Regret on buying Optimus One

I bought Optimus One in March (from India. I live in India) and I regret that since I knew that high-end android devices are available at a much cheaper rate like the nexus one was available in the US for about the same price as I bought my Optimus One.
Anyone else regret on buying this device?

Nexus one was never sold at the cost of Optimus one. Not even now. I don't know how you got that news.

we all would have thought like that once before knowing about contracts....
Absolutely no.
I bought it almost at day-one in my country, at that time it was the best deal to get a nice smartphone at an affordable price. Of course, technology developes and prices drop, it's nothing new.

Exactly. If you plan to buy a low cost smartphone and at the same time you want to be in "fashion" then you must buy something that is really recently released or else head for a high end device.
I bought my p500 7-8 months ago and at that time it was propably the best deal for its value. If I had to buy a low end device today then things would have been different.

I don't regret buying the phone because the phone is quite easy to overclock to a high-end device.
2 weeks after i bought this fone in august, the optimus one's price here in the philippines dropped some $45. now over a month after, new budget models came out...like the optimus net, etc. but am i regretting? Nope.
those who havent stumbled upon xda or were not brave enough to tinker with their OP1s, they might be pulling their hairs right now if they bought theirs the same time i did.
good thing this forum exists and thrives. and with our resident devs who churn out roms and kernels too often, and with forum members always out there ready to help helpless noobs like myself, i couldn't find any reason for regrets!

Lol I bought my phone in April last week for 8.7k ;-) best deal

I bought it in July, long after it was first released, but when reviewing options I still found it the best Android phone in its price range with great developer support that allows us to unleash a performance on par with high-end devices. So no, no regrets.
Even if I were to buy a phone today, it'll still be in the shortlist. In fact the only phone I'm tempted to get over O1 currently (aside from O1's successors like Net/Hub) is Huawei X5, which seems to have shorter battery life that comes with all the higher specs.

LG phones

How many people would rather stay with LG than switching to samsung, htc, iphone, etc...Ive been wanting a better phone lately...something with alot more ram, more internal storage, bigger screen, armv7 ...so which LG phones could i invest my money into.keep in mind i have tmobile

Although I've had nothing but good experiences with lg phones, I don't believe in brand loyalty. If a different company is offering a better deal then in my opinion, you should go with them. Personally i think the galaxy ace 2 looks really good, it's high end hardware with a decent price, if it was available in canada I probably would've bought it by now. If you're dead set on an LG, I'd recommend staying away from the optimus L3, L5, L7, and black as they really aren't much of an upgrade compared to the optimus one. The optimus 2x and 4x look alright but they're probably still fairly expensive for what they are.
Galaxy ace plus and mini 2 are also awesome, and got JB update

If you're talking about the GT-S7500, then it's a great phone hardware-wise, but it's got horrible, horrible aftermarket developer support. You can't even find CM7.2 for the damn phone. Hopefully the rumors of an official JB update is true. Also, I don't know if this is true of most Samsung phones, but the Ace Plus is really sensitive to being flashed and easily bricked. Rooting and flashing a custom ROM on my A+ was more nerve wracking (since I didn't have a usb jig should things go wrong) than the time I bricked my O1 for 2 days.

Well, as i'm sure that HTC and Samsung probably have better phones, LG offers good phones in low prices comparing to those of other companies.

I know that some have speculated that it might be $400. I just hope than it has 16gb not 8gb.
PS I wish I could get the Xiaomi Mi-Two ($315). http://www.anandtech.com/show/6163/xiaomi-announces-miui-phone-mitwo-with-apq8064-inside
I have loved my p500 but have used my partners S3 and would definitely get one of those if I could afford it, also my brother has an HTC one X and would also recommend one of those, I like the sense UI a lot.

LG Optimus 4X HD or LG Optimus VU?

Hi all, I am getting a new phone pretty soon and am trying to decide between the LG Optimus 4X HD or Optimus VU.
Note that Optimus VU is the international one which is the tegra 3 quad core and not the dual core.
I have been a LG fan for a while now! They make great phones but slow on updates but I am not a person to fuss over that because this is what XDA is made for.
So can anyone tell me what to get and which one is better?
Question to Devs of XDA: why is there not a LG Optimus VU thread on XDA?
Wait for sometime n get a lg nexus 4
I only gave myself 2 choices and that's the 2...and my country isn't famous for its nexus sales

I have LG optimus 4X HD.. Id do this: Wait for nexus 4.
LG optimus 4x hd has a locked bootloader, u can't install roms, themes, kernels etc.. You have a totally locked phone.. just like the crappy iphone. You can ofcourse do more with the android phone.. but its not worth it. Get the Nexus 4.

Note II Or Optimus G?

Hi I currently Have a Note II and was looking into the Optimus G. I think the Note II is a great phone but I think its too large for me. And the optimus G looks like a nice phone with a good size. What do you think...Optimus G or Note II?
Thanks
Size is the factor here. You say you don't like the size of the Note II, so get the Optimus G. You answered your own question.

optimus G has great specs, but I have a really hard time trusting LG products. play with it and judge for yourself- it's a good phone if you think it's not going to be buggy.
Why not the Nexus 4?

Hey guys,
Does anyone know about a stylus pen that support the G3 D855, 32 GB version. Already tried a unversal model but it's not that sensitive.
If you haven't got a stylus with your g3 so you should use lg g3 without it bro.
