What do you think about this situation?
It sounds like your device is defective. I would swap it out under warranty.
I agree. That's unusual.
There's an annoying bug where the sound when you click "volume up" is coming from the speaker while headphones are connected.
Smartworld is slow!
The other things are weird...

Hey Everyone,
So got my c6833 a couple days ago. Everything was fine until i updated it.
So here is the issue. When i get notifications or phone calls the audio comes out of my top ear piece instead of the bottom loud speaker.
And to point out i do not have any custom roms or apps. Stock everything.
Anyone else having this issue as well???
Yes I got this problem too.

I have this issue too. Reboot fixes it have not found another fix. Don't know what causes it either. Seems random.

Very Bad Battery Back up....:crying::crying::crying:
Sound from the earpice insted of Speaker.....:crying::crying::crying::crying:
PC Companion Freezes.....:crying::crying::crying::crying:
And sony says : Please take your phone to a repair center for evaluation....
This is my first Sony .... They should come up with a fix really soon.......
The sound problem do comes and goes away.....But very low sound , specially when phone is connected to the charger.....
there has been a fix from Z1 forum:
1. Open Settings->Sound->Volumes
2. Slide the second slider all the way to the right
3. While the Volume slider dialog still open and the sound preview still playing, retract the Notification Bar from top to bottom (as if you are going to check any notification/toggling a quick toggle button)
4. The Playback sound will go to the main speaker, after that, restart the phone
6. If the problem persist, please uninstall updates on chrome and Smart Connect, then restart again
7. After restarting, please reinstall Chrome and Smart Connect update again.
Same sound problems
I have the same sound problems since the KitKat update. Sound goes in and out/sound gets very low randomly. Actually, the sound comes from the ear piece speaker at times when it should come from the regular bottom loud speaker. I can't hear the phone ringing if the sound is coming from the ear piece speaker! I have missed lots of phone calls because of this. It is very frustrating. A reboot will fix it for a very short time. The same with disabling/uninstalling updates for Smart Connect & Chrome. The fix never lasts. I can't believe that there is no real fix for this.
Xperia Z Ultra C6802

I have a problem with the stock camera on the 6833 after Kitkat upgrade... Freezes up and doesn't take pics... Very frustrating... Anyone else experiencing this? Honestly this update has been far more trouble than its been worth... Battery drain has also been worse...

I know how you feel man. Ive only had the phone for 2 weeks roughly now and kinda disappointed with it because of these issues, the couple day i had it before i updated it with kit kat it was awesome.
Hi all,
Been struggling with this for the last days.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S3, Rooted, with CM11 for i9300 (nightly).
Everything seems to work properly except for the Proximity Sensor.
When I make calls the screen will go black and won't recover.
Proximity Sensor Finder always show 0.0 cm as if objects are constantly near.
These are the things I tried so far, with no luck:
1. Opening the device and cleaning the sensor.
2. Creating a bolder separation between the two receptors of the sensor.
3. Running Auto Calibration
4. Running Manual Calibration returns:
Code:
$ cat state #finger on the sensor to test if the sensor is working properly
0
$ cat state #blank value
0
Code:
$ cat prox_cal
0,15
Which means my 'new' calibration adds up to '0' which makes no sense (is it?)
What else would you suggest? This is really frustrating
Any ideas???
Please give me something
I am also having this issue on my girlfriends T-Mobile s3 (d2lte i think) on CM11 M7-M9. Just now starting to investigate, but I will report back here if I find anything

Thanks but this is not really a solution.
I don't want to use an app, I want to fix the proximity sensor issue.
Any other ideas?
The point is, it was not a problem with the proximity sensor. It was a bug. Try the app, if it works, you proximity sensor is fine.

What settings in the app did you use to test it?
Enable screen wake up, restart on startup, auto lock screen, auto wake up, 2 second time out and status bar icon.

Update...
I tried flashing my CWM again and downgrading the CM rom to a stable version (10.2).
Still same problem.
What else can I do? The previous user of this phone said there was no problem (he used the stock rom).
I don't want to install a third party app to "fix" it.
I need a decent solution and a functioning proximity sensor.
You can install the app temporarily, to find out if it is a hardware problem or not. No one can help you until you fully diagnose it and find the source of the problem.

This phone seems to have some annoying volume safety reset every time i plug it into my car aux port. I always have to manually turn the phone volume up. Is there anyway to disable this and have it save my volume level?
I still have found no solution to this. Every damn day it pops up randomly to bug me about volume levels, even while I'm not listening to anything. And every single time I connect physically or bluetooth to headphones, the volume resets to 50%. Is this seriously intentional? This is incredibly stupid design logic.

I've tried this xposed module too and another one on a forum...both don't work since Huawei modified the audio volume. I get annoying notifications about unsafe volume levels and even gravity box doesn't fix it. I've asked a developer who knows more than I to look into and he said he would but without a specific timeline.

Thank you for the backup. Really annoying when people just assume you're being stupid and doing something wrong. Other modules work just fine.
I'm not assuming your doing something wrong. I've had the mate 2 since release and I have no more audio warning when I connect my LG Tone + or when I plug in my skull candy headphones. again I would check to make sure your module is checked and Xposed and gravity box is up to date. Merry Christmas
Perhaps, but that doesn't fix the 50% volume resetting issue. Every single time I connect Bluetooth or physical headphones it drops the volume. I will say I think the module blocks the volume notification popup, but I still seem to see the overlay message randomly. Like the other guy said, Huawei changed something specific here.
Shoot, I've gotten so use to turning the volume up, when I use pandora in my car on BT, that if I did fix it, I would probably turn up the volume for a long time before I got use to not doing it.
I'm Rooted and this does not happen to me and I'm using xposed no safe volume warning

I get it consistently and constantly (once every 5-10 hours of video playback) even when I had those xposed modules said to stop this annoyance. I use bluetooth headphones nearly exclusively which might have something to do with it.

Could you take pics and post your GravityBox audio settings. Maybe that is what is triggering it. I have the safe volume disabled and more music steps added.

Still drives me nuts on a daily basis. I dunno if I mentioned this, but it even randomly pauses whatever I've been listening to for any amount of time, with the screen off and everything, to beep at me with a notification sound, about how the high volume is dangerous for my ears. Telling the phone to F-off has no effect.

I'm hoping the KitKat or lollipop versions which have the newer audio work better or don't have this annoyance...

Xposed installer and modules to turn off those notifications and tell phone never to sleep white charging and protected app and run in the background. However phone had to be connected to power to charge without best case scenario was extend sleep out to 30 minutes but even still tunes would vary but once the phone would sleep after the fission of sleep and no detected user activity the phone would take over. It works with those settings as long as the phone has user activity at least once with in each 30 minute sleep interval or whichever setting. I just leave it at 30 minutes and I don't seem to have any issues especially since the screen on battery usage is very efficient.
....what?
Works sometimes, but often I have to reboot to get it to work again. Anybody else experiencing this? Have checked that settings are correct.
Mine has never worked, screen off or screen on from the lockscreen. I've rebooted multiple times. Between this and the creaky back panel that flexs, & the garbage battery life, I'm beginning to regret this purchase.
You've set language to English US?
Ya it's set to english(United States). Doesn't work from the lockscreen or with screen off. Does it work on yours?
---------- Post added at 12:50 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 PM ----------
I just restarted it and now it works. For the first time ever. Even though I have restarted this thing many times before. Let's hope it keeps working. Definitely buggy.
Mine doesn't work either. Language set to EN-US, and retrained the voice model 4 times already. Works when I'm in the launcher, but anywhere else and it doesn't work. Seems to be a Nexus 9 problem as my HTC One M7 works perfectly even in lock screen.
Works every time after reboot for me, but stops after using just a couple of other apps.

EXACTLY the same problem here (works fine on my Oneplus One, but only in the launcher on the Nexus). This thing is really buggy...
Sometimes touch is not responding. Is this software problem or any hardware related issue. Is Any one facing same problem on their phones.
Ya m also facing the same problem. Is there any solution?
I face this usually while charging plugged in , and sometime while playing pubg, the touch is not at all responsive for 3 or 4 seconds, very irritating phone and Colour OS , while watching movie when notification comes from WhatsApp, if we try to expand from notification bar, it expanses and gets stucks without any response again i have to turn off screen and turn back on, very irritating.
Once development starts for this device, i will remove colour os and install stock osand check if same problem occurs.

Backup all data to pc from internal storage and reset the device and see, if it still occurs, better take to service center.

I am also facing this issue. It is not persistent but comes and goes. After switching off the display once or twice, the problem goes away.
Not sure it the problem is software related or hardware.
