Hello guys! I think I messed up big time.. I had just rooted my phone and was going to install my new rom (RomAur) from the sd-card (I followed a guide on youtube). Then I used dualrecovery to formate the phone before I installed then phone. But when I did this and my phone rebooted, then I couldn't enter dualrecovery or anything. And my phone is stuck on "SONY". So my guess is that i accidentally deleted my rom... What do I do? .... Im happy for any help I can get! :good:
MOD EDIT
Hi,
I have edited the title of your thread just to make it a bit more acceptable to all eyes. Also, I have deleted your comments about committing insurance fraud. We don't like to see that kind of thing on XDA
Thanks

Have you tryed flashtool and flash back to original state ?
When you formatted the system you deleted the recovery as its in that partition
I simple flash of a stock FTF with flashtool will fix it. Or you can force a repair using Pccompanion.
After that, root, install dual recovery and DO NOT FORMAT SYSTEM when you install the ROM.

No, I very rarely format system as when you install the rom it does that.
But what happened here was he formatted the system and then rebooted. Hence no system and no recovery anymore....

How did you root please?
I have been looking for a stock ROM for Lenovo Tab 2 A10 30 as well, but to no avail. I have run into issue when the tablet freezes in
' Checking Connection' screen after factory reset (Lollipop 5.1.1). In my mind re-installing ROM could fix this issue.
The version I am looking for is : TB2-X30F_S000015_160115_ROW
Does anyone know where to find this ROM?
Alternatively does anyone know how to get pas the dreaded 'Checking Connection' screen?
Thanks!

I successfully updated my Lenovo Tab 2 A10-30 F to android 6.0.1 using this guide :
http://lenovo-forums.ru/forum/574-lenovo-tab-2-a10-30-achilles/
There is a list of roms for A10-30, A 10-30F and A10-30L tablet variants.
Had no issue at all.
Copy rom to external micro sd card, reboot in recovery mode, flash and wait about 5 minutes.

Hi Bora
Can you please tell me if you were rooted before you did this.
I guess this is the rom you used
Google translate isn't the best with Russian and I don't want to brick.
I have a rooted A10-30f but after reading the the post I am not sure if I can do the "ota sd card method" or if i need to use the "Qualcomm QFIL method".
Thanks
No I did not rooted tab before I flashed.
Did exactly what they wrote.
My tab are working like a charm, no even one bug or random reboot.
Has anyone successfully rooted this device on marshmallow? I done it with kingroot, but every time I restart the device it loses root.
???

First I rooted tab , using NewKingrootV4.9.7_C152_B335_xda_2016_10_18_105243 via recovery ( pwr+home+volume up).
then :
Downloaded the .zip file
Placed the .zip file on the internal SD card and followed Blaikey's instructions:
1. Power off the tablet
2. Hold Power and volume up buttons together until tablet starts booting
3. Release the power button but keep holding the volume up button
4. Once recovery has loaded select 'apply update from external sdcard' or 'apply update from internal sdcard'
5. On the next screen Choose your update zip file
6. Confirm update and wait for the update to install, tablet will reboot when finished
After that the tablet would not startup. I rebooted again in this mode and then chose "wipe data/factory reset".
Then it came back OK, with Androïd 6.0.1
This rom is not for A10-30L?

Did you get this working on A10-30L (not A10-30F)? I have A10-30L and the ROM available from lenovo-forums.ru for the L variant seems to be corrupt. The "F" ROM looks OK but of course my system refuses to install it as it's for a different hardware version. When I open each archive the file structure inside is different--it seems the L archive is missing some files.
Thanks.
PROBLEM SOLVED, THANK YOU !
Hi.
I just recently rooted my Honor 5X (KIW-UL00 , it's the chinese model)
I then tried installing a custom ROM, the LineageOS. Problem being that I was stuck in a weird BootLoot. When I rebooted the system, it showed me the usual Honor page for like 4-5 seconds, then the loading screen for LineageOS. After like 10 seconds, the animation stopped, the thing crashed and my phone restarted to the Honor page, then Lineage, then crash ... So I booted my phone with TWRP, tried Wiping the Cache and System and started over again with installing Lineage. The same thing happened. I then tried with 3 other custom ROM'S and the same thing happened. I don't know what I did wrong, I am wiping my cache and Dalvic each time, but I can't figure out what to do.
I'm looking for someone who could help me fix this. I am thinking about flashing the stock ROM, I just don't know how to do it, because it seems different than the custom ROM'S
PS: I'm looking for a kick fix, because I kinda really need my phone xD
Thank you!
Ok so, quick update, I got rid of TWRP by flashing the stock recovery over it. I tried to follow this:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/help/honor-5x-kiw-ul00-boot-loop-t3449554
(DigiGoon's first answer) but it told me that the installation failed.
So in short, my phone is actually in a endless bootloob, trying to boot no ROM, because the're none.
what's the stock system version you were running before you flashed the custom rom? B418 is the latest non VoLTE firmware.
It was Marshmallow 6.0.1... I found my mistake
We can't downgrade using the SD card method and I was trying to install 5.0
Now I need to find the stock version for the KIW-UL00 6.0.1
you can downgrade with the help of hisuite by huawei.
if your stock system was above B422, you can use this patch to stop the bootloop,
just flash the file in twrp after you flash the rom. https://mega.nz/#!tK51gDRL!S9oYLBTeFDbN0hOCzt5jQ5DYECObFC08YMr-Kml6scc
Problem is that I dont have any ROM or custom recovery running on my phone. I can only acess the bootloader, the eRecovery (that for some magical reasons, doesn't work for me) and the SD card installer, that also doesnt work because the only thing I can find is a UPDATE.APP that is on 5.0, when my phone was on 6.0.1, which doesn't work.
HiSuite doesn't even connect and I don't know what VolTE is, can you explain?
Can someone can help me in finding the Stock ROM for KIW-UL00 (the chinese version of Honor 5x) on android 6.0.1. I can find those for every country except china...
EDIT, I was able to get back on TWRP, so I can add files in my phone
haubudam, i freaking love you dude, you saved me

And what about this encryption tab in backup, what's that for?

The encryption tab is an optional feature if you want to encrypt the backup files generated with a password - much like adding a password to a zip file.
For which partitions to backup to save a full working ROM - see https://twrp.me/faq/whattobackup.html however I haven't tested for MIUI 10/Android Pie on the 9SE.
Did someone successfully restore a backup made with this recovery?
For anyone having issues with flashing. Try disconnecting the cable after flashing and boot into recovery with power + vol up. I am running on stable eu rom with magisk now. Seems to work smoothly

But the recovery doesn't ask me for any pin or pattern.
I flashed twrp recovery and all seems good but when i try to boot into twrp there is always still the stock recovery. I tried also with 2 different fastboot but nothing changes. What i need to do ?
when the recovery is flashed, instead of rebooting device when in fastboot mode, just press vol+and power button

Hello everyone, a little question. Now I'm running Android 10 miui 11.0.1 rooted with magisc and using pitch black recovery.. It supports the Ota update the same as stock recovery.
My question now is if I upgrate from MIUI 11.0.3 to miui 12.0.3 what will happens with the root? Will I need to delete the data partition?.. Maybe the new version fill found the phone rooted and the phone won't boot.. So I will need to format data..

Hmm.. It is a simple Ota update so maybe it won't format anything.. But I'm thinking after Ota update done maybe the root is gone.. And for the Android 10 if you root your phone after flashing magisk always need to perform a data format..so I don't want to lose anything yet.. I don't know.. ?

Better to understand how magisk perform the root to understand where files go, i think it do something in boot.img and that is one if the images that Will be flashed i know, i updated it yesterday and a little tweak i had done was gone.

Yes the magisc use boot.img for root. So the new Ota update will get for sure a new boot.img.. So my phone will no more be rooted.. And if root after that I need to clear the data.. So.. No reason.. Better no update ?

i tell you that because i think stock recovery reset some other partitions that TWRP doesn´t reset. And you can always change again to TWRP.
But it worked for you is what matters.
I've updated my mi 8 lite. I am using orange fox recovery, updated it using OTA (orange fox also sports it since you keep some auto generated files at sdcard) and I had not to format data partition. In fact, the update did not erase any user info. The only thing I had to do was to flash magisk zip again and voila, root is back and full functional again.
