love my OP2 I bump cm13 I started out using cm 12 as soon as I got it. I would not have paid for it if it was 450.

Mine want out then came back like 2 months later.

Never Settle... Oh Really

I think the only way to get Opposition to change their tune is to complain....
Lets see no shared source code for the phone. They somehow let the success go to their heads, and think that it was them who made the OnePlus a success and not the independent community.
Based on their response in the past, the only way they change course is if they see a lot of people complaining.
The funniest thing is that the box says "Created together with our fans <3".
But seriously, we know that you are frustrated about this. But don't post it around. It already happends a lot.

I totally disagree. If you don't like the companies behavior or their product you can just buy an iPhone to think different or go for a nice Nokia 5110. Still connecting people those days.
IMHO I think they do a pretty great job for such a small company. The phone has great build quality, superb ingredients, regular software updates and the OS is stable as hell. Just look at that super high end S6 Edge for example. Great piece of metal and glas but laggy as hell compared to our OP2.
For me that's the best smartphone I have had so far and I already shared some invites to some friends and neighbors. And no one so far complained to me about a missing open source git tree.
I agree with you in that way that it would be nice to have CM12 with fingerprint and laser autofocus. But who can blame a company for protecting their work? No big Android manufacturer released their source code as far as I know.

Seems that those who are happy with stock OS haven't ever tried any custom ROM based on CM
That's how the things should be done!
OP2 stock OS (oxygenOS) is crap, hate it.
When I tap on "Phone" app icon why it takes an app about 1 second to launch? Snapdragon 810, 4 gigs of RAM???
Really? What the heck? My 10 year old Nokia 3230 opens phone app with the same speed.
There are a lot of others examples how this ****ty oxygenOS spoil experience with beautiful hardware.
On AICP, for example, "Phone" app launches instantly.
I really miss FP sometimes, hope with CM13 finger print sensor will become functional.
So, phone itself is a superb piece of hardware, but oxygenOS is a piece of ...

It's the oneplus launcher. Try another launcher like Google, nova or even CM launcher. Oxygen OS is basically stock with some customizations which are quite nice and which have nothing to do with performance. You can tweak it pretty much the same way you'd tweak the stock aosp. You can root it, install xposed, replace kernel. You can achieve a very nice result with Oxygen OS.

People who buy OnePlus 2 almost always want to customize it. That's the reason OPT is so easily unlockable and rootable. So for them the out of the box state should not be very important. That doesn't mean that OPT doesn't work out of the box. It works very well within my expectations. I think most of the problems with OPT are exaggerated.
But if you don't want to customize anything, but just enjoy the out of the box experience, OPT is not for you. You'd want a Samsung/LG/Sony phone which is locked down, so that its poor users can't escape the out of the box experience.

See it's simple, OnePlus released enough source code that we could build such a stable CM12
The part where Oneplus can't release code is Autofocus and Fingerprint
Just wait for Marshmallow, since it will use Marshmallow API, we can directly use compiled OOS driver on Cm13 for fingerprint
The only thing I am worried about is LaF
Official Cm 13 is already in work
Check cyanogenmod's Github to see the progress

It seems to me there is no pleasing these people so no point in trying to use any form of logic on them. If it was that simple you could just use points like.
1. The 1+ company is brand new and offering amazing phones at unbeatable values.
2. No phone ever rolls off of the line perfect and bug free and usually takes at least 1 year to fix its major flaws.
3. Lollipop is the worst os Google has ever shoved out since the days of froyo.
4. Kernel sources were released super quickly unlike a lot of its competitors.
5. The fact you now got a fast desktop computer that can fit into your pocket is nothing more than simply amazing. When I was a kid in the early 90's just before the internet I had a pulsar computer which had a 16 mhz processor and 64 mb of ram and only had a 5" floppy disk drive. It came with windows 3.1 and only had 32 bit resolution and that was less than 25 years ago.
6. Be patient you cry babies. Didn't realize that a second of your time was the difference between life and death. Not only is the 1+2 not only a perfectly usable phone and everybody's over exaggerating problems with the device but marshmallow is about 10 days away from booting with 3 devs currently working on it.
I mean for Pete's sake I swear you guys would complain if somebody gave you a hundred dollar bill and it had an ink smudge on it.
Bottom line is you get what you pay for, but if your honestly expecting more bang for your buck than what you already have gotten I wish you the best of luck at finding it because when you get it you might find it not as good as you thought it would be. The 64 GB mi3 version of my phone ran about the same price as the 1+2 does now with a quad core sd801 and miui. Well it's been 2 years now and it only took them over 1 year to release kernel sources, miui has weekly updates that run on KitKat and are still really buggy, it lags down past 20 fps in 3d testing, the screen reacts before I even touch it if I don't have a screen protector on it, the radio in my phone is equivalent to the first gen iPhone (I usually sit between 2 and 3 bars out of 5 while my brothers 1+2 I had just bought for him sits at 3 to 5 it averages 4 bars mainly however it pegs out 5 bars just as often as it drops to 3 bars (I've never seen his lose signal for even a second). My phone will lose signal just driving down the road at times in the wide open rolling plains while his does not traveling in the same vehicle) so trust me for a Chinese phone you invested your money fairly well.
Sorry akexeiz I trailed off there while agreeing with you and got carried away but it needed to be said.

It's just a marketing, guys...

Do you regret buying a OnePlus X?

The OnePlus X looks great, has good specs and a very good price. But I'm reading lots and lots of issues relating to both hardware and software. I don't want to order one and then find it's a buggy piece of junk. I'm looking for a smooth, fast and reliable phone because I'm fed up with my laggy Moto G (1st gen). I've a low tolerance for annoying bugs/faults, and don't want to be disappointed if I buy a OPX
So the question is.. are you happy with your OPX, or do you regret buying it?
I'm happy with it, but you should know that X stands for Experimental. Oneplus has made a lot of choices there that may not fit the lambda customer. As a developer that like to flash roms and kernel, i'm happy!
But there are a lot of issues currently, and the performance are not that good (OxygenOS rom is pretty young). That will be fixed eventually but it will likely take some months...
No regrets here. Mainly because I don't consider software issues as a real problem. It's fixable. Anytime, anywhere. OnePlus even tolerant to rooting/unlocking. I've tried most expensive phones, like Xperia Z5, S6, and all of them had hardware issues. Which is most unlikely with OPX. But in your "low tolerance for annoying bugs/faults" case, I'd wait for a month or so until couple more OTAs out and bought OPX. In case you are inpatient, chose another phone.
It's an amazing phone, however, like others have said. Oxygen OS, is pretty much in a nightly stage. There's some lag that shouldn't exist on a phone with an 801 & 3GB of ram. The camera software needs some optimization. But these are all software issues that can be corrected. Once we have custom ROMs the true potential of the phone will be unleashed.

Only wish it had more memory. I can't use the MicroSD expansion because I need the slot for dual SIM.
wouldn't want to go back to my previous phone (xiaomi mi4)
Absolutely no,
Had a Oneplus One and a Samsung Galaxy S5
and the X is a whole different feeling, its just so stylish and I havent noticed any lags or performance issues at all.
Hi. I sold my Samsung Note3 because it was getting too big for use. I started to look for phone with 5 inch display, with amoled technology, with 3 gigs of ram and micro sd slot, and then OnePlus X came to show. And i dont regret of buying that device. It is slightly worse than Note3, i mean battery and camera, allso performance, but hey, that phone costs half price of new Note3. And that is something right?
No. I dont regret, and im happy that we will receive android 6.0 - note3 will not... that was also one of reasons of buying new phone.
The OnePlus X is a beautiful phone, feels and looks like a premium handset and the screen is amazing.
However, I am shamed to admit that mine has been sitting in the box in my drawer pretty much since I received it on 11th November. Disappointed.
Everytime I get it out for a play there is some sort of micro stutter or a bit of lag that annoys me that just doesn't occur on my HTC One M8 although the specs are virtually identical. I am just holding out for the custom ROMs that are on the way and hope they improve the whole experience because I can't see me giving up my HTC otherwise .
Seems there are happy users amongst the people with complaints, which is good to see. I like the OPX, I think I might just give it a try. I'll definitely be using a custom ROM once something stable is developed
I love the phone, but am in a weird situation.
I am in the minority where I had a chinese bootloader unlock screen...these phones are unable to flash twrp. The ability to flash custom roms is why I want this phone and what would make it great, but I am not able to do that. Hopefully a fix will be found.
Wait & See
Hi all,
I can't say I regret my OPX.
But I must admit my Nexus 5 was just perfect for :
- stability (stock non rooted),
- lag (simple: zero lag, anywhere, any app)
- games (such as FPSE + OpenGL -> zero lag with N5, lag and framerate pb with OPX)
- Bluetooth chipset: best compatibility with N5 (lag issue for OPX + Madcatz C.T.R.L.r but not with OPX + MOGA pocket)
- ROM (But as some said before, OPX and OxygenOS are still young. I'm still waiting for an AOSP or a CM to get better memory/CPU management)
According to design, it's a very subjective part... Let's say N5 is sober, and OPX seems to be more valuable (...iPhone-ish style...)
So, I'm not disappointed of OPX, but I still keep my N5 near me: if CM or AOSP don't fix lag/stability issues, I think I'll go back to N5. (...even if it has a poor battery life!)
Wait & see so!
[EDIT]
Made my choice: bought nano sim -> micro sim adaptater to go back to my perfect Nexus 5.
I'll wait until CM stable release, to see if stability/memory/CPU/bluetooth issues are solved... But I'm pretty sure nothing will ever equal a stock Nexus...
I'm actually really disappointed in the software aspect. The phone's touch is pretty bad after the 2.1.3 update of OxygenOS. The keyboard typing is extremely ****! I can't even type properly without having to repeatedly fix and retype the words. They need to fix this issue as its major. Instead of fixing bugs with updates... They just create new ones.
Kind of, just not happy with Sim slot
Well, I couldn't be more satisfied with this device.
Just one problem, they should've given a separate slot for memory card.
Earlier I used to use separate sims for Data and Calling, but now I have to move to single sim, and realized my operator's 3G network is very bad.

My moto x pure is my daily driver. My opx is just sitting in the box debating on sending it back because of the enormous amount of complaints and issues being reported on this forum and OPs forum.
Sent from my XT1575 using XDA Free mobile app
Amazon took back my Moto x (2013) because it rebooted anytime it felt so and Motorola after sale care services failed to fix it (I am not sure they even care to try to fix it but that's another story).
When I bought the OPX I was fully aware that :
Camera was going to be bad
Autonomy was not going to be a strength
Storage was 16 go
It was not the most powerful newly released device
Still I went for it for many reason :
the size. My previous smartphone, 4,7" already felt a bit too big in my hands. I couldn't even imagine going for the 5,4" of the Moto Play and I didn't want the Moto X 2nd gen because the device is already a year old and I am pretty sure that if I were to have a problem with it i'd have the same kind of warranty than with my previous phone. I'd prefer my phone fixed than refunded.
I wanted a nice user experience, since Motorola provided an awesome one on Moto X. And OnePlus seemed to have put just what I was looking for in the OPX.
amoled screen
enough power for most of the things I like to do on a smartphone
headphone sound is pretty good
I didn't care about the design. I don't even like it it is nothing as ergonomic as my previous phone. And I don't care glass makes it look premium and stuff. I use cases.. But I admit the phone is eye-candy,
Since I have it I found out camera is really really bad, worse than my Moto X. So that you know. I won't blame anyone on that since as I said I knew it and anyway I have a nice canon camera that I 'd like to use
I don't use the sd card. I am happy with the 16Go so far so I don't know if it is really buggy or not but anyway OP seems to work on every bug people report so I am not worried.
So the only bug I found so far is that awful lag when you switch to and back from airplane / flight mode. It's a matter of seconds. 5? 7 maybe? But still really annoying.
I didn't update to 2.1.3 os version because too many people complained about it so everything is smooth on my phone. Even in the games I play. But I don't play heavy ones like asphalt. Though I tried hearthstone and it ran as smoothly as on my Moto X.

Is your phone running Hydrogen? Have you tried flashing stock OxygenOS - apparently you can do it over stock HydrogenOS without root etc; my Chinese OPX came with Oxygen preflashed and I was able to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP no worries.
I'm loving my OnePlus X, but it's not perfect. This is my first non-htc Android phone and I'm finding it better than my old m7 J One in many ways, but the camera is subpar and the battery life isn't great even with the dark theme.

Planning to buy opt

Ok so I've had enough of sammy phones. now i am planning to buy opt to be honest this is the only phone in my view right now.
but i read a lot about "home" and "fingerprint" not working or stopped working in few weeks or so.
i have a two questions regarding opt.
Should i buy this smartphone? If so why?
Is fingerprint and home button issue related to software or hardware?
its a good phone for the price. Development and updates are gonna come soon now, so you almost picked the perfect time. My fingerprint and homebutton has always been working fine and all I did was unlock, root and install some kernels for now. I think the problems are hardware related though. To be honest. If you can affort it, definitely go for a nexus 6p.
Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk
im planning also to get this device, im confused if the 1+2 or the Redmi Note 3 pro.
It depends if you want a clean stock Android interface go for opt, if you want miui then go for mi note pro 3.
I personally would go for opt.
Sent from my ONE A2003 using Tapatalk
Avoid it. I sold my OPT after 6 months. Fingerprint doesn't work as soon as any moisture touches it. No real developer interest - looks at the threads to see all the devs who left. The price used to be a great draw until the Nexus price drops. And at the end of the day, nothing will fix the SD 810 which is an overheating mess. It just doesn't work.
If price matters, get the N5X. If you want the best phone right now, get the S7 Edge.

unless you get a used one on swappa or ebay for a deal, don't get it. I sold mine, Oxygen OS is terrible and even though there are custom roms where FP and LAF work, they are buggy. Wait for the Oneplus 3 or settle back for the original Oneplus One.
Love my OPT bought it in october and dont understand all the hate. Great overall experience. I ise exodus rom no bugs at all. But again all user choice. ?
Nexus 5 over heats way more than this device. fp and laf works perfect for me (only tested cm13 and exodus, though)
It's a great device, just buy it and dont think about it. The fingerprint Sensor is working awesome, much faster than the iPhone one. With the 3.0 update everything runs buttery smooth
I'd say it's really a gamble if you're buying the OPT since their tech support is flaky at best. The hardware specs are reasonable for the price and there are some good devs out there like Lord Boeffla and his kernel, however you will also have huge issues if your phone develops hardware problems. For example - some owners have setup a twitter account recently to badger Oneplus as they can't get any response from the local and official support channels after encountering hardware issues. I'd suggest taking the Nexus 5x instead as it is around the Oneplus price range and LG is a much larger and established company which will take RMA and support issues seriously.
my oneplus2 just arrived
I gotta say OS 3.0 on my OPT made the phone a million times better. Everything is super fast now and FP is even faster. Better life is much better now with 3.0. Before the update I wanted to throw the phone at the wall for all lags

Exactly my expreience as well. With the OOS 3.0 beta it's like a completely new phone. It doesn't get warm at all, the performance is actually what you would expect from a Snapdragon 810 and the battery life is what you would expect from 3300mAh. It was always kind of held back by the ****ty software but with the 3.0 beta working really well and official cyanogenmod on the way, I can't think of a better phone at this price.
I've had my OP2 since they were first released, and have to say I'm still really happy with it. As mentioned by others, OOS3 (and the recent CM13 builds) have made performance 10 times better, and have no major complaints. Never had any problems with the home button or anything else. It's a steal at the price, imo
Don't buy it. Unless they've changed their design around the home button/FP, its going to fail.

Trust me, I tried all the software tricks none of them worked for me.

This or OnePlus 5 ?

I am ready for a new phone... The title about sums it up...
In Holland the preorder XZ1 comes with a BT headphone... I am temped to go for it, but I am not sure if 4 GB of RAM will be sufficient. Thoughts anyone?

I have a sony z3 and I think that 4gb are enough for nearly every use.
My phone is still fast even with and old cpu and 3gb of ram. I'm changing it for the headphone and because I have 16gb of internal memory
The OnePlus 5 felt like a big disappointment for me. I was using a OnePlus 3T and decided to do the upgrade to the 5 because I had someone buy my 3T for a pretty good price. The disappointment with the OP5 started with the fact that the camera was a MAJOR let down. They hyped it so much, but in fact performed no better than the OP3. The 2nd let down is the lack of water resistance. I got OP5 right when I went on a family vacation and it bothered me that my wife was able to take her iPhone 7 to the water and I couldn't. The last reason for my decision to return it was OPs stance on OS upgrades. Seems more iffy than Samsung's. As for the memory, I had the 8GB model and yes, it's great to have because apps stay open, but it doesn't affect how quick the UI is (in comparison to the XZ1).
Anyway, I ended up with an unlocked Samsung S8+ but I returned it as well because the long screen and weird aspect ration makes using the phone really hard. Also, the phones stuttered a lot (thanks to Sammy's bloatware) and the Bixby physical button will drive you CRAZY. Bixby is crap (compared to Google Assistant) but you can't avoid clicking on the damn button because it's so close to the volume down button. Last but not least, the fingerprint reader is in the most inconvenient location.
Hope this helps.

Very usefull Thanx. So what are you using now?
I already made up my mind and will go for the XZ1. I really liked (and always liked) the Sony design and don't mind the bezels at all... plus in pre-order you get a BT headphone which was on my wish list for a while.. win-win imo
Sure thing.
I actually ended up getting the XZ1. I've alway been a fan of Sony's design and unique aspect. I also don't mind the bezels in the least bit, especially since I I didn't find the S8+ that user friendly, always felt like I was bending my thumb downward or stretching it up in an unnatural fashion.
Can't beat the free BT headhphones. Obviously don't have that option in the US, especially since I got an international version on eBay anyway.

I'm thinking about getting the xz1 as well. I live in the US and use AT&T, but I noticed that the xz1 doesn't have band 30 for network. Do you guys know how much that will affect coverage? I don't really care for wifi calling and volte otherwise

Most phones except OP and Note have 4gb of ram. Even s8 which has a lot of stuff to run.
My opinion is that if Google phones of the year have 4gb then it is sufficient...

Okay... so that went fast, phone looks great, but I have dicided to put it up for sale... I don't like the screen, have issues with wifi, and Bluetooth FC when I turn it off and also when I try to use the buttons of the connected headset (play, pause, volume) I sometimes does not respond. The overall feel is that Sony might have been better of to wait with presenting the phone with Oreo out of the box...
I have aimed my arrows for the OP5T. Meanwhile I am using the OP3T again... sorry Sony... I do like the headphone tough

Nexus 6P the last fun phone on XDA?

Is it just me or is the Nexus 6p the last real flashers paradise? I feel this phone got supported to the moon and back for ROMs and kernels and even now still continues to get so much love. Heck there are more pie ROMs on the forums for this phone then phones that actually officially got pie.
It's really making me hesitant to upgrade even though I just unfortunately got plagued with the blod two weeks ago. Running a nice pie rom with the occasional reboot but heck I'm still having a good time. What's everyone else whose still rocking a 6p thinking?
I just got one because the used prices are unbelievable on this thing.
I've had audio issues since the beginning (low volume on earpiece and muffled audio through mic), so I cannot use this phone as a phone without using wired or wireless headsets.
Everything else has been great. Good camera, nice screen, premium body.
I am looking forward to the day when I will buy a new phone and start making calls with confidence
By far the best phone I have ever owned!!! And I have had every Galaxy from the s2 and note 1 to the s7 and note 6. And a LG g2x. I didn't even root this phone till a few month ago. It just worked fine the way it was. The only reason I rooted was because I knew end of life updates was approaching and so I wanted to continue on with lineage 15.1 and soon 16.
The 6p just went in for a new battery because my wife has it now. I was gifted a og pixel. So far the pixel is a great phone too

Totally true. The prices took a deep dive over the last month. Refurbished going for $60 to $80. Be aware refurbished doesn't mean a new battery. Have fun while it lasts or be willing to shell out an extra $50 minimum. It's a solid buy even with a battery repair.
Yes and No. 6T has plenty of activity for a phone just released. If you check Github, 6T already has repos for device for LineageOS based ROMs and AOSP ROMs. There are already custom kernels available. Anyone who can follow instructions on the wonderful tutorials posted on XDA can start porting any ROM to 6T.
The add-on and mods is thriving already. Quick look? 6T stereo speaker mod, uses the earpiece speaker to create stereo sound. Ported Pixel cam to 6T to get the nightmode and HDR+ for 6T. Notification light mod using ambient display to compensate for lack of notification LED. Changing color and animation for the on-screen fingerprint. There are more, it's active.
And have to consider this. For a lot of the 6T users on XDA, the OxgenOS is already the best Android OS available. I'm likely to be in the same boat, from what I've seen, I don't see any reason to use a custom rom. I'll flash a custom kernel, magisk, adblocker, the stereo speaker mod and the Pixel Camera. With that, it's the closest to perfect SD 845 equipped large phablet on the market.

Im think and feel like you OP.This is "The One" for me.Is a elegant device, good display, octa core and i had not mention yet the biggest reason why i love the 6P.....THE SPEAKERS!!!! I mean, right now theres not a single device out there that sound better than my 6P.Everytime i use YouTube around public you then can see people looking for that awesome sound. It is like they thinking " what the fu#$ is that"..lol.I change the battery 4 month ago and still running with 8 cores(default).I went a little far about this and bought the HTC 10,the ZTE axon 7 mini and Sony Xperia Performance.Do you guys know why? Because all of those devices have front stereo speakers. Then i begin to root all those devices to be able to use Viper. In the end, theres not competition for the 6P.Im using pie rom,and i will keep using this bad boy until it dies.

Yup, I've done the same. I've put the Pixel Experience Rom on my Nexus 6P and it works a treat. Still a good phone in 2019 despite being three years old. Oh yeah also, dual front facing stereo speakers and a gorgeous quad HD screen on a phone which came out 3 years ago! You still don't see that with phones being released now at what the Nexus 6P costs. Them 2 features alone make this device stand out, except for the battery/early shutdown problems which i don't have
