Is there a way to make Greenify hibernate an app when the user closes it by swiping it from recents?
Sorry, there's no Android API for this purpose.

Sad that an api doesn't exist for this. It would make usage on low end phones so much better.

There's also apps from marketplace I use. It doesn't hide the apps but it locks it and requires u to enter unlock code or pattern. The one i use is a paid app but i think there might be free ones

when we greenify an app with this tool then all the processes of the greenified app stops running in background... when we launch the greenified app again then it again starts showing in the "running apps" section under settings option of the phone.... DOES IT MEAN THAT I HAVE TO AGAIN GREENIFY IT WITH THIS TOOL???

No. That's the whole point of Greenify. Each app will re-hibernate after a short period of time. If it didn't go into running apps, you wouldn't be able to open the app. Greenify will hibernate the app a short time after you finish using it.

You cant. It will hibernate each app as it is no longer in use.
Plz let me know if there is any ways to stop running some apps in background (like poweramp) and force it to just run as I manually open it and after closing stop running in background.
Use greenify to hibernate all user apps

Hello all
I have just returned to android after a spell with an iPhone 5s.
With the ios version of Facebook messenger you have the ability to pull to refresh but it appears this is not available on the android version. Or am I missing something?
A Google search did not really help
Thanks

I think you are missing something, it's been a standard feature for as long as I can remember?
Just had a flick through my settings nothing seems required to enable it?
Have you updated?

Thank you Curioct
Made me try again and you have to pull on the top half of the screen. I was always going for the bottom half.
Thank you

As the title says, I've found some great alternatives to my Messaging and Phone apps and would like to know if I can uninstall those apps and only use my alternatives?

Depends on the app. Just freeze it first and see if it causes issues. If it doesn't then delete it to free up space

I'll give it a shot. Thanks.
EDIT: Freezing the app disabled the actual call functionality from the entire phone, even from the user app PixelPhone Pro. Is there no way to disable just the stock phone interface without disabling it functionality?

You can disable certain components of apps using root. Like, if you don't want to see the default messaging app you can disable that activity. In your case, you can disable the dialer activity and it won't show up in your activity drawer, it also won't be launchable from other apps either, yet the rest of the app is still fully functional.
