At maximum brightness (or auto) I don't have any problem of readability under direct sun. It's not perfect, but readable.
What kind of problem? I also had an issue with the phone in direct sunlight. Darker colors would be all messed up on lighter backgrounds and I returned the phone back to Samsung under warranty.
I did had issues while set to auto brightness. For some reasons (battery was more then 50%) the handset didn't switch to higher brightness, but once I managed to half blindly set this up manually (not even to full 100%), it was perfectly readable.
Haven't tried the auto brightness since (it's pretty rainy today).
When my S3 is low brightness, its display refresher rate is also low.And when rock my phone,I can see the display discontinuous, but high brightness is not.
I don't use other apps .What's the matter with my phone? Is it nomal or dose it has the quality problems?
Thanks.
I'm sorry for my bad English.
So i have bought this phone couple days ago
when i started using it i firstly noticed that colors flicker bit they dont change colors or anything just getting darker and brighter... and yes i have disabled auto brightness
im not sure if its the screen or the OS or app
the os is lollipop Android 5.1
anyone else with other phones or same phones same problems?
i have noticed also that some apps dont flicker like that probably the darker colors they use i guess?
Same problem here as you have I think does it on brighter colours and mostly grey? Also how long does your k4000 pro take to charge mine takes over 9 hours from empty.
I bought a samsung galaxy s10e 2-3 weeks ago and ive noticed that when its low brightness theres some weird glitch or maybe hardware problem going on.For example when i have instagram open i go to recent apps and swipe left to right it leaves a weird blue-ish trail behind. When its max brightness it nearly doesnt even do it.I really need help with this because if it is just a software bug it's fine but if it is a hardware problem then maybe exchange it to the store.Phone is basicly just like i bought it with the default screen protector.
Nobody but a few owners complained about "adaptive brightness" bug , issue or whatever is it !
Is this a randomly issue or is a general problem ? To me is a very annoying problem so I'm thinking to sell my phone only due to this . Several updates received didn't solved this bug so I'm thinking next major update to A12 won't solve it as well . More then that it seems OnePlus 9 , 8, 8T and Nord series have problems with "adaptive brightness" wich meening a well done display brightness in sun light but indoor or poor light brightness is dimming under absolutely low suported values .
What can I do , I'm very frustrated !!!
How is yours ? Works well ?
No problem here, auto brightness is working fine in low light / medium light conditions.
The only complaint is the very placement of the ambient light sensor and proximity sensor (upper right corner) , when I bought a new bumper case to replace the original one provided in the box I noticed a lot of dust was accumulating between the bumper and where the sensors are in the corner of the screen, resulting in lot of issues with auto-brightness and pocket detection . Now I have a very thin protective case with a better cut and I didn't had a single issue since then.
Same problem here. Every evening when it gets dark, the sensor doesn't work properly on auto brightness.
For now, only solution is the app ''Velis auto brightness'' from the Play store. With this app the sensor works fine. I reported this bug 3 times but no solution in the updates for now.
I know , I used Velis for a time but Isn't correct , common sense to use a third party apk for solve bugs phones . Since December I found only you claimed this issue but rest of owners ?
Seems to be only us ? Now I'm going to think this problem affect only a few phones !?
Hmm - I have kind of the opposite issue, not a bug though.
For my liking - and compared to my old Mi Note 5, the screen could be more dim.
Id there a way to tell the phone to tune brighteness in general lower in adaptive mode? Also for the sake of battery life...

Anyone still had this issue recently? I am suffering here and it's quite frustrated.
Yes , the problem persist although there was an major update but is diminished . It's not a big issue , now . Still exist !!!
