TIL: there is a way to take full screen shots with capture+ - LG V10 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so, until today i thought that with capture+ you can only take screen shots using the 'crop' tool. and for full screenshots you have to use the power+volume down buttons in the back of the phone. but I discovered that if you open capture+ and just press the check mark on the left, the whole screen is captured. mybe it's trivial information, but I read about people complaining there is no whole screen capture button.. well, there is. . hope this helps someone.

[Q] cant capture screen shot with the palm method on sgs3

hi i have selected the option to take a screen shot from my settings by swiping my palm but it wont capture a screen shot does any one know what i am doing wrong or can help me?
It takes a bit of practice and doesn't always work for me.
Put your palm perpendicular to the screen with your pinkie touching the edge of the left wide side of the screen and slowly slide your hand across. Try it a few times and it'll probably work. If not there's always home + power.

Hi,
it took me also some time to get it. But you have to slightly touch the screen and then go from one side to the other.
Here is a short description and 2 videos of both methods (palm and home/power button):

it dose not want to work for no reason bro.
If you really need to get it done and got adb on your computer you can use this command: /sbin/screenshot /sdcard/pictures/sgs3screenshot.png
Its more of a karate chop, right to left than a palm
It works well for me. Make sure it is enabled in your settings first of all.
The way it works is not by touching the edges of the screen when swiping, it's just by swiping your palm on the screen. It will detect a large mass moving across the screen and capture the image.
Make sure you swipe horizontally in accordance with the device's orientation.

In stock image "Gallery", when zooming a pic, screen goes black

In stock image "Gallery", when zooming a pic, screen goes black .
After the ICS update, the image gallery also suffered a problem. Sometimes while viewing a pic and you double tap to zoom in, suddenly the screen goes black...no pic. Start to zoom back out and the image comes back..zoom in again..image black screen again. This happens with random pics and wont fix itself unless you Force Stop the app in Control panel. It wont always be the same pics..anyone else get this? Its not important, I just wondered if this is just something on my phone..
After updating to the OTA, everyone has problems until they do a factory reset. It clears out all the GB crap that messes it up.
Backup your data and then power off your phone. Take out the battery and put it back in. Then press power and volume down until you see he white screen. Use the volume keys to highlight and power to select "factory reset".
Forgot I wrote this, sorry. Already did a reset long ago as per suggestions by others for other problems since the update. So the problem never fixed itself. Its some crap with ICS. Its annoying because now I keep getting this problem.
Has anyone else experienced this before?
Ok..obviously nobody knows about this. I'm going to take a short video and i'll have it up within a couple days. This photo browser is pissing me off! Is there a better or just as good (FREE) app out there in the market or on XDA? Something that doesnt have this bullsh** problem in it? Thanks ahead of time for any replies.

[Q] Camera button.

I'm used to my Nokia 808 which allows for the Camera button to jump directly to Camera mode even when the phone is locked. With the S4 Zoom I have to hit power once, swipe then long press camera button. I was wondering if anyone has figured out a way to assign the Camera button to launch Camera app even when locked? I'm sure there must be a button app out there than can be mapped to do this?
ANyone?
Cheers,
Dunker
Haven't heard about this. The fastest way is setting a camera shortcut on lockscreen.

I saw that option, but it's not really ideal, sometimes I just want to use the phone as a phone and not a camera, closing down camera everytime is annoying.
The Nokia 808 worked by long press on camera button and straight to camera (even if locked), or you could swipe screen etc and use the phone like a phone. This was ideal for all circumstances.
Right now I have set to have no lock screen and then just hit the power button once and then long press of camera to get going, but I would prefer just to set the camera shutter button to launch Camera at any time (other than device being powered off).
Perhaps there is a button remapping app?
Spooky!
I had the same thought this afternoon - not actually sure why, was just in an idle moment!
It would be a good and sensible option to have but I've got no answer, other than to have a link on your home screen or just long press the camera button after inputting your PIN code.

I just bought the official Galaxy S4 Zoom case. It has one of those screen flip covers. I noticed when you pull the flip back to access the phone it automatically comes on, therefore once you press the camera button after this yer straight in.
Now i don't know how the flip cover works, whether it's like slightly magnetic and sends a signal etc, but this idea dawned on me...
If you had a simply cheap silicone case (or a screen protector) and had yer S4Z facing down on the desk, when you picked it up and turned it over it would automatically come on, then you press the camera button to launch the camera. That might work. Of course if it's in your pocket then that might not work...
Unfortunately the official case obscures the battery compartment and microsdcard slot, but worst of all the tripod mount! I could live with the others being covered but not the tripod mount. I'm going to attempt to drill a hole in the right location for the tripod mount... wish me luck!

Camera Photos randomly not saved!!!

Using my Lg v30 on stock v21h EUR (issue exists since Two firmware updates!)
After i take a Picture with the stock camera, it is not saved to the device. A reboot or using a different galery app is not solving the problem.
At the beginning i thought I forgot to take. The picture... But the problem Exists! Even a friend has exactly the same issue. I cannot say when it happens. Its totally randomly.
Foubd nothing abiut thid problem in the internet. Only that the v20 had similar problems.
Anyone else out there with this camera behaviour?
It happens to me sometimes as well, but I think I pinned down the situation when it happens: When I use the quick launch action (double press vol-down) from a locked screen, snap a photo, then turn off the screen before I see the photo preview appear. If I remember to wait to see the photo appear it always saves the photo.

The Xperia 1 camera button is not taking photos

Hi all,
just got the grey version, really loving the body colour!!!
I tried to press the camera button (even at locked screen mode),
it has no problem, just hold long enough like 1 second.
however the problem is when the camera is launched, the button seems not working at any sense for 1 minute.
even i long press it.
it will not focus or do anything at all. I can only press the screen button (the circle white button on the right) to take photos.
Is it normal?
I have already reset the camera setting once, and issues stays.
Does it happen to you too?
Not normal. May be a hw issue.
I have this issue too, don't think it's a HW problem because it's opening camera.
There is a setting for camera key in camera settings. Off, launch only or launch/capture

I can find this option, but my question is when camera is launched, the button should be able to take photos, but it just not working for 10 or more seconds.
(1 minute may be a bit exaggerated.)
Something is up. Mine immediately takes the picture when pressed.
It confirmed with software defect.
exchange another xperia immediately.
