I have a Tab 2 10.1 and the Samsung Universal Desk Dock (not Media Dock). I want an always on cover that I can flip over to show the screen while docked (and being charged). What case would work? A thick case probably won't fit in the Dock.
Thinking about the Samsung Book Cover or a IVSO Smart Cover.
Would consider others that work without removing the cover before docking.
Any thoughts on what will work?

Samungs own case, expensive £38.00 but works OK on the universal dock charger. What model is your tab? It took a lot of time searching for the correct case, so many models numbers and most cases do not confirm which one fits which model etc. This one is for the tab 2 10.1 P5110 all cut outs, plus a nifty crometty thing for audio jack when in place.

Those flip covers of micromax doodle 3 uses proximity sensor to know whether the flip cover is attatched or not. till now, no moto e flip covers have smart view.

I bought a Moto 360 2nd Gen in the 42mm Black variant with a Horween leather band, It was the only option available at the time as i wanted it asap, And i'm actually satisfied with my purchase however i'm willing to purchase a Stainless Steel Black Band, However i can't find any that is compatible with the 42mm Variant as it takes a 20mm Band, I'm looking for a Black stainless steel one that consists of a butterfly clasp,
However i was wondering would any 20mm Band work with my moto360 even if it doesn't consist of the quick pin pull outs for the lugs?

make sure to order some extra pins as well, since the ones that come with the watch are attached to the strap.
For my 42mm I had gone for a cheap silicone band with quick-release pins to hold me over till I could get a proper stainless one. I figure for 12 bucks on amazon it's worth the peace of mind to know I'm not ruining the leather doing dishes or at the gym.
Got the 46mm since then, half because it was available with stainless
Get a spring bar removal tool from Ebay also, it will make your life much easier changing bands. I just bought one, they are cheap.

It's not a huge clasp, no bigger than any other watch. Plus it has the advantage of all the extra band wrapping around on the inside of the strap, instead of the outside.
The bodies look so similar. I'm wondering if my S6 cases will fit on the S7? Or if anyone has purchased an S7 case that fits on an S6 would be nice to hear as well. I own several cases for my S6 that are headed for the trash can if they don't fit.
i am curious as well. i am in the same situation.
I don't think cases will fit because the dimensions are slightly different (+ there are edges on the back).
The S7 is about 1 mm thicker, but also 1mm less in height and width.
I am wondering whether pouches would still be good for it though since they probably can adapt if the space the phone takes as a whole is the same.

the s7 cases will keep pressing the power button ,so it can not fit

No, the cases wont fit them as the dimensions are different. Try a custom leather case from Story Leather, theyre custom made leather cases
I would think not especially because of the camera being different.
Just to update. I received my Galaxy S7 yesterday and S6 cases are not compatible. The speaker, microphone, and headphone jack are in different locations. Along with the phone itself being slightly thicker than the S6. Nice phone though!
i have a mophie and mine fits but the camera is right on the cut out point . phone charges and everything ..ill post pics soon
It really depends on the case. I just got s7 and I had s6 previously - some of the cases fit with no problem.

Seriously, they are not the same. The dimension of the S7 case is 9 x 5 x 0.4 inches. S6's dimension is 6.8 x 3.5 x 0.8 inches.
But i think they could be mounted forcibly. S6 and S7 have the same location of earphone slot, the usb slot and the camera lens.

it almost fit ,but the buttons are a little bit mismatch
so you need to make a decision tho

Haha. I know i will get a humour reply like this. Actually i checked the dimension on Amazon and i found it different in different listings. Some say it's 6.8 x 5 x 0.4, some say it's 8 x 5 x 0.4.
Anyway S6 and S7 have almost the same dimension so i put a 'forcibly' barely in my last reply.
I have an s6 hard case on order, it'll probably need some trimming with a knife, i'll update when i get it.

I had a Spigen Neo Hybrid case for my S6 and it 'fit' on the S7. I say 'fit' because it mostly worked. But the camera area wasn't right and the side buttons were just slightly off. I only used it because they hadn't come out with their S7 model yet. I've since made the switch.

I just upgraded to an S7 and the only S6 case I was able to use is the one that Samsung sold for the S6 that basically just clips around the four corners. I like that one because it leaves the sides clear without any lip to get in the way. The others wouldn't fit due to the slightly different shape and the ports are not lined up. My clip case doesn't line up perfect either but it works for now. Meh.
Nothing that a sharp xacto knife can't help you achieve. Did that with two different cases and they both work. Ghetto but they work. The power button doesn't hit full on, but if you're able to do it sideways it works fine. Good enough until you find a case that you fall in love, if not keep doing it sideways...

Nice cover, I got one too. If you want (like me) the automatic screen on/off function to work when opening/closing the cover you have to do this. If you search the net some colors of the official Samsung flip cover can be bought very cheap. With a little effort the cover can be dissected and the two parts removed. It will only work if the parts are placed in the exact same location as the original.
