HI hope someone can help me with this, i have tried without success to unlock my bootloader, i have updated to hboot 1.02 but when i try to do the fastboot flash unlocktoken Unlock_code.bin it sits at 0percent and doesn't move and no errors, i've tried this with my goldcard in and out of the phone and with cyanogen and b08 roms, also for some reason i can't flash the stock rom so i can get the required update from htc(thinking that's y the unlock code won't go), i've tried getting numerous ruu's and i was getting signature verification fails every time, i tried with windows the exe and also exracted the rom.zip and still no luck, i prefer using linux and adb though and tried numerous ways to get this to work with no success, i've also tried signing a rom.zip and the phone just says no signature, also tried renaming to LEGEIMG.zip and update.zip and just can't flash stock rom, also made a new goldcard thinking the other was bad and did the htcdev for the unlock code with a goldcard and without, also tried the ruu.exe in windows with new said goldcard and i think the other was bad because i get a different error now for reason it can't update my rom(was using the rom i originally rooted with which has sense). it says wrong bootloader version when i try and update, anyone know what i can do, i'm running outta ideas, thanks in advance
I Unlocked my bootloader with HTCdev. You said you tried. What went wrong?
If you have updated your phone to one of the ruus HTC gives you ( execute the exe ), there shouldn't be any problem : the HTC guide is clear and easy. If you have successuffly unlocked the bootloader, now you have to flash the clockwork recovery.
when i go to fastboot it stays on copying at 0 percent with the unlock_code.bin....My phone has root access before i ran the hboot update and still does but i can't flash the new ruu, it won't allow me to, i tried running the htc ruu and it fails with can't update, bootloader version incorrect, i tried with the b-08 rom, i can't get back to stock
Have you tried flashing this? ----> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1497357
If you don't install one of the updates given by HTC, bootloader unlock won't work. If you have the same problems that I had ( my Legend also wasn't rooted ) the RUUs won't install, right? I flashed first this one and then one of the HTC RUUs and after this everything worked perfectly.
nope, i didn't try that one yet, but the thing is my legend was rooted before i tried flashing these htc ruus, i just want my bootloader unlocked, i had cyanogen on it then flashed a rooted one with sense (b08) thinking that would let me update but it didn't, so i'm downloading that one you pointed me to now, i'll try and flash it and let you know how it goes.
When i flash that rom i get a main version is older error when i rename it to LEGEIMG and flash it via fastboot, what can i do now?
I followed Blayo's guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=22613990&postcount=62 with my already rooted Legend. Try to follow exactly. You said using a gold card - don't think this is even necessary. At least I did not use one, and it is working perfectly.
After flashing the new bootloader, did you really unlock?
(last step of guide above: follow the instructions on HTCdev from Step 8 to unlock)
Wait, all the RUUs you have to flash before unlocking are HTC's executable files ( .exe ). You have updated your phone executing them, haven't you? After that I just rebooted my phone to fastboot and connected it. I found the unlock code, sent it to HTCdev, received an e-mail with the file to complete unlock and then unlocked. I never used anything like UPDATE.zip or LEGEIMG. I tried following the BlaYo's instructions but they didn't work for me. I just did what HTC said ( easyer and safer ).
hmmmmm

i solved my problem, i sold the phone and bought another legend. LOL, no seriously though, i did sell it and got another but i tried everything and couldn't unlock bootloader, i tried the exe files from htc, tried extracting the zip files, tried fastboot and renaming to LEGEIMG, just couldn't get it unlocked, so i flashed the latest cyanogen 7.2 and sold the darn thing, now i got another and made 50$ in the process as i bought the new one 50$ cheaper and i'm going to go through the htc channels to unlock the bootloader but does anyone know if i'll be able to flash cm7 after i do that?
bootloader

What do you mean with 'rooting again'? Once you have unlocked bootloader, you are able to flash a recovery, and then CM, which is rooted. See http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=24102979 for latest Recovery and latest CM7.2 builds
Ok just to update i flashed the HTC dev bin file again and had restore cm7 backup and bootloader is unlocked once again.
got her goin good now, unlocked bootloader with htcdev, fastboot flashed cwm, then i was able to flash cm7.2 and gapps no problem at all, now if we could only s-off the legend???

Because it's still not totally unlocked

After unlocking boot loader:
1. Use htcsupertoolv3 to root
2. Install rom manager and titanium backup
3. Run titanium backup. It will ask you to update su. accept (i'm not sure if this step is required, but this is how i done it)
4. Copy recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-legend to your Android folder created during bootloader unlock
5. With your phone on fastboot mode open terminal in your PC android folder and type:
fastboot flash recovery recovery-clockwork-5.0.2.0-legend.img
Your phone will go to recovery mode.
6. Reboot your phone in normal mode
7. From now on, each time you want to go into recovery, use rom manager
Done

So for what I have understood from HTCdev, you can do everything similar to S-OFF, with one exception: you cannot unlock a SIM lock.

True, you can't. I'm not sure if flashing a custom rom will unlock it, as my phone sim card was unlocked from very beginning. Probably not?
i rooted my Flyer via this guide but nothing works: busybox, root explorer, titanium. i don't have root access, although superuser is installed.
HELP please...
First you need to unlock bootloader of your device. You can do it through revolutionary site or htcdev.com
Then go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1870652 and try Quick Root. It root your device in a few minutes. Have a nice rooting

You can download busybox installer from play store and try different versions of busybox try older versions. Also if you are using Titanium backup click on "having problems" and it will also install busybox for you.
Another thing you can do is install supersu and update binary. Cheers
What about bootloader? Have u unlocked it? Did u s-offed?
i don't have s-off. but i understood something: somehow i managed to make it work, i mean when in root checker, when i pushed "verify root" it asked superuser permission. but after i connected with pc to put an apk file it didn't work. i can't understand why this happens and if i fix this can i connect to pc again without broking?
forgot to mention: i unlocked the bootloader when trying a guide and i installed busybox (1.21) before root broke down again...please HELP

OK. My personal advice. Find the RUU that suits your device. Just Google it. Lock your bootloader. For that put your device into the fastboot and enter: fastboot oem lock. And install RUU.
Then go to htcdev.com and unlock your bootloader.
Using QuickRoot tool root your device.
I think this is smoothest in your case.

According to your CID your device made for Eastern Europe.
1. First of all make a gold card of your EXTERNAL not INTERNAL SD. How to make a gold card. Make it using card reader.
2. Gogle and download OFFICIAL RUU. For example RUU_Flyer_HTC_WWE_2.23.405.3_R_Radio_20.3504.30.089BU_3809.07.04.06_M_release_204108_signed.exe
3. Run RUU on your computer.
That's it.
i made the gold card, i installed ruu, but i used revolutionary to s-off. however, when trying to flash superuser with recovery, it showed me a phone with a triangle and an exclamation mark. i tried unlocking bootloader, but when tiping "fastboot oem get_identifier_token" it sais command error.

Hi there,
You should flash custom recovery.
I just bought a att htc one off Craig's list and it is tampered/relocked. The phone boots straight into fastboot and there is no operation system on phone. I tried to use ruu to get it back to stock but it freezes at checking hash 5percent. I also tried to fastboot the ruu zip but it had an error verify 12 signatures. Are there any other suggestions that I could try to get an os back on this phone or is this phone pretty much bricked?
Unlock bootloader, install twrp recovery, sideload a rom zip.
There are numerous existing threads that describe how to do each step, just spend a little time reading first.

I don't think I can unlock the relocked bootloader without the token correct? Is there any other way to unlock a locked bootloader without the htcdev token?

Yes, you'll need an unlock token.
Hello ?
I'm looking to root my m4 aqua E2303 6.0.1 Bootloader unlock: yes
However I don't want any twrp stuff, last time I rooted this phone I found something on this forum, connected my phone to a pc via USB ran an exe and it got rooted it was soooo simple, and everything worked great, however after Sony released the firmware update(from 5.0.0 to 6.0.1) root dissappeared. Isn't there a similar tool for 6.0.1? I really don't want to get into all the twrp stuff and ehhh you understand, I want to keep it simple.
Thanks in advance.

in Android 6.0.1 Without Unlock Bootloader is Impossible, but if you have Unlock Bootloader Use it,( Just Flash boot.img) : http://forum.xda-developers.com/m4-aqua/general/root-twrp-sony-xperia-m4-aqua-t3503369
And you can try KingoRoot Soft for root without Unlockbootloader

My phone doesn't react at all
I haven't manually unlocked the Bootloader it's so hard and time consuming to download all those programs.
I want only the root nothing else.

I just open a command prompt in the adb folder and type it, it says command line is not allowed even if I try doing it in the administrator rights.
First it says max file size
,,OKAY"
Loaded(0.703seconds)
....,,boot"
Failed(command line is not allowed)
Something similar to this.
What am I doing wrong? How can I check if I actually unlocked the Bootloader(pretty sure I did)
So weird.

THIS GUIDE IS FOR THE MOTO G6 PLUS ONLY
1: Preparing to Unlock Bootloader
Moto does a fine job of breaking down how to unlock the bootloader, but they do not give you much information on using the adb and fastboot programs that are part of the "Android Software Developer Kit(SDK) Platform Tools" which contain over 700+ files. For the procedures listed in this guide, we only need 2 files, adb and fastboot. XDA Moderator @hackslash has created a tool to simplify using adb and fastboot that doesn't include the other 700+ files you don't need.
1A. ADB and Fastboot Installer for Windows - (Download) - When prompted to install a driver type the number 0 and hit enter. This will install the latest version of adb and fastboot where it is system-wide. This eliminates the need for adb.exe or fastboot.exe to be in the same folder as the files you will be working with. NOTE: Windows will flag this as a virus! The installer is open source and made by a Moderator here on XDA. It is a False Positive. You can view a VirusTotal report (https://www.virustotal.com/en/file/25dc5dca2494d1b1d93832b37ba9852b4f076bba86cf5029b4c944a28a1a01a1/analysis/]HERE[/url]). 26 out of 67 virus scanners report it as a virus. If your Anti-Virus is one of the ones that flag it as a virus, I would suggest you explore other Anti-Virus software, but that’s not what this guide is about.
1B. As per the instructions on Moto’s site, you need to download and install the latest official drivers from Moto. (Download)
1C. Head over to the Moto website and follow the instructions to unlock your bootloader. (Moto Website)
After you are done on the Moto website your bootloader will be unlocked! This is necessary to be able to modify system files for root, roms, and other various tweaks!
Hi, the official drivers link not working for me.
https://motorola-global-en-roe.cust...prod_answer_detail/a_id/99344/p/30,6720,10383 <-- Installs the whole Motorola Device Manager along with the usb drivers, which can be also used to update firmware. I don't know if this is good or bad for rooted phones.
https://motorolausbdriver.com/download/motorola-moto-g6-plus <-- just the driver for windows
Thanks for this article and the work that has gone into it.

I can get into the bootloader on my phone, with `adb reboot bootloader` or pressing the power and volume down key. The problem is that once I'm in the bootloader in fastboot on my pc it doesn't recognise my phone, usb debugging + oem unlock is on in dev settings. I got in once, but after many tries I wasn't able to have a connection anymore. On my phone it says that the usb is connected, so that isn't the problem. I haven't tried it on a 2.0 usb slot yet.

Same as unlocking but in reverse order.
Unlocking:
- activate OEM unlocking
- use command 'fastboot oem unlock'
=> First boot with an unlocked bootloader loads your unmodified stock ROM until you flash another ROM.
Here you start locking the bootloader with the same conditions. This means you have to flash the latest stock ROM before doing anything else.
Then (after you successfully boot your unmodified stock ROM once!!) you can boot into fastboot mode and execute 'fastboot oem lock'.
NEVER EVER deactivate the OEM unlock option before everything is ok!! The meaning of ok is, that your locked device will boot into system AND you have a functional Wifi and mobile connection. After this step (and only after that!) you can deactivate the OEM unlocking option.
