Ethernet drivers. - Samsung Galaxy Ace 4

Hi all.
I currently have the Galaxy Ace 4 (G318ML) and would like to install drivers for ethernet connectivity. I understand the drivers have probably been removed from the kernel with this model. Any suggestions are an appropriate root/custom kernel?

[Q] Android driver question.

Hello!
I'm new to the forums, but I'm not so new at rooting and custom ROMs.
My question is: Are Android drivers (the ones on the phones themselves) backwards compatible? I was planning on porting Froyo to the Nexus S (Sprint CDMA), would that be possible without specific Froyo drivers? Would the Gingerbread drivers work just as well?
Thanks!

[Q] Drivers for USB 3g MOdem

OK Guys.
Here is the problem. I live in Pakistan where 3g is not available and everything else is pretty much useless.
I own a Samsung Galaxy S3 running Stock Jelly bean 4.1.1 rom with Siyah 1.7 b1 kernel. My question is can I use my Huawei EC169 Usb 3g modem with my phone USB OTG?
Ok here is what I have done already
I used PPP widget which looked promising but it came up with an error "No Driver Found" so I contacted the guy who made this widget. He asked me to send the logs and then he replied that
"Your 3G modem needs either the option.ko or the usbserial.ko driver but none of them were present in your system.
You'll have to find a kernel build for your phone which have them included".
Can someone help me out here. He said xda-developers might be able to help.
Thanking in anticipation

CWR (Installation 3G)

Hi guys i have got a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 I am not sure if its 3G or 4G as it seems there are two available, its a south African unit, so i am guessing that its related to the European market, i would like to install clockwork recovery and have installed in on my 7inch tab, via odin, i am just wondering what version of CWR should i use or which one is best suited for this tablet? And if anyone could point me to the links for the 3g European version of CWR, or is it possible to use the Wifi only version for this tablet..
Edit. : I have updated to ICS manually via the android menu & have downloaded the Filesfordummies.zip ~ and would like to know if its possible to flash recovery-cwm_4.0.0.4-sam-tab-10.1.tar.md5 on my device?
thanks in advance for any help.

If we assume you got a galaxy tab 10.1 and not the down-specified galaxy tab2, my guess would be it's a P-7500
I would in that case recomend go for Cyanogenmod and flash bootloader, modem and recovery (which is clockwork) from either
http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/roms/cm10/p4/ or http://droidbasement.com/galaxy/roms/cm10.1/p4/ depending on if you want CM10(Android 4.1) or CM10.1(Android 4.2)
Read more on Pershoots blog http://droidbasement.com/db-blog/
Choose whichever but DO NOT MIX THEM.... because the filestructure is completely different since Android 4.2 supports multiple useraccounts.
I just love CM10.1, but I'm a bit of a hacker and also a gambler..... If you like it safe, stick to CM10 for now

[Q] Android versoin requirements for MultiRom???

I searched the forums and havent found anything conclusive regarding the capatibility of the Note 2 MultiRom port and the 4.3 kernel in Alliance Rom build 26.
Im not sure if MultiRom strictly requires AOSP 4.4.2 or just a kernel with the kexec_hardboot.
Im afraid of making a mistake that would require a computer to get my phone working again. My phone is my only computer at this very moment. Thanks

[Q] Dualboot

Hello,
I own a Samsung Galaxy Trend Plus and I have a CWM recovery. I recently installed CM11 and there's a huge bug: can't make phone calls. And the development was terminated because of the lack of Broadcom's drivers. :crying: So I was already planning on reinstalling the stock rom, then I did some research online and I found a solution: dual boot! I could have stock rom and CM installed at the same time.
I went searching online and I only found guides/apps/videos for specific devices or for Android and Ubuntu, but I want two android roms. Since my phone isn't very popular, I found out there's no guide for it. :crying:
My question is: is there a way to dual-boot/multi-boot/dual-rom/multi-rom for this device/all android phone in general?
Best regards,
FlyingPancakes
