Just got my G5 yesterday after having the G2 for around two years anyway.
Opened my G5 and went to plug into my PC then realised my old charger dont fit! The G5 uses the new type-C port, after getting the lead out of the box and hooking my phone up i left it for 10 mins, looked at my phone and realised it wasn't charging! ..... I unplugged and re-plugged only to see it charge for a second then stop. At first i started to think it was a broken battery but decided to swap from charging only to file transfer then it started to charge, I was just wondering is the above normal?
Ive set to phone to always go to file transfer when i charge and its charging fine now.

For the past couple of days I've been having problems with my phone charging. When my phone is plugged in, it will go from recognizing the cord to not recognizing the cord if I move it at all. Even with the phone plugged in, sometimes it will still not charge even with the charging symbol on in the ROM. I left my phone to charge for about 8 hours last night, LED on and ROM saying it was charging, but I woke up to a 0% battery. I did a little bit of searching and found a micro-usb cord lying around, so I plugged it in (the kind that doesn't fit quite right). I'm able to get the charging LED to come on, albeit inconsistently. I'm not sure if my usb port is broken, my ROM, or I just need a new and correctly fitting cord. Is there a way I can find out? If it matters I'm running Counter-Shrike v3.1 if it matters any.
Hello!
I recently bought a S6 Edge for my little brother (1 week ago).
As he returned from school in the weekend (Boardschool) I surprised him with a fully charges S6 Edge (Left it charging for a day).
As monday he went back to school (They can only use the phones in their rooms) he left it charging monday night)
The phone was not charged teusday morning. (using the original charger and OTG cable).
He tried with his laptop, another power plug and nothing worked.
This weekend now I tried with a Qi charger and it started charing.
After a full night Qi charing his phone is at 100%
The phone doesnt get detected by my computer either. Seems like the microUSB port is broken, but he barely had the phone... And you know how you handle a brand new expensive phone, right?
I checked for dust, nothing changed.
Im not in the mood to send the phone back right now, so I wonder if anyone encountered this problem and maybe fixed it.
Thanks,
PV-
same thing just happened to me..did you find a fix by any chance?
same as you body, but i dident want to go in repair shop because i dont want to open my phone so i decided to buy a wireless charger and is working good until now with a little problem that is a slow way to charge a phone In a mean time if you dont have a wireless charger try to turn off your phone and plugged in charger repeat this until it works because my S6 sometimes it works sometimes not (alternative buy a battery case)... hope i was helpful for you, have great day.
Went for a 4hr road trip, had the aux cord connected to my phone and then plugged in a micro USB cord to USB in the car port when it got to 20%. Phone charged like 2% in an hour, then finally died after I stopped and shopped around. I plugged it in, 20 minutes later it was at 2%, I turned it on to figure out where I was on the GPS, and it died again. Now in my hotel, using a non-LG charger and the phone isn't responding that it's charging.
If I press the power button, the second screen light bleed shows, but nothing else. If I plug it in the computer, I can hear the computer recognize it.
Did I hurt the battery or is the phone really drained and just taking awhile to charge due to it being a non-LG charger?
I have the LG adapter, just not the cable that came with it.
Edit: Decided to remove the battery and put it back in, turns out it did fully charge and now is working. Guess I don't know what happened.
Glad you sorted it out. Maybe you could edit the topic title then
I've had my leMax2 for just over a month now, as of yesterday I noticed that the phone was not holding charge. If I unplug & re plug, it will start to charge again, then after I while, it either stops charging or is very slow. Not been able to charge over 30%
Fast/normal charge makes no difference.
Has anyone had this problem?
I've ordered new USB C cables, hoping that's the fault.
My H850 frequently stops accepting charge, and then allows the battery to discharge to empty even with the charger connected. When I put it on the charger at the end of the day I hear the charging tone and it starts to charge, but in the morning the charge level is lower than when I connected it, and occasionally the battery is completely empty.
I've checked the charger and battery contacts and can't see any sign of lint or other debris. The charger and cable both work fine with a tablet, so I assume they're fine.
Any ideas??
Your battery has gone bad. Purchasing a new one on Amazon or ebay is your best option.

Sounds like a possible bad usb port on the charging chin. Or battery does it break connections if jiggled around?
I have the same problem with my spare battery (which I bought a few months ago as part of the LG kit). Interestingly I have a Qualcomm 3.0 certified Anker charger on my desktop which seems to keep it charged fine overnight, so maybe it's just a problem with non-certified chargers (although it was working fine until a couple of weeks ago).
The USB battery connection seems OK - if I jiggle it around I don't lose the charging connection. But then when it's charging overnight it's always sitting still on a flat surface, and I check that it's charging as soon as I lay it down.
