Bootloop out of nothing. Please help - OnePlus X Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi there,
Just at once my Oneplus X got into a Bootloop.* The phone was playing music when it happened.* He keeps restarting after the very first screen.
He was running on the latest original software. No root and the phone is not unlocked.* He is complete original.
Does anyone have an idea what I can do to get my data back or get the phone running again?* I know I can try a factory reset by pressing the power button and hold volume down but I don't want to loose my data and maybe there are some other options I can try??
Thank you for anny idea or suggestion..

you had TWRP installed ? if yes then open that and connect the device to PC, MTP should show internal and external (if any) storage. copy your stuff and flash something else.

Go to oneplus x recovery, and wipe cache and dalvik. Restart and see.
Note: phone is not a "He", phone is "it"

No unfortunately I don't have TWRP installed. it's completely original. So I can't try that.
Thanks for your reaction.

I already tried that, but it did not work. There was no option to wipe the dalvik cache.
Thanks..

If you followed the steps correctly, ClockworkMod Recovery will be flashed to your Motorola DROID RAZR and you can use it to flash custom ROMs. Now, every time you reboot, you will boot into recovery. You must select reboot option to boot normally. If you enter a bootloop, press and hold Volum Down + Power buttons for about five seconds.

Once in cwm wipe that cache and dalvik and see it that helps. Umm if not maybe do a factory wipe in cwm.

Maybe use RSD to wipe and go back to factory. Do your phone get recognized by the computer when plugged in with the usb cable? If so just flash back.

Stuck on infinite bootloop - no rom HTC ONE M7

I searched the forums, looked like everyone who had this problem rooted their phones and installed custom roms, however i did not tamper with the phone in anyway, no rooting or custom rom, just nothing, this is the 3rd time in 6 weeks i get stuck in an infinite restart loop, i did two factory resets and i can't just do another one, i'm sick of this! there has to be a way to stop this, please help!
so far i have tried:
1-installing an antivirus and scanning (nothing found)
2-restarting in safe mode, the phone continued to restart in safe mode
3-uninstalled new apps that i installed recently
there has to be a way!!
Just found out that Facebook app is doing the trouble, whenever i load it the phone restarts, so i decided to uninstall it, i tried going in settings > apps, once i open there before reaching facebook the phone would restart, i can do whatever i want with the phone but i cant go to settings > apps, then i tried uninstalling it by pressing and holding the app icon and i was given the option to uninstall and i did, it starts to uninstall, then the phone restarts!
After that i went into safe mood, and the same thing happened, on both methods i can't uninstall it!
what the hell is this problem?? i looked everywhere and no one has it!
Anyone ??????????????
And now when i'm receiving media on whatsapp it's restarting!!
Maybe you're having permission issues, do you have cwm?
if yes go to your recovery mode and click on advanced>fix permissions.
try that but if it doesn't work than I can help you any further
And now it's in an infinite bootloop again, restarting, 2 seconds in the main screen and then restarts again, then all over and over and over and over and over again!

Here is a explanation for Download mode
Always clean the dalvik cache
I have the same problem before. The best way to avoid bootloop is to clean the dalvik cache every time you install a new rom. If your using CWM recovery, you can find that option in advanced tab. Unfortunately if you have stock recovery , just try to format to factory reset then reboot , as soon as you successfully booted, install CMW such that you have the option to clean the dalvik cache in the recovery for your future rom installation.

Since gaining the battery screen, have you now tried to reenter recovery mode? Try using the recovery mode button combo again and see if recovery will boot.

I am not sure of the exact combination for your device, as it varies for every device. Either Google search how to boot your model into recovery, or just try different combinations. Power+volume down or up, or possibly all 3.

Try to be patient and let the format complete. It can take a while, depending on your internal storage capacity.

Do you have a "wipe cache partition" option in recovery? If so, try that as well. I must admit, this has me a bit perplexed. Since the only thing you've done, is a factory reset, there's really no reason for this error.

I am stumped. If it is an option, search and see if it is possible to flash the factory firmware to your device. Otherwise, sadly, I am out of suggestions.

Again, sadly, I am out of suggestions. Perhaps return for a warranty repair. Contact the manufacturer and explain that all you did was a factory reset and the device has become unresponsive.

Can't access recovery mode. NO HOME BUTTON

Hey everybody. I was recently playing around with SlimKat for a bit but I wiped data and It's in a bootloop (I think) .Unfortunately, the home button on my S2 is broken, so I am unable to get to recovery mode by the normal means.
Is there any other way that I can access the recovery mode without using the home button? Unfortunately the phone won't boot so I can't use an app on Android to do so. I want to reflash SlimKat and I also don't have a PC. Help it's urgently.

The only real solution is to fix the home button. At some point you will NEED it!
There are ways to get the phone working though if you want to make your life more difficult.
1. Get a USB jig to access download mode.
2. Flash stock rom for your region from sammobile or similar website.
3. Enable ADB debugging, then use ADB to reboot to recovery.
You may still run into problems doing this, as you most likely will need to do a factory reset from 3e recovery after flashing the stock rom for it to boot properly.
Please use internet search and search on XDA for more info, but I'll repeat myself: You need to fix your home button

Need help recovering data from a bricked G925F

Hello, i'm trying to help a friend recover his data from a galaxy s6 edge he bricked. He bricked it while using a software that was suposed to recover a deleted file
Now the phone cannot be shut down, it`s in recovery mode and can be reset with power and volume up down key , and get into download mode.
Good news is that he said he had activated debugging mode but he does not know what version of android he had(i'm thinking 5 or 6 )
Ok so the main goal is to get the data out , doesn;t matter if the phone is dead after that.
I did some research but i'm unsure how to proceed: as this is a phone without a sd card , the data needs to come out of the usb port. How can i do that? using a custom recovery?
Can i install a custom recovery if the phone is not rooted and bricked?
Is there any other method to get the data out?
Thank you

First of all... The phone is not bricked. Have you tried to reboot from recovery mode? In recovery click wipe cache then reboot. Any luck?
Does the pc recognise the phone in file explorer?
What exactly is the phone doing now? Stuck in recovery?
You can flash TWRP then using TWRP make a backup of data. It's hard to tell at this point if any data is already gone.
One thing to ask before you do anything.... did your friend have sync turned on in google/Samsung account and/or Google photos?
He didn't have sync turned on.
He'll come by later woth the phone and i'll see exactly how the phone is behaving

Try to make the backup of data only and see if it works. Alternatively do you have an OTG flash drive .
If you plug it into pc is it recognised in my pc/file explorer?

Could it be that the phone is not rooted ?

It shouldn't make a difference that the phone is not rooted. When TWRP first booted did you select keep system r/o or did you swipe for modification?
I honestly don't remember it asking anything but i would have chosen to keep

Try flash TWRP again and this time swipe to allow modification. Then try mount.
something came up and i have to leave it for the weekend.
I'll come back with news next week
